I had to comment because i just spent an hour trying to find a video that showed someone who actually knew what they were doing and that wasn't obnoxious at the same time aha you sir are the one i finally followed, its nice to see someone just doing what they love doing and being helpful doing it without being so thirsty for attention. You're a cool guy
Not gonna lie, I was hella concerned you were about to bleach on that table! I bet air drying helps even more with the bleaching from the sun! The shirt looks sick!!
I had a spray bottle of bleach and it really helped get that blendy/ombre look. This is a great way to start tie dye when you're a beginner to get the idea before you decide to go out and buy the kit
This is a great way to fix Accidental bleach spot. My daughters brand new tournament volleyball shirt had got a spot on it. And I turned it into something really cool that she will love thank you.
Just tried this out and it actually worked and I used 4 rubber bands and did section by section and it look just like his!!! 10/10 and totally recommended for anyone!!!
Do you have problems with the bleach eating holes thru your shirts later on, within weeks? Some say you have to do more then rinse it to stop the bleach process.
Personally no. I don’t have problems as long as I wash the bleach out within 10-15 mins. I’ve had certain shirts that I wear once a week for over 2 years. Holes are all dependent on the materials your bleaching
I have some questions, I always thought you were supposed to immediately throw it in the washer after rinsing to stop the bleaching process? Do you find that you get holes in your shirts after washing a few times?
@@nuclearholocaustin its at the end when your listing off the steps 🤣 the rest of it wasnt bad. ALSO. I did this the other day with a shirt. Turned out rad!!
Just finished doing this!!!! This is the most helpful and awesome video I have come across. Thank you Austin ..how long should I wait to wash with detergent
I typically let the shirts dry in the sun after the first initial rinse and then once they've dried I put them in the wash. It can be done all in the same day
To get the bleach smell of your hands you can either rinse them. Then rub lemon or orange with the pulp or fruit in it. My favorite is salt after rinsing my hands. The only drawback is that you will be painfully aware of knicks and tiny cuts in your hands and it will burn you.....
yeah it totally works with other colors! Check out my etsy shop, I have tons of examples of different colored bleach shirts. www.etsy.com/shop/SkeletonClosetThrift?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
Will the bleached parts continue to get lighter in color as it's drying (from reddish to more white-ish)? Or, would I need to leave the bleach on longer to get a more white-ish color?
Eventually yes, leaving it inside a bucket or bottle of bleach yes. I know that if you mix the bleach with water it will ave a lighter tone than that red dark tone in this video.
Hey great tutorial thanks for the crumb reminder on the table. But I had a question so I couldn’t find a little brother to give 3 seconds to run before throwing a football do you think that will affect the dying process?
I'm here because of quarantine and I want to say thank you so much I love how your video is funny and so simple. I want to start my first sideline project and you really gave me inspiration!
I have a tan shirt I want to bleach dye. I also want to have black running through the tie dye. Do you recommend doing the bleach and black dye at the same time? Or black first then bleach?
wanting to sell some tie dye sweatpants for my small business but the store-made ones are too expensive! can't wait to try this out! thank you for sharing your technique
How do you get the shirt to be the light yellowy color like youre wearing or like you said is that what it looks like when it dries. Im doing it rn and its straight orange red.
It all depended on how the image was printed on the shirt. If it’s kindof risen up a bit it should be fine but if it’s a water based ink print you’re kindof running the risk of bleaching it off
Hey dude I want to try to make my own but I'm confused...do you dilute your bleach at all? Every other tutorial I see does but yours looks the best and you don't mention if you do. 😂

That looks so good. I am just now starting to tie dye. Did you use bleach concentrate?
Do I use straight bleach or dilute it? Also, does the bright of the orange depend on the shirt or how long it sits in the bleach?
Thank you! That was super clear and my shirt turned out fabulous! Thanks for posting.
Do i have to dilute the bleach with water or just use straight bleach?
I use straight bleach but some people will tell you this is "wrong." Just try out a bunch of different methods and see which works best for you.
Hey great tutorial thanks for the crumb reminder on the table. But I had a question so I couldn’t find a little brother to give 3 seconds to run before throwing a football do you think that will affect the dying process?
It’s actually super important to the process. But you could just find a neighbor or a stranger on the street and it’ll work just the same.
Should i mix the bleach with water? If i should, then how much? Btw thanks for the video🖤

I did indeed wash and dry the short afterwards and it doesnt ruin them

Did you dilute the bleach with water in the bottle?
Love the swirl pattern for sure have to try it
You definitely should give it a try!
When I’m rinsing out should I use soap or detergent or just rinse with water?
With the initial rinse just use water. Once you rinsed the bleach out you can wash them in detergent
Love this video!!! Do you use straight bleach? Or do you dilute it a little?
Floweon the more you dilute it the longer you need to leave it on
this is so dope i’m about to try rn
Emory Winter good luck
Is the bottle just bleach or a mixture of bleach and water?
the chill vibes i needed
I put out new stuff all the time. Feel free to check out some of my other vids
if u leave the bleach in longer will it make it white instead of orange?
Lottie. cxnner.x it will definitely make the color lighter but you start to run the risk of the bleach eating the fabric
Do u use straight bleach or 1/2 bleach 1/2 water?
How do you get the shirt to be the light yellowy color like youre wearing or like you said is that what it looks like when it dries. Im doing it rn and its straight orange red.
leave the bleach on for a longer amount of time to get the more yellow color.
just done this on two old tshirts, looks so good! thankyou :))
Thank you Austin. Gonna try this today.
that looks absolutely awesome
thank you so much
i did it 10 minutes ago and WOW you made my dream true :) thank you so much for that diy!!!!
Glad I could help 😄
Simple and affective. Nicely done.
thank you!
If you did diluted bleach and water, could you have variety in color?
if I am wanting to add color dye to the bleach, do I need to rinse out all the bleach before I add color?
Ayishah I definitely would wash it before adding color. If you add the color right over top of the bleach it’s going to fade
Yo yo yo, what if the shirt has an image on it? I got one with an image of Michael Scott but I’m not sure if the bleach will mess it up :-/
It all depended on how the image was printed on the shirt. If it’s kindof risen up a bit it should be fine but if it’s a water based ink print you’re kindof running the risk of bleaching it off

could i do a quick wash in the washer minus the soap? then air dry?
I think i’m in love with you
same tbh
Was that 100% bleach? Or did you mix it with water?
Ry Spring personally I use 100% bleach. You can use watered down bleach but it’s going to have to sit on the shirt longer to get the colors to fade.
