Great review... as you know, I love these machines. Sold a bunch of them new back in the day. It was kind of the Miele for shops that didn't carry Miele. I have the same machine in red that was a floor model... I'll have to drop it into a video at some point.
I think I will really like the new series!! FYI, we did get Bosch vacs dating back to 1990 and even a few year before I do believe. I currently have in my collection an early 1990 Bosch Variomatic upright. It was also sold in the UK under the hotpoint brand as a hotpoint electronic deluxe, but it was made by Bosch in Germany as best as I can tell.
I bought a Bosch stick vac called Flexa 4 about a decade ago. Also a 1400 W motor (230 V), but, man, this thing is so noisy you need hearing protection. It is by far the loudest vacuum I have ever owned. No comparison to the quiet canister. The brush roller bristles are very soft--great for delicate rugs.
Self sealing bags are one of the best innovations made in vacuum bags... these seem like decent machines though. I think for the money I still would have gone with the Miele. Speaking of vacuum bags do you think bagged machines are going to make a comeback? My dad brought up to me that he watched the infomercial for that kenmore bagged machine they just came out with. He was actually onboard with buying one due to the sanitary empty feature of it.
You're definitely right self-sealing bags are a must. I always think of that as a standard feature growing up with old electroluxs I think bagged vacuums never really went away I suspect that will always have both bagged and bagless. But the more people learn about Vacuums ,the more likely they are to buy bagged.
Still many people use this vacuum here. Some of them last forever. However EC forbids nowadays high wattage vacuums. From 2017 > 900 Wtt is not allowed anymore.

I like how the production quality increased. Immer besser!
I love the way theses Boschs looked. The translucent green Beetle Dual Tech and the premium prestige are my two favorite boschs.
A quirky, yet a fascinating machine! Bosch definitely did try to make a splash in the American market for vacuum cleaners. Absolutely cool!
That must be the quietest powerhead in the history of vacuums. It’s a great vacuum for wool and silk area rugs.
Oh I love the start up to your video!

I’d like to see if your Electrolux Model 30 XXX will drive your WW low wattage turbo nozzle.
I need to get a proper hose for my model 30 unfortunately the one I have has rotted.
If the body feels "soft," it's more than likely polypropylene, or PP.
