    I've worked in the funeral business for over 13 years, if there's corruption involved with a funeral home, you can automatically guarantee that they probably did vile things to the female corpses that they were hired to take care of as well. When i first started years ago, there wasn't a single time where handlers didn't take at least 30 seconds to grab and feel all over their private parts prior to embalming the body. It made me extremely angry to know that my own mother will eventually be defiled as well when her time comes. There's really nothing you can do considering that there are no laws in place to make cameras mandatory in every room of a funeral home

    Funeral directors must be extremely trustworthy because they are handling the final arrangements for the deceased. The family of that deceased person is about as vulnerable as they have ever been and, therefore, should be able to trust this person. Betrayal of that trust is about the lowest thing a person can do. There needs to be more oversight of funeral homes so that this kind of betrayal will be less likely to occur.

    It seems a lot of funeral homes are experiencing this. The families never pick up the remains because they never pay for the cremation or for the body to be sent anywhere else.
    the owner can’t afford to pay the cremator for their services because nobody paid the owner. Then eventually nobody will cremate for them and they have this body with nowhere for it to go and no money to do anything with it. Of course the family never comes to pick up the remains because then they’ll have to pay their balance.

    In the US, you have the right to keep the remains at home (the d.e.a.t.h must be reported) but you can keep them at home and go with them to either the burial or crematory. With cremation, the family has the right to be there and even push the button to start the process. In Japan, the cremains are not ground in a cremulator like in the US, but rather the family places the remains in the urn, first starting with the bones of the feet and working upward until the skull is placed last. YOU are their family and YOU have rights! Don't let scammers like these people Iie to you or make you worry that your loved one won't be treated with dignity.

Most people believe that they have to leave the body in the care of a funeral home. They don't. They have many options, including keeping the deceased in their home and mourners can come to the house to pay their respects there. @@RADIUMGLASS I was informing people that the funeral rituals as practiced in Japan help the mourners deal with their grief. I personally think it should be an option in the US. If it were allowed here, it would help families know that they really are receiving he cremains of their loved one so they don't have to worry that the bag of "ashes" they've been given is the wrong body or just a bag of cement powder. If they want to be at the crematory and push the button to start the cremation, they have the right to choose one where the family is welcome to participate and not the one where the operator thinks his comfort in the workplace is more important than the family's comfort in getting to say goodbye to their loved one.

    • @joywebster2678
      @joywebster2678 5 місяців тому +1

      They arrange the funeral home to pick up deceased, straight to cremation. Then talk about a memorial service, and pitting the cremains somewhere, but gosh that doesn't come together, and the box sits at the gu real home awaiting directions, pick up or bill payments. So families are often part of the issue.

      @chicfini if you don't pick up mommas cremains and pay... I didn't say that was what happened here. So hmmm all you like I've seen it, and worse in working in health care and knowing Funeral home owners.

    • @chicfini
      @chicfini 5 місяців тому +2

      @@joywebster2678 Of course payment is due, but does the family attend the cremation or not? I know of people that got cremated and were there for the cremation because they LOVED that deceased family member. You send them off properly with respect.

    • @joywebster2678
      @joywebster2678 5 місяців тому +1

      @chicfini that's what called the choice of service. Many options. Have a regular open casket funeral service ( caskets for cremation offer rentals for this type of service), or more crematorium are building a space beside the " furnace" and small services can be held there, andcyes it ends with pushing the body on its cardboard covered container into the crematory. Others do as I described earlier when you hmmmmed, and have it all done without their involvement, and the " plan" is to bring the cremains in a nice vessel and do a memorial service with it, then inter it in a columburium, or whatever is culturally desired. So it's not about love as you suggest, in my experience it's about the survivors faith style. Most of the oops forgot to pick up the cremains, or do the memorial service view life as ended, no afterlife. So ceremony, ritual isn't part of their life. Sadly.

    This happens more than you think, especially with homeless people or people having no remaining family. A friend of mine bought a hearse with no title to use for parts and a body was stored in it for weeks without embalming or refrigeration. The smell never went away. After two years of windows down with a tarp over it, it didn't gag you, but you immediately got a strong odor of decay.
    To be clear, when he towed it home, with the windows up, people were vomiting at stop lights.
