This guy rightfully deserves the heavy hand of the law.
But when child molesters are doing 6 months (if anything at all), you have to acknowledge that there is something seriously wrong with our society.
If this warrants 12 years in prison, than pedophiles deserve something unspeakable.

      I agree with you!
The punishment doesn't fit the crime. You would think this man killed the ppl. Shut his business down yes !!! But 12 years for mishandling dead bodies ? ??? What in the world is going on in our justice system ??? My Lord !!!

Thank you. Sentencing makes no sense at this point. And although he deserves time maybe it would be better for him to pay the families, than waste taxpayer money housing him. We need to deal with pedos and violent abusers. He should probably do SOME time but community service would be more useful.

I agree. I just watched a news clip of a 6 yr old little girl escaping from a kidnapper. Kid was taking the trash out, right out her front door and he literally just grabbed her arm and kept walking. The girl screamed and fought back and he let go. It was all captured on their ring camera. The father tracked him down in his car and called the cops. Although he was arrested, I believe the father should have simply ran him over and did society a favor. Now the POS will probably bail out or get a slap on the wrist and he'll try to kidnap again.

12 years is…………You get less time (3-10 years) when you actually kill someone while drunk driving. That’s wild to me. A guy in my town is only doing 3-5 years after killing two people while intoxicated. Mishandling bodies is a disgusting act and these families deserve justice but the fact that the prosecution was asking for 45 years at that. Crazy

It's hard enough seeing a loved one that has died from a terminal illness that took affect and they no longer look the same. The embalming at least helps bring some normalcy back to them if the family doesn't opt for cremation. It's traumatizing. Some people lack compassion now and it's insane how desensitized we have become. That's Scary.

Ok, I just read two stories to get a better idea of what happened. From what I can gather:
      1. He applied for a license to run funeral services back in 2014 and was denied
      2. He ran one anyway, using his connections as a pastor to actual funeral homes and stealing their passcodes to log in to the system and issue death certificates
      3. The authorities were eventually alerted because a driver who delivered a body to three church (where he was storing the bodies) noticed he wasn't taking proper storage procedures
      4. When caught, they found 89 bodies in the church
      Things I still don't understand
      1. If he had that many bodies not stored properly for over a month in a church, how did no one smell the rotting bodies?
      2. What did he finally do with the bodies? Clearly they couldn't stay in the church forever.
I'm going to guess that he either threw them in the town dump or something like that. Still not sure how you do that without someone noticing.

I've worked in the funeral business for over 13 years, if there's corruption involved with a funeral home, you can automatically guarantee that they probably did vile things to the female corpses that they were hired to take care of as well. When i first started years ago, there wasn't a single time where handlers didn't take at least 30 seconds to grab and feel all over their private parts prior to embalming the body. It made me extremely angry to know that my own mother will eventually be defiled as well when her time comes. There's really nothing you can do considering that there are no laws in place to make cameras mandatory in every room of a funeral home,
