Roethlisberger's 500 yard game vs. the Browns was a very very weak 500 yards. They essentially did nothing but throw the ball the rest of the game, and didn't do so very efficiently. Probably the most lameduck 500 yard game, especially considering he had 47 completions on it, which not even getting 11 yards a completion is not something that usually leads to success.
So there's never been another game that was a blowout before? That wasn't even a blowout lol. I'm not sure how your logic works, but I'm probably fortunate for not understanding
@@trizzo5147 Blowout doesn't have to mean the score is lopsided at the end. The entire game, Roethlisberger spent throwing the football because his team was down 28-0, and they spent the entire game trailing by 3 possessions on offense. The entire year he had been playing extremely inefficient football because he had barely an arm to throw down the field, and he was very much influential in the playcalling because he always called pass plays which made keying the run even easier than it already was, which compounded in them having to throw more(at an already inefficient mark) to compensate. He threw 68 passes in that game, about 60 of which were after the first quarter, pretty much meaning they spent the entire game calling passing plays against a team willing to let them slowly march down the field if it meant they killed clock, because they didn't have the defensive will to be able to stop the Browns, who had worn them out after the first quarter(doesn't help their offense also was terrible and turned it over several times) and Cleveland's offense just had to not make mistakes(which they did not) and they would win pretty handily, which they did.
Only thing i wanna critique you on is not including Passer Rating or QBR just to show the efficiency of these Historical Performances because we know completion percentage doesn't tell the whole story

In this video he talks about a QB throw for 500 yards and I don't really care because it tells me that it was a offensive attack. What I care about is how many points did the team put up whether it be offence or defense or special team's when you watch the game you will have analysis quarter by quarter to the half, and final score. And I look at the stats very important in this very physical sport, and thats why they have a helmet and all those pads worst than the NBA,NHL,SOCCERRUDBY,and look at the amount of injuries and the hits that they take but you can't compare it to boxing because it's only 2 people in the ring that's why you have a lot of referees and different cameras to see the play back in slow motion. And these cameras are in different area's too make the correct call. NOW when you talk about full contact that's a whole different story because they are using martial arts as my friend is 20 degree black belt in KUNG FU.

I saw Warren Moon break 500 yards and the QB from the other team broke his thumb, they pulled it back out and he threw for over 400 yards in that game. Seattle?
Warren Moon was set to break the record but Houston opted to run the clock out.
Brady threw for 500 yards in a superbowl. Insane.
And lost!
Should have been an mvp performance, but the defense decided not to show up. Nick Foles beat them. Wtf is Foles? He's slowly dissipating in the game.
@@chazzx1018 Defense was making up for the times Brady let them down(cough ... cough Giants x2)
Kinda odd that the Giants, known for their running game and defense, had three different 500 yard passers
norm van brocklin still has single game pass yards record. (554).😅
Can you please do a every quarterback 2 rush 4 a 100 yards in a game video
There are way too many to include in a single video, but I could do 150+ in the future!
Awesome 😎 & that would Supa dope yessir & a 150+ that's crazy work right there
@@FantasyPhenoms I watch ur videos phenomenal work & great commentary
@@smoothswift8665 appreciate you! Means a lot
Joe Burrow threw for 525 yards against the Ravens. Also, 21 quarterbacks have thrown for over 500 yards in a gane.
Now do every 6 td game since 2000 lol
On tecmo bowl with Warren Moon,I threw for over 1200 yards in one game, I say that is the record.lol all and I think I had 15 touch downs.
So you mean to tell me the footage from the 80s and 90s is that bad? I don’t think so.
Only thing i wanna critique you on is not including Passer Rating or QBR just to show the efficiency of these Historical Performances because we know completion percentage doesn't tell the whole story
Brady did it in a playoff game.
Brees is the best QB OF ALL TIME he wasn't over shadowed by manning beat him in a SB and beat Brady every time he played him expect twice
Why did the best qb of all time only win 1 super bowl 🤔 why did the best qb of all time have 3 straight 7-9 seasons and 5 over all🤔 plus 2 8-8 seasons 🤣and let's not for get a 2-9 season🤣🤣🤣
I remember the Grbac game I was 13 watching it on a 12in tv in my bedroom.
Chiefs D was terrible. They couldn't stop Brown and Rice.
I remember when Ben did it he threw for like 3 yards and the receivers got the rest after catch and hat joke the rapist was
I think the next person to do it will be Tua
18:14 when the Steelers took on the Baltimore "Raven".
Which single Raven was this?
You can do that if you’re trailing all the time.
Stroud will be added this season, broke the rookie record had over 470 yards as a rookie.
An elite Green Bay team that sat 5 starters in that game. Matt Flynn makes his 2nd career start and throws for 480 yards and 6 TD'S. They combined for 1000 passing yards in a game with no overtime
How many of these 500 yard games resulted in losses? Any team that is passing that much is probably behind early in the game. Total offense of 500 yards is a much more telling stat.
Best videos!
Thank you!
Damn. Brees had 510 yards passing but the Saints only scored 16 points? Really shows you how overrated passing yards can be sometimes.
Gotta go wit Stafford doing it again #HornUp
Wasn't missing Aaron Rodgers they were resting starters after winning all but one game and Matt Flynn came in and threw I think 6 TDs
Missed Dan Marino against the Jets.
Eli!? less than 4000yrds and 26tds to 15 ints and
9-7 record is a banner year and gets him to the pro bowl? Eli is a .500 QB but he beat Brady and pats twice so people act like he won 4 SBs.
How many did Drew Brees win🤔
I'm pretty sure burrow broke 500 twice that year and both times was against the ravens. Could be wrong tho ..
