This movie came out in the fall of 1998, I was a senior in high school....I laughed SO HARD!!! I had just gone thru a rough year - our family had to put our dog (Thumper) down that year at the age of almost 14. I was so down and not myself and it occurred to me after leaving the theatre that I hadn't laughed that hard in like 4 months. It was almost like this movie (this scene especially) helped me forget about what I was dealing with and really start to feel what it was like to laugh hard again.
I'm 31 and I wish i was alive back then to experience your era, i would very much prefer it over the mindless era of technology where people are no longer able to think for themselves.
This movie is cinematic gold. Literally comedy at its peak and SNL at its best. It's iconic and gold and not spoken about enough. When was the last time there was an SNL movie? Superstar? Bridesmaids maybe? And it still doesn't compare
It’s actually clever, vampires are creatures of the night fits with a night club. I could see it. Only black dress code, all the drinks are blood themed and red. Interior decorated to look like Dracula’s castle, blue lights to make everyone look glowing, huge cover charge for Halloween
If all clubs were like that all over now just dancing and having fun? Trust me we would get along, u can't go to dance or chill because everyone either wants trouble or shit goes sour, the 90s is truly a masterpiece!!! NOSTALGIA!!!
God, this is hilarious! It reminds me of a club in Georgetown (Washington, DC)...The River Club. The music started off on Friday and Saturday nights all low-key and mellow and then as the night wore on and people got loaded the music amped up till, around 1AM, it was solid techno. It really was a cool place even though most of the people there were well into their 40s and beyond (I was a comparative kid at the time, in my early 30s). Man I miss that place. We would party till 2:30, then head over to Bistro Francais up on M Street for a late night/early morning breakfast. By the time you were done, the police sobriety check points would have broken up for the evening and you had safe sailing home. If the owner of TRC liked you, he'd close and lock the front doors at 1:30AM (or whenever the law said bars had to close) and it became a private gathering. I remember walking out the back door into the alley way behind M Street on Saturday morning into broad daylight. Man those were some great times.
This was simply the best year of High School, 10th grade and a movie like this for the last of us GenXer's to have anything freestyle and dance in 1998. Can't believe I turned 40 two weeks ago 😂 Love Amber! She's CDN too. Then came the boybands all over again 😅
Yeah I can't believe how young Will Ferrel looks in this. Im 44 next month, so yeah, A night at the Roxbury is more than half our lifetime ago. I never really got into clubbing the way that the Butabi brothers were, but I loved this movie.
Love this movie! I started my career when this movie came out. I went on a double date with a friend and girl from work to see this movie. 26 years ago! Man where did the time go.
I love this move the whole vibe the aesthetic the music but what I love about this scene is even though there dorks they are having the time of there lives!
FUCK YEAH, THE GLORIOUS 90's THE GREATEST DECADE EVER 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍 THE BEST DAMN MUSIC YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍 THE GREATEST FASHION YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR, IT WAS ALL JUST SO DAMN GREAT
The nostalgic feeling in this movie is amazing. The dance music was one of its kind during its time. Its unfortunate we'll never see this era again.
Time will tell
True i grew up with eurodance. Good times when people were clubbing for dancing and were not spending time on their cellphones
@@Pierre-LucTremblaySame
Missed it
Might still be out there. There's a club in D.C. called "Decades" that I've gotta see wsup while my legs can still decently move.
This movie has the most underrated soundtrack ever.
For real.
but it pumps you up
Not if you're into Eurodance. It's filled with the hottest tracks of the 90s
What is love....
@@avikp7 baby don't hurt me
I love how confused the girls are with their dance moves at first but then gradually go along with it lol
90s eurodance will always be superior
This is movie belongs in a millennium museum for film history….real gem of gone but forgotten 90s nostalgia
Love the music of this era.
Do you love the prevalent anti trans bigotry of that era too? Pretty sad statement

Underrated movie soundtrack. A time capsule of 90s club hits.
One of Will Ferrells best roles, no question

After 20+ years, I am still curious about what the vampire idea was.
It involves vampires.
Like a club like in the Blade movie
It’s actually clever, vampires are creatures of the night fits with a night club. I could see it. Only black dress code, all the drinks are blood themed and red. Interior decorated to look like Dracula’s castle, blue lights to make everyone look glowing, huge cover charge for Halloween

I don't care what the critics said about this movie. This dance scene was hard.. I've seen people still mimic it in 2024
Cult classic. This movie, Clueless and Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion were my faves as a kid. So stupidly funny.
The 90's. I think I owned about 5 "little black dresses" . I loved the simplicity of that era's fashion.
