@RainbowDreams30 Have you heard the gospel of Jesus Christ before? God's holy word the Bible teaches us that we have all sinned, we have all done things our God given conscience tells us are wrong, that keep us from experiencing His holiness and goodness in our lives. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Sins such as using His name in vain, to use the name of the God who created us and gave us life, without respect or reverence, and worse, often with disrespect, jesting or even hatred. Exodus 20:7 “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” God is a just, holy and righteous God and in His love and goodness He must punish sin. If we are living sinful lives, breaking the ten commandments, and not acknowledging God in our hearts, God must punish us for our wickedness. God must send us to hell, a place of torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth, where all unrepentant sinners will go. Since we all have sinned, and fallen short, how can we be saved from this eternal place? Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” The good news, the gospel, is that God was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless and holy life, as Jesus of Nazareth, and sacrificed Himself for our sins. He shed His blood and died on the cross and took upon Himself the wrath of the Father so that we might go free. After being crucified, he was buried in a tomb, and then as prophesied, resurrected by the power of God and defeated sin, death and hell. Whosoever believes in Him and follows Him will have eternal life! Forgiven of all sin, saved from death and hell and given a new heart to truly know Him. That is the mercy and love that Christ showed on the cross. He was perfect, yet died for imperfect people like us. Please take the time, you are not promised tomorrow, to read these next verses humbly and honestly and pray for God to forgive you of your sin and grant you His Holy Spirit and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. God bless you in Jesus' mighty name! Amen. Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
0:29 First time upon viewing this shot of the joker 🃏 I was hit with a major realization that this film is something else. Something more...a modern classic.
Simply Nonsense than again , joker did burn trees , if paper is made out of wood , and paper money being green like trees , he did burn the forest down , a forest made of money , while Alfred burned a forest because of money , not that money is bad , only to make a point i guess , not about money , about sending a message
i would guess the message is to people who get so much money that it buys them , you see them when they don’t know what to do with all that money , because the initial intent was to get much money , not get money to do something , some achievement, and when you bring them the most important thing of all times , that requires some of their money , they aren’t moved , because all they want is money , not gold or glory , high art , heavenly everything, they just don’t care , they have money , their ultimate goal , what’s sad though is ‘they don’t work , they let work , and than have to keep diets’ , they don’t eat better than the poor man , by far worse , ‘they drive cars’ so does the poor man ‘they have girls’ , have you noticed , some of the most beautiful girls are to be found at some poor ppl places , the girls i see in the streets i don’t see walking the red carpet , no way , ‘they have big houses where they avoid their few family members all day’ , i was at not rich peoples family diners and hangouts etc , it’s strangely epic fun , until they get money , and even though they have the greatest things , they lose those by that panic ‘money money money’ , than they become poor life rich people (when they get money they get a certain lifestyle , a little arrogance or pride , and expensive things , than for all the people that visited them , it becomes a little difficult to visit them , the still poor people think now they’re better and stand back , and they lose the fun they had with social life , visits hanging out , most importantly satisfying conversations that cannot be performed with the by then rich who tell you they’re better by ignoring your talk , not engaging in conversation , holding themselves high)
One of my favorite exchanges. They had to destroy an entire forest to catch one man. Bruce was never willing to sacrifice Gotham, but the Joker tested that to the absolute limit. If we had gotten him in the third installment that would have been such an epic finale.
This movie nearly pushed Bruce to become a vigilante. He even tells Rachel “I see what I will have to become to stop men like [Joker].” And Maroni tells Bruce no one will tell him anything because he is ultimately a hero. So Bruce has to ask himself “How much damage do I have to do to catch one man?”
The Dark Knight - One of the greatest of all time films. The acting, the realism from the comics, Batman and Joker acting was phenomenal. Such a shame that Heath Ledger died, man. I can tell that he enjoyed playing this villain. May he rest in peace.
You are absolutely right. Anyone who says this role killed him, doesnt know the true essence of his acting. That it’s “believable” to spark a rumor that this role influenced his passing. He very very very much enjoyed the role as he said himself in the interviews about it. I think he even said it was the most fun he would EVER have in a role. I wish I could thank him myself for providing us with his artwork

Nobody talking about Rachel’s letter. How they executed the idea of that letter and Bruce never reading it was perfect. Wayne not ever reading it, being lied about it, and being a better person because of it is incredibly similar to what he did himself at the end of the film even though he didn’t know it was happening to him, in taking Dent’s fall. So many cool things to think about with this movie. No other superhero movie has come anywhere close to the level of depth in this movie. Christopher Nolan is incredible
The coin metaphor is so damn good, the scorched side resembling the burnt, dark half of him and the clean side resembling the light in him, i know everyone knows this, but it's such a fantastic metaphor
And the way he acts every single time he flips the coin and it lands on black, he's gone so deep in that ke prefers darkness over light after what the joker did

3:19 The single note of music going deeper and louder shows Harvey's agonizing pain and descent to madness. And it made more sense to Daenerys and arguably Anakin Skywalker. And it only took one bad day and less than 20 minutes of screentime.
@@aurelien5747 yep.. anakin always had thay rage brewing and had experience murdering women in children before he did the younglinga. Daenerys was just hungry and needed a snicker bar.
yeah ikr, it's so sad... Harvey didn't mind being the one perishing instead of Rachel, but he was totally crushed when he saw Batman break down the door (Batman himself was just as shocked that Joker switched the addresses, playing on Batman's weakness when he dived out to save Rachel in an earlier encounter). It didn't help that he fell on a puddle of gasoline which spilled out from an oil drum he accidentally toppled over. As he was taken to hospital, Harvey was still holding on to the hope that Rachel would survive, even when he was still in agonizing pain. The moment he saw one side of his lucky coin scorched and scratched, that gave him the painful answer as to what happened to Rachel. And that's where he lost his sanity, and he was better off dead, now that the love of his life had been tragically taken away from him. A loss that he finds it hard to accept, a loss that compels him to go down a dark path and decide the fates of others with the flip of his coin. The tragedy of Harvey in this film is IMO like a literature masterpiece, similar to Macbeth or Hamlet.
@@aurelien5747 yeah Anakin's torment beginning with the death of his mother and subsequent massacre of the Tusken Raider camp. The next 3 years spent hiding his marital status from the Jedi Order, and wrestling with his inner demons (eg frustrations with the Jedi Code). Until Palpatine revealed his true identity to him and gave him an offer he can't refuse... that's when Anakin made the choice to become Sidious' apprentice and betray the Jedi. And with his turn, he also began to lose his humanity and logic.
What i loved about this scene is for at least half of it, there is no sound effects at all apart from the music being played very quietly in the background which almost sounds like a cold wind blowing and gets louder towards the end, it really adds to the mood of how much destruction The Joker has caused and how much pain its left in the aftermath for everyone involved. The sight of Batman standing on top of the rubble when you hear Rachel's voice really makes this an emotional moment and speaks so much volumes, it really adds to the sadness and shows you that a hero can't save everyone.
Err no. Its a metaphore of doing what is necessary eventhough theyre breaking the laws. Exactly what Batman does after this when he put the whole gotham under surveillance illegaly.
"Gotham needs its true hero and I let that murdering psychopath blow him half to hell." - the pain in that delivery is palpable. People always praise Heath Ledger and Gary Oldman and rightly so, but I think Christian Bale was awesome as Bruce Wayne too, maybe even underrated.
I just adore and love Alfred's little inclusion of the line "What WE stand for". He's always the one to tell Bruce that whatever occurs, he's not alone. I can't get enough of sorta thing, it's so simple but says so much.
I remember watching this movie in theaters, after it was over I went and got another ticket for the next showing and waited in line to watch it again for the second time.
0:29-0:37 that moment is incredible, no dialogue, no sound it's just The Joker being The Joker. Plus that shot of Batman at 0:49 is too iconic Heath nailed being The Joker even though people thought he wouldn't fit the role and today people still consider him the best Joker. Beautiful cinematography on Nolan and his team's part
Jokers not driving the car from the back seat he’s just chilling in the back seat sticking his head out the window lmao. U can see there’s a driver that’s taking them, that would be impossible to drive a car from the back seat how u supposed to push the pedals 😂😂
This movie is a timeless classic. No matter how much I scour the Comic Book movie genre, no movie will top this Masterpiece. I could go on and on for 10s of paragraphs and I won't be able to capture the sheer BRILLIANCE of this movie. The symbolism, the moral conflict, the acting and the writing are unparalleled.
The scene with Harvey and the coin is heartbreaking. He sees the coin laying shiny side up on the table, and just for a moment, he had a glimpse of hope that his love was alive. In his mind, he was surprised and very relieved, thinking he was going to see her again. And then he turns it over and sees its black, charred surface, and is met with the tragedy that she is in fact dead. The shot of him breaking down and screaming and violently thrashing marks the point his mind is lost, and his eventual fate was sealed. He had snapped, and who could honestly blame the poor man?
Batman Standing On Top Of The Rubble, Head Bowed Down, While Firefighters Trying To Extinguish The Fire In The Background Maybe The Greatest Shot In Superhero Cinema History IMO. Wally Pfister Is The Most Underrated Part of This Masterpiece.
I just realized, the scene where Alfred goes to see Bruce is a mirror of the scene in Batman Begins, where Alfred goes to see Bruce after his parents funeral. Both times, Alfred asks Bruce about supper, doesn’t get a response and is about to leave when Bruce calls for him and asks if he’s to be blame for the death of his loved ones. Just captures their relationship so perfectly.
I feel truly blessed that I got to see this piece of art in the cinema back in 2008 I was only 14. One of the best movies ever created nothing compares to the feeling of watching this for the very first time especially in a crowded theater. I feel bad for the generation that missed out lol
Tanat Pruett This sequence is very moving for me. He couldn’t protect Rachel, his career is effectively over, Joker is using him. A lot of pain and brutality to his birth.
3:05 the editing here as it cuts away to Harvey in the hospital as explain Alfred what he did to catch the bandit, and Ben best intentions comes with casualites
The shot of Joker leaning out of the police car window, wet hair, makeup mostly gone, as day is just starting to break, makes me feel so many different things.
No the scene where joker delivers the line "I'm a dog chasing cars" was when Harvey Dent was in the hospital and when he sticks his head out of the police car Dent was in his way towards the hospital with half of his face burned down ....... So the Epic line was delivered later by Ledger and then he blows up the Gotham general hospital
The truth is, The Joker knew enough about who was under the mask to realise neither Dent or Batman were holding the city together. It was Rachel, both men so intimately connected to her. Whether he broke Dent or Batman, either could've fallen. Dent was just easier to manipulate, especially since he wasn't who he portrayed himself as. The Joker seeks to expose the real identities of people, not their names but their souls. That's the joke. It doesn't matter who you say you are or can be, you'll always be somebody else underneath. For all intents and purposes, this is the climax to the Dark Knight Trilogy. Batman couldn't leave behind Bruce Wayne and that became his greatest weakness. So what does he do? Hide.
This sequence and its emphasis on consequences from trying to do the right thing and characters trying to deal with failure are a major reason why this movie is a masterpiece. Logan and Joker, two other masterpieces of the comic book genre, also emphasized consequences and failure and will stand the test of time as well.
Every time a clip from The Dark Knight shows up in my feed I have to watch. I distinctly remember watching this in theaters when it came out and leaving the theater feeling overwhelmed. I remember thinking to myself: “the movie I just watched was a MASSIVE social commentary”, and I thought that what I had just witnessed was going to be cemented in film history as one of the greatest of all time. Turns out my gut feeling was right.
The scene of the Joker putting his head out the window just shows he literally just wanted to watch the world burn and noting else. He just wanted to cause anarchy and chaos and show that no no person was incorruptible.
For me this clip is the best part of the film, i mean, all the symbolism, the editing, the sound, everything in this scene is great... The cut for Joker in the police car, for "we burns the forrest down" and a quick cut for Harvey screaming with no sound of scream but the frequency growing... Perfect, underrated part of the film.

Amen.
Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

First time upon viewing this shot of the joker 🃏 I was hit with a major realization that this film is something else. Something more...a modern classic.
Is he driving or it's a passenger?
Revolver Ocelot I’m pretty sure Lao is the one who’s driving he’s in the back seat.
@Emir
Lau is driving, while joker is in the back seat.
Anyezka looool as if Lao is swerving it up in the road that’s gotta be one of the jokers goons driving Laos prob in the boot or something
@Max Westland good point actually. Never thought of that.
0:50 thats one the most iconic scene out there
this film is literally art
The scene with Batman standing amidst the destruction while his cape flutters is iconic.
Did you catch him ?
Yes.
How?
We burned the forest down...
Plot twist: it was Alfred that wanted to watch the whole world burn.
I wish I could thank him myself for providing us with his artwork
omg Rachael she was Gonna Wait for him , Cane's Acting was Superb ; Oh Lovely Rachael , what a Beautiful sweet girl and voice , as Joker Said he Once had a wife as Beautiful as her
3:39 the amount of sadness and anger that flows through Harvey gives me goosebumps every time. Underrated actor imo.

Avengers

Saw 2 did it too.
Nah. Villains who let themselves get caught as part of their plans has always been a thing in fiction.

0:28 Epic and iconic scene indeed!!!.
The coin metaphor is so damn good, the scorched side resembling the burnt, dark half of him and the clean side resembling the light in him, i know everyone knows this, but it's such a fantastic metaphor
It is also meant to represent him and Rachel
And the way he acts every single time he flips the coin and it lands on black, he's gone so deep in that ke prefers darkness over light after what the joker did
No he’s at first happy to see the coin because he gave it to Rachel and when he sees that it’s clean he thinks she survived

I love how they silenced this scene without taking away the intensity of harvey’s pain.
“You can’t hear images.”
"But you can feel them more deeply."
Its a similar Sound to the Joker. I think the Sound with Harvey symbolizes Harvey turning insane.
3:19 The single note of music going deeper and louder shows Harvey's agonizing pain and descent to madness. And it made more sense to Daenerys and arguably Anakin Skywalker. And it only took one bad day and less than 20 minutes of screentime.
I know! All that had to happen was for the love of his life to be killed.
Daenerys was completely random and Anakin Skywalker was ok I guess.
I agree about Danaerys but Anakin had a huge buildup to his turn to the dark side
This scene is so insanely emotional
What i loved about this scene is for at least half of it, there is no sound effects at all apart from the music being played very quietly in the background which almost sounds like a cold wind blowing and gets louder towards the end, it really adds to the mood of how much destruction The Joker has caused and how much pain its left in the aftermath for everyone involved. The sight of Batman standing on top of the rubble when you hear Rachel's voice really makes this an emotional moment and speaks so much volumes, it really adds to the sadness and shows you that a hero can't save everyone.
“We burned the forest down.” *Cuts to Harveys burnt face*
I see what ya did their Nolan

Err no. Its a metaphore of doing what is necessary eventhough theyre breaking the laws. Exactly what Batman does after this when he put the whole gotham under surveillance illegaly.

1:46 this scene is a called back to 'batman begins' when Bruce thought it was his fault for the killing of his parents
Anyone else just LOVE that shot of Joker hanging out of the cop car?
I just adore and love Alfred's little inclusion of the line "What WE stand for". He's always the one to tell Bruce that whatever occurs, he's not alone. I can't get enough of sorta thing, it's so simple but says so much.
Nolan has a way of making everything in his movies so beautifully done. The quality and the way they are shot are breathtaking.
And now it's nicely preserved in the national film registry in Congress along with other culturally significant films.
I remember watching this movie in theaters, after it was over I went and got another ticket for the next showing and waited in line to watch it again for the second time.
0:29-0:37 that moment is incredible, no dialogue, no sound it's just The Joker being The Joker. Plus that shot of Batman at 0:49 is too iconic
Heath nailed being The Joker even though people thought he wouldn't fit the role and today people still consider him the best Joker. Beautiful cinematography on Nolan and his team's part

The ultimate high. Joker's achieved peak freedom.
The way camera pans to Joker when he is out of the car window representing himself truly as the agent of chaos, fireworks just absolute fireworks.
Poor Harvey got Killing-joked and now he fell to the endless pit of madness.
His psychological pain (his inability to accept Rachel's death) is so much worse than his physical pain (his half-burnt face)
Tanat Pruett This sequence is very moving for me. He couldn’t protect Rachel, his career is effectively over, Joker is using him. A lot of pain and brutality to his birth.

I love the dog chasing cars line, and then later we see him hanging his head out the car like a dog too. This movie had great writing.
Also with Dent referring to the Joker as “A mad dog” to Maroni later in the movie.
@@ironhide5611 not mad dog he addressed joker as a human dog
No the scene where joker delivers the line "I'm a dog chasing cars" was when Harvey Dent was in the hospital and when he sticks his head out of the police car Dent was in his way towards the hospital with half of his face burned down ....... So the Epic line was delivered later by Ledger and then he blows up the Gotham general hospital
To see Bruce like this broke my heart!!
Hide.
Joker struck gold with Rachel. The moment he found out that both Batman and Dent loved her, she was marked for death
Joker at Dinner party: 'You know, I'll settle for his loved ones.'
Doesn't the Joker win in this one, turning Harvey Dent. All he needed was a little push.

This sequence and its emphasis on consequences from trying to do the right thing and characters trying to deal with failure are a major reason why this movie is a masterpiece. Logan and Joker, two other masterpieces of the comic book genre, also emphasized consequences and failure and will stand the test of time as well.
This Trilogy is seriously the absolute pinnacle of all Super Hero movies. Shit, this is the pinnacle of filmmaking in general.
I just love these joker... he's just like the real joker in the cartoon
