I thought the exact same thing. The second season came out while I was in basic training in Ft. Benning, GA. However, when I got home, I watched the entire season, and i loved it. I couldn't have fathomed that this algorithm for comedy would take off. Needless to say, I was impressed times a thousand.
Edit: I still vividly remember the commerical, before the second season aired. It went, random cast members saying, "We're going back to philly, to philly, to philly. We're going back to philly." And then I saw Danny Devito say, "I don't think so." Once I saw Danny, I was all in.

I love scenes when Rob is fighting not to break and that's my perfect moment.

when i was a teenager, i'd pop my shoulder out, and i could whip it over the back of my head. it would go so far i could wrap my right arm around the back of my head and grab the top of my right ear. so one night i'm at a skate park after hours, and a cop pulls up. so to avoid trouble, i laid on the bottom of a ramp with my leg twisted behind my back, and my arm in the most horrific position i could reach. my thought was he's not going to ticket a dead kid. he pulls up, shines a light on me, (there is no doubt he saw me) then turned around and left. i won dead guy

Loved the first season way more than even the creators and actors apparently ..lol...Danny Devito coming on 2nd season was pretty huge, but if we are all honest, The Show helped Danny maintain star levity as much as he raised the show..Great fit all around. And so glad in later podcast episodes, Megan gets a mic cause I love her laugh and input.

One time when we were young, there was a decent size tree that fell onto a walking path on a busy street. We took turns laying underneath it pretending it fell on us and we were trapped, with the other boys unable to lift it. The looks we got from people passing was what made it funny.
