Thank you for the video. I used it to replace my pump, which in Manhattan is a 700$ repair. So just 200$ for the pump and a bit of work was a no brainer.

Super helpful! My circulation pump impeller came apart and the dishwasher would not wash. It would fill and pump out, the capacitor would get warm and there was a very quiet hum, but not much else happened. The circulation pump would turn in one direction but then would lock up after a couple of turns in the opposite direction. New impeller and seal kit and away it went! It was installed in 2002 and this is its first hiccup. Not bad for a family that runs the dishwasher 3-4 times a week! Way to go Bosch! Thank you for the great video.

Thanks for sharing. This helped me fix my Bosch dishwasher (11 years old so I know I am pushing my luck).

I just replaced the pump in my Bosch dishwasher using this video. It is great! The instructions were simple and straightforward; I didn't have but one problem. The door pulleys were troublesome because I pulled the frame to far and they came out of their mounts. Otherwise, this was a few hours on a Saturday to save a bunch of bucks. My advise is have lots of towels, sponges and buckets ready because there is water that comes out of the washer from every place possible.

Great instructions. We had an extra part surface and replayed the video and found it to be vibration suppression for the circulation pump assembly. Thanks, saved me hours of disassembly time!

Awesome video. Very well created and I was able to follow it step for step. Thanks for not just saying reverse the process to reassemble! Once again I was able to continue to keep the Bosch dishwasher running. I highly recommend repairing versus replacing.

I do appreciate the video. My dishwasher is a Kenmore Elite 630.16309404. From the symptoms, I was pretty sure the circulation pump had gone bad. The system would add water and heat it, but there was no circulation of the water whatsoever. Apparently the Kenmore is somewhat different. It has a metal sleeve on each side that most be removed before you can disconnect the pulley's on each side. I could not find a video that shows that, but I figured it out. You have to remove two screws on each side at the front of the washer to be able to remove those sleeves. Almost everything else is the same with the exception of no clamp on one end of the pump itself.

Thanks for the video. There were a few more details on the SHU6805UC but the video was an excellent start. I replaced the circulation pump/motor and so far so good.

this pump is almost half cost of a new unit. I resigned to throw my unit away, and then I decided to try and see if the pump was salvageable. low and behold, I see that the pump impeller has wear parts on it that decoupled it from the motor rotor. some gorilla glue and few swears and it was back together. worked like charm. this pump is a good example of a well engineered failure mode.

Thank you so much for the fine instructions! Without your video I would never had been able to change the sump of my Bosch dishwasher which just had gone out of guarantee.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed, there is normal pressure going in (same pressure as before when it did work, really).
