Tommy Shannon (bass), Reese Wynans (keys), John Mayer
(guitar/vocals), Gary Clark, Jr. (guitar/vocals), Doyle Bramhall II
(guitar/vocals)
Look at the guy on the keyboard when John was on the high part in his solo, he stood up and gestured to the guy on the drums on how impressed they are at John
@___ ___ Not true. Mayer was channeling some true Stevie. Mayer has his ups and downs but he is a badass player. Way better than anyone else on that stage.
Excellent job By John Mayer
He's a hack.
2:00 my boy john is kicking some ass !
Aleksandar Stojkovski You are right... I had heard of him but I did not he could play like THAT!!
SRV finally gets his due from Cleveland...! Fly on Little Wing...fly on.
Doyle's voice!
Yep he can play and sing. He's just not as well known.
@@coffeewaldo and his 1st album is great too. He wrote wonderful songs
He should have sung the entire song. Superior vocalist and very talented guitarist!!
Great job by John Mayer and Gary Clark, its good to see we still new have guitarists who got soul when playing, dont know why people give John Mayer so much crap, hes really good and has SOUL which is something rare to find nowadays, he has played alongside the best(B.B., Buddy, and others) and no doubt he learned from them. Rock on Stevie!
SRV last show was awesome I was there............RIP SRV
It's about time for Dallas to realize just how much talent was born right there and had to leave in order to "make it". (IMO)
makes me even more sad...miss Stevie even more listening to them..play fast saying absolutely nothing..sad.
does not get even close to the late great .... sorry
ROY NADAV it was not supposed to. It is a tribute. I thought it as great!
ROY NADAV Yes this John Mayer is a joke Let SRV Rest in peace!
Jimmie might have fallen further than any guitar hero ever has. he is unlistenable. The others are just crap, as Jeff Beck said.
Either Kevin Schwantz or Doug Polen should have been jammed here...
God, I could listen to this performance of Texas Flood all day.
Hendrix 'unleashed' the Strat, SRV 'tamed' the Strat!
So much awesome on that stage. JLV playing the blues he and his brother loved, with Stevie's band. Add to that the next generation of bluesmen in JM (SRV Superfan endorsed by Double Trouble), DB 2 (the son of SRV's best friend and songwriting pal), and Gary Clark Jr (texas blues for the digital age). Too bad for us fans that Heaven called SRV home so early.
Let's get Stevie Ray Vaughans in Bright Lights on Billboards and such..If not for Stevie Ray Vaughan there wouldn't be no Flood in Texas..r u with me? Stevie Ray Vaughan will always be the Best of blue's and Rock ..Double Trouble got the groove and rhythem..No Stevie ..no Texas Flood and no Double Trouble..Stevie is sensational..Had it all at the last days and the helicopter took it away..and Stevie..but..his memory and success lives on and on..RIP Stevie..you are loved by all your fans ..
PHENOMENAL..isn't that what you call this and happy 4th of July in 2021..all in the name of Stevie Ray Vaughan the music legend ..these musicians are sensational and the rhythem and melody is incredibly great..thank you

I enjoyed all of them especially when each one played.Wish Doyle sang like that all the time!! Gary puts his all in everything he does and really gets down.GREAT TRIBUTE
FINALLY STEVIE FINALLY! YES!
This is Magnificient..thank you all..for Stevie Ray Vaughan..explicit
Whooooaaaaaaaoooo
Why are they using the wrong pickup setting on a strat and playing it in G not F#?
Thank you!
I dedicate this song to srv every time i play it , and to be honest I play it better , were the hell is Philip sayce
All the other six artists on the stage are in awe of John Mayer's guitar work during his solo :D :)
John Nayer...
Stevie Ray Vaughan would be so Proud..
Bramhall is just amazing! That gave me chills!!!
lol, couldn't even see GCJ at first
is that charlie sexton?
fantastic performance!
this song is good whether stevie or jimmie does it. & damn fine when they both did it!
Ummmm,, not even fucking close....not at any level....I saw a better player than Jimmy at a jazz club two days ago...and no one in attendance knows his name, so .....please, evolve. BTW, the good shit wasn't played by that hack Jimmy.
Fart Knocker ..... so, I'm just guessing here that you didn't care for this performance......
I am most glad that SRV/Double Trouble was selected for the Hall of Fame, after 25 years. To be brutally honest, though, they should have picked a different group of players for this song. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is practically a clone of Stevie andwould have added a visceral component sorely needed here. Jimmy's singing and playing is a little weak, perhaps better suited to other songs. John Mayer is great but falls short here, as do Keb and Doyle Bramhall. Doyle is a competent rhythm player, has a good head of hair, but his lead solos lack smack.
It was a great speech. John Mayer's solo was a great effort to eulogize one of his heroes. To say "no one could have gave a better speech than Mayer" is, of course, impossible to say. To be sure, Jimmy dialed down the excitement level with his distinctly non-SRV style of playing and old man vocals.
I'm sorry, but John Mayer had no business being up there... Kenny Wayne Sheppard... Now that's a different story. No disrespect to those that enjoy John Mayer, but Kenny would've been the right choice
Hey, you're allowed to feel that way. I'm just stating an opinion. Mayer is a tremendous player, but they could've put Bonamassa up there, who I really like, but I would've said the same thing about him. It's a Texas blues thing I guess.
Josh Schmoyer Im just wondering why Gary Clark is up there?? his guitar playing is not even close to the others..
sondre høgheim Gary Clark Jr is the next big Texas Blues star. It would seem fitting to have a young Texas bluesman with growing popularity onstage with Texas legend JLV and Double Trouble.
Josh Schmoyer I held my thumb over john mayer the entire video
Josh Schmoyer to cover him up he did not belong on that stage
Jimmie Vaughan is one of my favourites that guitar tone and the way he sings, truely unique and gifted in his own way from what his brother did.
Doyle is my favourite guitar player! And the Albert King breakdown in this version of texas flood is fantastic! Stevie would have loved it.
