that is very clever well done .I hate hate hate driving a t6 with the bulkhead in place.I am driving new transit now and had to remove bulkhead from that as nearly as cramped as transporter.Maybe next is 2024 transit bulkhead extender ?
I like that - simple but effective! Could you make one to shift the top half of the bulkhead further back, to create a “step” behind the seats for storage, without eating floor area in the back of the van? Might be useful for extra cab space when carrying bikes or dirty stuff in the back?
@@stephengrimes257 yeah i now have it back 10 cm’s and the seat can be put all the way back. It isnt pretty but no bulkhead isnt a option with my work.
@@THQAutomotive The T6.1 has no flat surface or cup holders that are of any use, the centre of the dash could do with a lid or cover that is flat & level so you can rest a china Mug on it. Or even a small flat area that clips on to the useless cubby hole by the 2 usb ports, The T5 cup holders were useless but the pull out ash tray would take a china mug on top .

What a simple but brilliant idea, yet more money I can spend at THQ , well done guys ..

Brilliant idea, 👍
Crazy it's taken this long to come up with. They've been short of space for 21 years!!

I guess so 🤔
The D ring load lashing looks to be obscured so best flip the ring backwards before fitting or it will be unusable 👍
@@iam_anderdingus great point.
Great idea gents 👏

Great idea but can you fit an 8x4 sheet straight down the middle (not layed down) in the back once the extenders are fitted?
@@dannykay7294 I don't know sorry. Measure up and remove 40mm. That's how room this takes from the load area.
Transit HQ coming soon ❤
@@greggbutler9344 THQ now so covers Transits too 🥰
I have done it myself but sadly the 40mm wasnt enough, ive put the board back 10cm and finally can sit comfortable, btw im 6,5-1,97
Oh ok, thats interesting to read. We've tried this with someone 6,2 and it was great. Leg length is the major factory I guess.
I’m the same height and was thinking 40mm wouldn’t be enough. My first job with any new van is remove the bulkhead.

Can you design a flat surface for a 6,1 for making a brew?
We can design anything. I'm not sure what you mean though. Give me a little more detail 😊

i presume you are limited to 40mm due to the lashing points? im sure a few would give them up for a wider version, as 40mm isnt much tbjh.
@@AlanMacdougall-c2w it's surprising how much difference 40mm makes. On this van we didn't use it all. There is still room to move further back.
You could always cut a hole where the bulkhead covers the lashing points.
