The Spaceview didn't come first in The Bulova 'tuning fork' catalogue. They were designed to be sample pieces, displaying the movement. People preferred them to the standard models so Bulova started producing them.

Thanks Dude! We owe you a beer! Got my first Accutron in 1962 but lost it during my Vietnam tour. Recently obtained, via eBay, a 1967 spaceview in excellent condition.
