bought a used T8 for a steal, upgraded the rear shock and will add a couple volume spacers to the front shock. I'm a bigger guy at 6'2'' 205lbs. It's been a blast riding this bike and I don't feel like I'm outriding it after 2-3 months of every other day riding. Take those tubes out!
The T8 rips. Putting on SLX brakes with 200 discs and an SLX chain took it from great to outstanding, for me at least. (I knew I'd be doing this before purchase, so no surprise expense.) The only reason I can see for people spending twice the money for the same or lower specs is "I have the money and I like the colour better". The NZ retailer - NOT Bikes Online - offers consistently poor service, so take it to an actual bike shop if you need anything.
My polygon t8 is having a lot of shifting problems and my fork blew up aswell so I don’t really know what to do but the bike as been pretty good apart from that
Sounds like it may be time to visit your local bike shop so they can have a look for you! Poor shifting can be the result of many different little problems. Same can be said for issues with your Fox fork!
Been thinking about buying this bike for about a year now. How hard is it to set up out the box? I know nothing about MTB's and I'm afraid that I might goof it up. 😅
I really am between Sm and Med 5’5” 29” inseam, 22” arm length I had a Giant Stance in Sm, perfect size so I was thinking the Sm here. I just don’t want to be cramped, I unfortunately can’t find the head tube length for my old Giant. How tall is she (rider)? Should I just go with Sm and shut up already?
I don't understand why so many reviewers say this bike is heavy. Looking at other manufacturers, 35 lbs is about average for a stock off the shelf full sus trail bike. Fuel EX 7 is 35 lbs, a top fuel 5 downcountry is 33.71 lbs, & canyon spectral 125 AL is 34.75 lbs. What gives with the weight bias?
Which T8 bike would be a better fit for my lady at 5'6", which is the line between Small and Medium frame sizes? It's tough to know because these aren't available in any stores nearby to test fit.
Going to depend on size! I had one for a bit (Size L) that I was running a 200mm dropper post on. So it can handle some decent sized droppers across the range.
It would be best to use our sizing calculator on the website - it will take into account a few factors and not just height to make a more precise decision for you.
We would say they're still perfectly modern and normal sized. They're considered the smaller of the 2 most popular sizes for obvious reasons, but they're not small!
@@alexBoblee I also think that is good for everything is really in the middle... the two things I changed to make it more comfortable were the handlebars for others with more rise and backsweep, and the seat because the stock one is quite like a rock 😆
Sorry but I can't get a small frame in 29in with geometry that favors my size, if I'm getting a full sus it's going to be with 29 tires and reach that accomodates that.
Those are two completely different bikes. The T8 is in a completely different league to really be a fair comparison. It would be more suitable to compare the T8 with a Stumpjumper alloy.
@@bikesonline Stumpjumper is what I meant to say. I realized that right after I signed off youtube. Since you realized that already, do you have an answer to the question?

@@bikesonline Both my wife and I are in the market for new bikes. We’re limited to time due to the nature of our business and lifestyle. If soon isn’t this week, I’ll be getting a Canyon Spectral.
Just ordered the T9. Should be here Monday. Can't wait!! Thanks for the help Juan.
Juan is the best! Congrats on your bike!

Because they don’t price gouge insanely
We sure don't!
Getting mine today. Wishing i could get the silver on black in UK but oh well, I'll live.
Enjoy! You'll love it!
The purple look so cool
It's such a good color!

Congrats! You'll love your new bike!
You’re lucky .I can’t buy it
Nice 👌
What's the head tube angle on a large frame ?
Thanks! It's a 65.5 degree head angle across all sizes.
Hi, the shifter cable hanging under the bottom bracket creates any issues? It should be more secure in my opinion.
Not problems at all! Appreciate your concern.
pls review next trek ex 5
Great idea! We will see what we can do!
Been thinking about buying this bike for about a year now. How hard is it to set up out the box? I know nothing about MTB's and I'm afraid that I might goof it up. 😅
It’s not too bad at all! We have some content on it. It arrives about 80% built.
What's the maximum travel on a medium frame with 27.5 wheels on the t8/t7?
Since it comes with a 150 from the factory, we don't advise any more than 160 up front. Cheers!

You would probably be comfortable on the small, but have you tried our sizing calculator on the website? It may help you decide.
Has the frame been updated to address some of the cracking issues that I'm seeing online?
A new frame gusset design was launched for 2023 and up models.
@@bikesonline but you guys are still sending bikes with the old gusset design, cause I got one that way and a lot of ppl on the forum.

Which T8 bike would be a better fit for my lady at 5'6", which is the line between Small and Medium frame sizes?
It's tough to know because these aren't available in any stores nearby to test fit.
We would suggest really looking at her inseam. If she has shorter legs, the small would probably serve her better and visa-versa!
@@bikesonline Thanks. I enjoy looking at her inseam.
Giggity.
what is the biggest dropper you can fit on it?
Going to depend on size! I had one for a bit (Size L) that I was running a 200mm dropper post on. So it can handle some decent sized droppers across the range.
T8 or t9? Cant decide. I ride once a week from green to double black trails
If you can justify the extra spend, there's definitely a ton of value in that T9! However, the T8 can probably still address your needs just fine.
Hi , i am 166cm, should I get smaller in S or bigger in M size?
It would be best to use our sizing calculator on the website - it will take into account a few factors and not just height to make a more precise decision for you.
£2100 UK pounds for full fox suspension and Slx.
For comparison
That spec on a privateer 141 aluminum is £4000
Yes exactly. Maximum value!
how wide are the tires?
The bike comes equipped with 2.6 wide tires!
When did 27.5 become small wheels?
We would say they're still perfectly modern and normal sized. They're considered the smaller of the 2 most popular sizes for obvious reasons, but they're not small!
The Siskiu T bikes have the same functionality, is my guess correct?
Not sure what you're asking...You mean in terms of T7 vs T8?
Could this bike be used for xc for example?
It definitely could be used for XC purposes, but our Siskiu D series with its shorter wheelbase would likely be better suited for the job!
@@bikesonline thanks. But if I wanted to do a little of everything? Would t8 be better?
@@alexBobleeHey, I have the T8 since some weeks, for XC I would recommend to pump up the Tires and maybe put spacers on the suspension.

All Shimano 12 speeds have 10-51 range🤔…
That’s not a question that’s a fact.
Actually, Shimano does offer their 12 speed cassettes in a 10-45t variant!
This bike doesn't come with Shimano cassette. It's a frankendrive train KMC and Sunrace
They really need to stop advertising this with a SLX groupset. Shifter and derailleur only
and Deore cranks. All the review bikes have full SLX groupsets, what turns up after you buy it isn't SLX.
