  • Something I noticed after uploading this video is that the car drives a lot smoother now, apparently, I had no idea how much vibration that old fan was making even at low fan speeds. Also, the issue of the AC circulation button switching off randomly when driving is gone after replacing the fan.

    Aaaand now you get to take it all apart again ... ah the memories of leaving 1 thing unplugged and not realizing until you're totally done!

    I might need to change mine as well, because it shorting somewhere, after couple minutes of running and just switching off and not turning on.
    Only works when car ignition off for a while and starting car again.

    Great vid on replacing blower motor. Question, where is the blower motor resistor located (regulator), is also under the passenger footwell? Is there a vid on replacing that one?

      thx, sorry I didnt look into the blower motor resistor for this car before but its usually close to the blower motor on other cars.

      @@MB212 The store I went to had an OE one for I think 740$, but they also had the one made by BEHR which I got for 185$. From looking at the old blower it looks like Mercedes OE blowers come from BEHR.

      OEM box it’s expensive to made 😂 Look online found BHER for same price but may go with cheaper one it’s say it’s made from BHER and only cost 90€

    Remind makes a cricket likes noise on the low setting.
    I was wondering if anyone has ever just sprayed some silicone on it🤷‍♂️

      That could work, but I would assume the baring inside the motor is worn and would need to be replaced. And if I'm replacing the baring I would also replace the motor brushes. At this point, I just rather have a new motor that would save me time and give me care free use for the next 5 years.

    Is the part the same for all w212?

    • @ZakiGarage
      @ZakiGarage  8 місяців тому

      Better if you can find one of those parts diagrams online that check the part numbers by vin. Or check with mb part stores

      @@radekm1683 Worth a try greasing it, let me know how it goes 👍. But you might be able to find it cheaper part than me online, I got it from a local MB supplier that is usually more expensive than online stores.
