My 2013 w212 (facelift) has 322000 km, i didn't need to replace this yet, but it's good to know, keep rolling out this cool videos, they are very helpful, great work!!!
Next time dont buy a new motor, but simply lubricate motor shaft by the bushing with 2-3drops of clean motor oil and it will run forever without any noises.. That is the Mercedes dealer procedure, as replacement has to be done only when blower motor stopped working completely.
I've been using you awesome video to pull my blower out and oil it. I'm having trouble getting the same factory blower back in that I just took out. So I'm rewatching your video for the reinstall. It looks to me like maybe you didn't get the blower motor fully locked in. The part you are using to push on with your thumb doesn't look fully lined up. That's the air exhaust for the blower which could be why your blower was noisier because it couldn't full exhaust the air, or because the opening was partially blocked. I've had a ton of trouble with that yellow wire getting in the way and yours looks like it may be pinched in there. Thanks again for your video. Heading back out to try again. Maybe the 50th time will be the charm😊...
I'm in the USA. I enjoy your videos, thank you for making them. Yes, that Nissens blower was awful. I removed the blower in a thirty-five-year-old American Buick to clean the A/C Evaporator. While I had it out, I lubed the blower motor with Electric-Motor Oil. It was OK before, but the oil made it spin faster and it was quieter too.
Nice video. Please can you make a video of s212 undercarriage of the car. E220cdi Does this have one pipe at the front from the engine where it then splits into the back via two exhaust output pipes?
Really, REALLY good info on all videos. My only gripe - if you can get torque settings and post those too when you are doing jobs, would be icing on cake.
Unfortunately I bought a Mahle Behr Blower Motor from Autohauz to replace the squeaky original fan. The fan was pressed on so tight that it would not rotate when power was applied. It cost me $139.95 but I had to pay return shipping and was out $18.45 and no replacement. I thought about attempting to loosen up the new fan but opted not to. I was very disappointed with the manufacturer's quality control to let this be shipped. I will lubricate the old one to see it the squeal goes away. If someone bought a new one please let me know which one you got.
i have 2011 c250 CGI W204 , i remove all the socket . Pull the tab down as 4:23 and turn Counter clockwise as this is RH Steering car. and the motor wont renoved , any clue ? i try almost 3 hiurs wiggle the motor but its so hard to remove
I haad the same issue on my 2016 s212, noisy blower, took out mine, it was NRF brand replaced already 3yrs ago and started to be noisy after 3 yrs of good service. I replaced it with the same Nissen as you but had to return it the noise was terrible. So bought even cheaper NRF again and it's silky smooth again. Recomending NRF brand for blowers even it's cheaper than Nissen.
I think his fan was making the infamous "chirp" noise when running the fan with heat on cold days. The noise starts out intermittent and becomes more frequent. Almost sounds like a cricket, but softer. Allledgedly caused by the grease drying up in the fan motor.
mine stop working today and it is -7 right now, I did unplug the electrical cable and tried to clean it up and plug it back. it is working for now but I do not for how long.
2:57 - i thought you forgot to push on the hook in the back of the cover :) . in some cars that hook is usually broken :) main finger up and then push to the left
Yess but I thought it was quite interesting is was broken and not replaced because pretty sure the previous owner never did any maintenance at home because it was on lease and service record state is has only been to Mercedes dealer. But never know, but I don’t like to leave the car away for this things happen a lot!
@@MB212 Yes, I would probably go for nissens too, but before replacement I surely would try lubricate old one, have you try to do it when tested with that auxilliary battery? Oh yes you surely did, because you are sending nissens back to seller. And now when you refitted, and lubricated old one, does it makes any less squeeky chirping sound?
Yess is actually works good now and not have any bad sound after some lubricants, but anyway sound mainly coming in the cold days. But probably could use this for long time again but I somehow feel parts like this is nice to change for new so I don’t have to bother about it again. Because this is kinda important for me when shooting video to have a quiet blower ☺️
Hi, I have a 2012 e350 can I ask why my AC button doesn’t turn off when I press it and the recycle button doesn’t seem to make a difference when I press it, it seem like it’s on recycle all the time because I can’t smell the bad air outside when I press it off. Thank you.
Hi, I remember from an old video, that you changed a blower to a brand called thermotec - how was that regarding noise? I my self have an s212 where my blower made those cricket noises from time to time. Pulled the blower out thanks to your old video and gave it some oil. It hasn't made a noise since. Best regards

Spray Lysol through the air intake on the passenger side of the hood near the wiper blade. It worked like a charm for me. Consider removing the filter first, but I didn’t and no more smell.
I found my panel and sensor wire damaged also at Mercedes. Only the chief has long experience. The rest are kids. They will replace the panel and fix the sensor cable. The quote for motor and regulator is 1080 euro. First, I will service the motor. If it still stops, I'll get one from Autodoc.
I had the same problem ! I didnt wanted to buy OEM part for 360 euro so i bought aftermarket for 120 euro and it is making same noise in winter ! AAAARGH !!! :D

Was about to tell the same. True info 👍
Where is the motor shaft on the motor?
It wont help for too long
Thanks for the comment. Mine was also chirping so I oiled it and it is okay. Now it has a slightly silent noise but it's ok for a while.

can you make a video about replacing glow plugs?
Hi, what was the fan doing? Working when cold/car starting and then slowly going off whilst the controller still showed it as working?

The chirping sound sounded like something was hitting the fan blades. Did the chirping disappear after the switch?
It did disappear after the change, also it come time to time I think is a common issue with this blowers.

Yeah think some other models also use this particular blower. That’s good is really annoying when is start making sound haha

Buy original part for replacement around 300 euro, or you could remove it and redo grease + WD40 and hopefully it would run good again!

Why does MB insist on using these funky fans, why ?
