As with others. This was so very helpful. You are a mega-star. Note to anybody doing this on a right-hand drive car. When removing the two pink connectors (about 5:40 on this vid) you have to remove both parts before disconnecting as the press release to disconnect them is on top. Otherwise, it's spot on. Took a moment to change the cabin filter whilst I was in there too.
Do they just pull off? Attempting this now (after checking fuse and resistor) but the electrical connector seems stiff to pull and I took a pause before snapping anything.
@bondsswollenballs doing it today actually. It appears with mine I need to take the Glovebox off aswell as the motor won't turn enough to unhouse it with the glove box fitted.
“Yes” just replaced mine on my merc estate w212 worked straight away and I didn’t replace the resistor or the regulator , thanks for the video saved me god knows how much on a garage bill 👍
Mine was intermittently stopping. Mercedes quoted 1060 euros to change fan and regulator. I cleaned and tightened the speed control contacts to the regulator. Its working well now. The best replacement I saw was a Stark. 260 euros (500 list price) on sale days with correct connector, powerful and a very close copy to the original. There are cheaper but Stark is a very good non-oem piece. The cheaper ones need the connectors changed and many are low wattage with feeble output. The aftermarket regulators are 150 euros max. OEM 540 with tax.
Nice, thanks. It would be only better to fold back the carpet before removing / installing of the plastic cover under the glove box. Easier to operate there then (1:11, 6:10)
Hey thanks for this amazing tutorial! I just bought my new blower motor but I have a problem there is 2 types of connectors. 2 round pins and like yours. I need connection like yours but I bought the one with 2 round pin... Do you know if there is something to do like convertion or I must exchange?

@@MB212 ok, thank you. Mine sounds normal (I have a 2010 e350). So I guess I don’t need to replace it as part of any preventative maintenance since it sounds normal still.

Great video, probably the best I came across, very useful thank you. 3:14 if you missed that part where I put the flat screwdriver in to flip the clip up so is was free to rotate. But first time it could sit really hard, both hands in and twist it. I had to redo the twist shot because I had to use both hands to remove it first time and was not available to video that clearly.

Im having trouble twisting out the actual motor
There’s a green marker on the tab under the motor you need to insert a small flat head in that slot and that will release the motor from the housing
Trying to do this as well… I had my finger on a tab, twisted it but still the motor won’t come out.
Helped me a lot changing motor on my 2012 C250 (w204). Only issue was glove box was little in the way to turn the motor outs had to pry glovebox back.
