    As with others. This was so very helpful. You are a mega-star.
    Note to anybody doing this on a right-hand drive car. When removing the two pink connectors (about 5:40 on this vid) you have to remove both parts before disconnecting as the press release to disconnect them is on top. Otherwise, it's spot on. Took a moment to change the cabin filter whilst I was in there too.

      Do they just pull off? Attempting this now (after checking fuse and resistor) but the electrical connector seems stiff to pull and I took a pause before snapping anything.

  • @fuffoon
    @fuffoon Рік тому +1

    Mine was intermittently stopping. Mercedes quoted 1060 euros to change fan and regulator. I cleaned and tightened the speed control contacts to the regulator. Its working well now. The best replacement I saw was a Stark. 260 euros (500 list price) on sale days with correct connector, powerful and a very close copy to the original. There are cheaper but Stark is a very good non-oem piece. The cheaper ones need the connectors changed and many are low wattage with feeble output. The aftermarket regulators are 150 euros max. OEM 540 with tax.

      There’s a green marker on the tab under the motor you need to insert a small flat head in that slot and that will release the motor from the housing

    Great video, probably the best I came across, very useful thank you.
    My fan completely packed up, all lights & electrics on dashboard control unit working fine so I checked fuses best I can all seemed ok apart from one blown which I changed. I’m not sure if it was relevant to fan though. Anyway, I bought a new blower unit and with some trouble got it released, tried brute force twisting it off and failed but hard to describe I used easy screwdriver head leverage where your hand is here 5:11 at a point between part of the blower case and another solid point to twist the unit, easy Peasy🤷‍♂️
    However new one is not working?🤔 can you give me your info on where the relevant fuse is for the blower, I will look through all again in the meantime, but have you any other suggestions as to what could be the problem, thanks.

    My heat was working on and off sometimes heat would come out sometimes it wouldn’t, this weekend in NJ it was 97 degrees, now the A/C nothing would blow out. I’m hoping it’s just the blower.
