    For me, the VL800 / C50 is the best bike ever made - I bought a brand new and had it for 12 years (June 2009 - December 2020, did some 70k km in 11 seasons) and got another one in April 2023 (a 20 year old, perfectly functioning bike - gave it to my GF). I also got a C90T (July 2023), but I'm already looking into getting a new VL800 / C50 🙂
    Ride hard & ride safe.

    Full half gallon larger tank too. Lighter lower center of gravity 0-60 in less than 7sec stock and runs at 90 all day . .
    C50 . . awesome!

    They've really improved it from VS700 days (before it became the boulevard line). The VS700 has your legs tucked up under you, big 'ol buckhorns, and is far too much vibration to run for any length of time on the highway. Glad to see they've gotten better as the years have gone by.

      +Matthew Williams Yeah, I enjoyed it. The M109 however, was not for me. The power I could handle but the high pegs with NO Floor boards was a no go.

    Nice review! I recently purchased a 2007 Boulevard C50, and it's everything you said. Incredibly comfortable and smooth. It's a real enjoyment to ride. Ride all day long without fatigue or discomfort. Keep the great videos coming, and stay safe.

      +Rob Luciani Thanks. I loved that bike. I hope to find a used one this Winter. It would make a great second bike.

    I got the 2016 C 50 T and love it , it is a great bike for the twisty roads it is my 2 nd one, had one about 6 yr ago but the went to a Honda and then a Triumph and the bike I liked best was the Ural but too much maintenance and no dealers on the east coast, of Canada, so back to the C 50 T I have had over 16 bikes and the over 55 yr and the C 50 T is one of the top for long distance rides. I think they did great by removing that Boulevard peace off the tank, makes the bike look much better.

    I just bought a really nice 06 C50 after 25 years without a bike. Love my Boulevard, just don't understand the mega size motor fad. Used to be 1,000cc was considered monster size, now 650 to 900 called small?! Liked that you said the C50 was more manageable the M109.
    nice video.

      I can remember when the 650 cc was considered large. and the 750 Norton too much for a 2 wheels

    I'm a new rider in my late 50s looking to buy my first bike but definitely don't want a sport bike. I'd prefer an upright riding position so I've been looking a cruisers and a few adventure bikes. Not much decent used bike inventory here in Honolulu, and the riding here is mostly urban (forget what you see in the tourist brochures). I have seen a couple of C50s with under 10k miles for $4000, but wanted to get your take on whether or not this would be a good entry-level cruiser. I also looked at the Honda Rebels, but a lot of reviewers expressed that riders over 5'8" might feel cramped. As for adventure bikes, I especially like the NC750X DCT as I can concentrate more on riding without worrying about shifting. Unfortunately, I'd have to buy it new and that would be over my budget. BTW, I used to live in Rural Hall and recognized the Stratford Towers Shopping Center in your closing clip.

      Yes. The Rebel, you will immediately outgrow, if not already. There C50 is definitely a better buy. At those miles, 4 Grand is a great price. You will love that bike.

    That's cool man, my last video and my next video are also on a Suzuki Boulevard -- definitely feels like riding a couch! I'll stick to my R1 👊🐢☠️

      +turtlebone Yeah. I'm not ready yet. Maybe if I could scrape the coins together for a 2nd bike, it'd be nice to get one. But I can't give up my Yam.

    What's your take on the M90/C90?

    • @RidingWithDemic
      @RidingWithDemic  5 років тому

      I would love an M90 if I plan to never passenger. But if you have a passenger that rides with you often, definitely the C90 would be better.

    What did you think of the brakes?

    • @RidingWithDemic
      @RidingWithDemic  7 років тому

      +Christopher Strickland They weren't bad. Of course, it wasn't a full throttle test ride but they seemed to have responded pretty well.

      109! I had long said that I caught myself comparing it to the 109. It's because I had ridden the 109 right before it.

  • @martinmorris6271
    @martinmorris6271 5 років тому

    You can’t compare a big bike to a midsize/ beginner bike.

    • @RidingWithDemic
      @RidingWithDemic  5 років тому

      I compared my experience on one Boulevard (C50) to my experience on another (M109). They are two different rides; no denying that. But this was just my opinion on the rides and both were great but in different ways. I also make it clear that they are for two different types of riders. Thanks for you input. If you get a chance to ride then both, I highly recommend it.

      I can dig that. Unfortunately, this was when I had inferior equipment. I've made a few changes since then and hopefully I'll have some more test rides this year. Stay tuned for those.
