Got a 2005 C50T Friday. We rode today for the 1st time with my bike and I LOVE IT.. Im 52 and this is my 1st Bike.. Its the Purple/Black Paint. I'm speechless about it.
Hello there, I too have the 2011 c50t boulevard. I purchased the bike in late March 2018. It is an awesome bike, I absolutely love everything about the bike. It has more than enough power & it's a beautiful bike. Suzuki really thought out ths bike. I personally feel that a motorcycle shouldn't cost as much as a car. Tht is why I didn't purchase a Harley. If anyone is looking for a cruiser, I highly recommend the c50t.
This was my first cruiser and I love the c50t. I added a Mustang seat in March and will have my review on that posted very soon. (a month later than I planned but I've been riding too much :)
I'm really enjoying mine. There are lots of parking lots in my area to practice slow speed manuevers(a vital skill!), and it "opens up" nicely on the Interstate!
True, slow speed maneuvers are a vital skill. I spent quite a bit of time doing figure 8's in a parking lot, learning to take off and then stop without running along with the bike as it slowed up LOL.
No, I didn't use cones. I simply got in an empty parking lot and practiced until I could do slow speed maneuvering and starts/stops well. I did it for a few afternoons until it became habitual to start/stop well and work the bike at slow speed. A seasoned rider had told me when I bought the bike, "anyone can ride straight and fast, its the slow speed stuff where you dump the bike." I will look up the video on the right turn from a stop. Ride safe.
I have a 2014 C50T. This is my 5th and favorite motorcycle I've ever owned over 40 years of riding. I feel lucky that it is such a solid and well engineered bike because I simply bought it on a whim cause it was SO PRETTY! Handles great. I am not tall at all so I did install handlebar risers to help and I now ride in pure comfort. Review is spot on.
Wonderful review. I too haven’t ridden in 35 years and am now 60. I just bought a 2012 C50T. I live in the mountains and my home is at 7000 feet. I’m 5 feet 8 inches at 200 pounds. This bike feels wonderful and is a very good fit. I ride one up and this bike has plenty of power on the mountain roadways. I was a bit worried about the power because my last bike was an 1100 cc. I think this bike runs just as strong as my last bike. Every comment on this review is right on. Thank you.
So true.. I experienced 10 wonderful seasons with the European version (VL800 K9), including some sightseeing in the Austrian / Italian / Slovenian Alps - and I have never felt a lack of power or the bike sweating to perform. Not even a bit. Since 2015, I did those rides with my GF - means, two super-full saddle-bags and a huge leather pack in the back - and what a surprise, the bike still had enough power to wind through and climb the beautiful roads there. Truly, a great bike. Now I'm saddling the Boulevard C90T K7 (US version), it's definitely stronger, but neither that nifty, nor handling that well (especially for commuting). Frankly, I might get back to the VL800 / C50 one day 🙂 Ride hard & ride safe.
I am very satisfied with my 2001 VL 1500 LC. It is what came to be the Boulevard C90T. At 5" 7" tall and 155 pounds, it hardly even notices that I'm aboard. I've been riding 55 years, and it is the most comfortable bike I have ever had. I have a Mustang seat and the stock saddle bags. Great review with no music to distract.
Oh man...this is EXACTLY my story. 30 years for me, and it was my newly grown daughter. And this is the exact bike I chose too. Mine is also a T, and it's a 2012. And the more you talk, the spookier it gets. I have the Mustang seat too. Hope you went through with buying it...it's awesome.
Saw your video tonight as I was relaxing looking through here and I have two responses: number one you picked what you felt comfortable on and great for you, number two I love the fact that you and your son get to ride together, I rode dirt bikes with my dad when I was very young but in the later years my dad wouldn’t touch a motorcycle and then got very sick and seemed to enjoy me telling him about what and where I have ridden. Y’all be safe and enjoy your time with your son riding
This might be the best non professional review i have ever listen to my compliments,I ride a c109rt changed to a mustang seat and did not like it for long distance rides, changed to a Russell day long seat now i can ride with comfort for 6 to 8 hours no problem.
Thanks rscar5. I just tried to give an honest review of the motorcycle after a full season of riding. I love the Boulevard and have the Mustang seat on now. I've taken an all-day ride and soon will take a 3 day ride and plan on posting a review of the seat after that.
Well reviewed sir. Enjoyed every word. I am sick of those “professional” reviews that don’t tell me the things I want to know. Most importantly, how is it two up. You covered that well. Thanks for the review.
Gust got over 4000 km on my new 2023 Suzuki C50T and loving it, Very hot and humid hear this year so took the windshield off, what a difference, that winding doing 80 km sure cools you down. I put raisers on the handle bars that also brought them back some, and now fits me like a fine glove. Had a compression fracture in my back so had a lot of trouble getting on and off the taller bikes, but the C50T no problem. Also find it much easer to back in to my shed than my CB500X was. Was pulled over talking to a friend and when I went to leave being on a bad angle to see behind me, I twisted around and think I pushed on the gas tank with my right leg, and down went the bike, glad I had the crash bars on it. It was so easy to pick up and there was no damage, 611 lb. and no problem just picking it up, my CB500X was much lighter but also much harder to pick up, low center of gravity makes a big difference. I do wish the bags were larger and would be nice to have solid one, think about getting a better seat, but will give it a another couple of thousand Km and then decide. Also with the bags on you can not get the key into the helmet lock??? Suzuki blew it there. This bike is a keeper.
Good review mate! just bought a 2010 with low km's. my first week with it after 27 years not riding. So far I love it and what you have said all rings true. Stay upright everyone!!
I think this is the best review of anything, Ive ever watched. Great Job! My experience with the C50 was similiar. The minute I sat on the bike, it just fit perfect. You also answered many of the questions I had that I could not answer as I have never actually ridden a C50. I am 6'1" 195 lbs and havent ridden since I was a kid on dirtbikes. I feel like I could handle it but I may go smaller still just to be safe. Thanks again for the great review, its a huge help to me. Also the fact that you ride with your son, just made my day and made me smile. Thats just great. All the best, Jay
Jay Parmoon, thanks for the comment. My son and I have a blast on the bikes. We're headed out early in the morning for a weekend trip. I have no doubt you could handle the C50 with no problems. Check back sometime and let me know which bike you end up going with. Take care and ride safe.
Nice review and I do hope you get that mustang seat. I own a C50 now but did own a 650 VStar and when I put the mustang seat it pushed me a bit more forward than I’d love, but it really is like sitting on a lazy boy. Really doesn’t vibrate through the seat at all, helps with fatigue. Not a bad way to spend 400 bucks
Calvin Luchs, thanks for the comment. I have the mustang seat on the bike and it has been a great investment. The padding does move you forward a bit, but it has helped greatly with fatigue on long rides and trips. Ride safe and thanks for watching my video.
First time rider and I just bought a 2012 c50t 5k miles on her garage kept beautiful bike. Finished the riding academy and this bike fits me perfectly. I'm 5'11" 165lbs. Great review brother. See you on the road.
Suzuki has some good bikes man. I just bought a 2007 BLVD S50 for $2999, and it's great. Its shaft driven, water cooled. The only problem is its carburated and not very comfortable for my wife on the back, but it's great on the back roads and highway bc of its flickability and good power-to-weight ratio (805 cc, 50+ hp/47ish torque I think, and only 443 lbs). It really gets up and goes!
Christopher Hale: thanks for the comment. If a touring seat is available for that model, it would make for a much more comfortable ride for both you and your wife. Ride safe.
I just bought an '07 C50T on 05/09/18, and I'm planning on taking the MSF course in a few weeks. I'm a new rider and this bike feels very "user friendly", as I went from stalling out at first, and about 2 hours later I was coming out of 1st gear with relative ease. I want to enjoy this bike for a long time, and I feel that this is definitely the bike for me!
Thanks for the comment, DJ. The C50T seems to really have a good feel. It took me a little bit to get confident, but with practice it will come to you.
I have a 2003 Volusia Intruder which is the carb version. Mine is the pearl white 40th anniversary edition and I love it. I did install a Suzuki 1500 rear shaft drive machined to fit this model and give it about 20 percent lower gear ratio so it doesn't rev so high at interstate speeds. Really ads another satisfaction level. I also installed a Mustang seat, which makes it more comfortable on a longer ride. Adds a little height to the seat with the extra cushioning. That was a well thought out summary of this
(continued) model m/c. Totally agree with your assessment. Big bike feel that's just a little smaller than the large displacement bikes and makes it easier and more nimble to handle around town and enough power and very good gas mileage at this engine size (46-49 mpg). Injected models should get better from what I've read.
@@floydrturbo1 Thanks for the comment floydturbo1. I've heard of the rear drive mod, I think it used to be called a DJ drive. I don't know if they're still available. 99% of my riding, so far, has been two lane in the mountains, so it really hasn't been something I've looked at doing.
Nice, calm and honest way of bringing. I like it. Question: you said that you did 220 to 250 miles before filling up again. If I'm correct fuel capacity is 4.1 US gallon. Assuming that it was not totally empty en you still had 0.4 gallon left, than it would mean 220 to 250 miles for 3.7 gallon, which is 60 to 67.5 miles/gallon. Are you sure or is there a mistake in my calculation? My Kawasaki VN800 which is comparable, does best case 47 miles/gallon.
Great review! I just picked up a 2008 C109R with 6k miles. Changed to an Ultimate solo seat with back rest, vicking bags, gman performance package and freedom performance exhaust. Taking it to the keys soon!
thanks for the great video I had tow and the first thing I did was remove the windshield on bough, gave the second one to my sun and the first thing he wanted was put that candy ass windshield back on. I just love the feel of the wind hitting me full force, nothing feels better than doing 100 Km plus in to a 60 km + wind. I mostly ride ADV bikes mid size, but thinking of getting another cruiser and think it might be a C50T all loved scraping the floor boards on the twisty roads. I wore them little pegs that stick down over 3/4 of the way down. That last one I had was white and no chrome badge on the tank, though the bike look so much better with out it, but I see now they are putting it back on all the C50T's
Hello There, first thing first; this is just a superb review. Bang on Money. I recently bought 2014 c50 and looking for a windshield. I would appreciate if you could let me know which one did you get and from where can I get. Thanks in advance
Hello Vaxing, the company I bought my windshield from no longer makes them. But www.7jurock.com makes oversize windshields. It was an excellent mod to the bike. Cheers. Ride safe.
Great review, I have the same in black over red, like you, I love fanging through the mountains, my seat fits me, happy to do 6-700 kms, just need to learn to do more water breaks, just purchased a 2015 C50T with 600km on the clock, love these bikes
Thanks for elaborating about finding the individual right fit for ones particular needs. I'm recently retired, back in the saddle again after 45 years of now riding, and definitely looking for a C50 Boulevard. I'm 5'4" with the proportional shorter arms and it looks like the C50 might work for me. thanks again for your review.
Great review! So good that I purchased a 2014 C50T. I'm 66 and this is my first bike....love it! Question I noticed your bike has rear floorboards. I'm having a difficult time finding ones that fit, any idea what brand, model they are as they look perfect!
I bought a 2013 C50T and keep trying to find something wrong with it to justify upgrading to something with more power. I haven't succeeded yet! Agree with everything you said. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the "clicky" transmission - especially at lower revs. Seems to smooth out considerably when you're punching it along though. Good bike!
Four weeks ago I took a 3 day trip to the mountains and it climbs the mountain highways fine. I've considered a bigger bike but, like you, cannot justify the expense just for the bragging rights of having more cc's. Ride safe.
I presently own a 2012 Suzuki Boulevard C50T "Classic". I bought a 2006 Boulevard C50T brand new before and loved it so much and decided to buy the 2012 new as well. Only complaint I have is that I paid about the same for both only this time the bike didn't come with all those extras! Not much difference between the two bikes except for a few things: 1. rear L.E.D. tail light, 2. fuel gage indicator, 3. passing light switch, 4. different air filter cover. I'm hoping they add a 6th gear and offer L.E.D. Headlight as well as L.E.D. turn signals as an option in the near future. Safe riding!
rob heathcote: thanks for the comment. I made the video after getting into motorcycling and several people had asked about the bikes and how we chose our Boulevards. Stay safe and thanks again for the comment.
Just bought my dad 2008 ct50 off him because he had a slipped disc in his back and can no longer ride due to the pain (I feel awful as he racked up a good 12k miles on just weekend journeys and errands). Hearing that there is no real difference between the later models and old models is great as I was kind of worried about having a 10yo bike that may have had issues come alight in those years.
What is the engine RPM at 60 mph in high gear? I’m hoping to buy a new 2022. I had a Yamaha 1100cc v-star. At 60mph, it was 3700 rpm! Needed a 6th gear badly!
@@rendlerendle I was about to get rid of my Honda NC700X. I was on my toes but after replacing the thin factory seat with a comfortable seat it was too tall. I bought adjustable lowering links but finding a shorter center stand & side stand was a pain. 6 months of shopping, buying, experimenting & failing before I found one side stand that would allow me to ride & park this bike. The center stand cannot be used because the bike is too low now. I went through this with my VStrom 650. Never again. My next bike is a cruiser. I'm 6'1" but my inseam is only 31" so it's like I'm 5'8". Adventure bikes are for people with very long legs.
Great review & explain ... so we need about the maintenance ... i have the same c50t 2012 ..i tide in hot weather between 38-42 centegrate in arabian gulf...so the bike is the best bike in hoooot weather to ... radiator is power coolant...good luck for every one..
enrique rojas: I have ridden my brother's Vulcan 900. It is a good bike as well and comfortable to ride. From my personal experience, there's not much difference between them, as both are 'entry level' mid-size cruisers. The Vulcan doesn't have the 'pass' button to pulse the high beam which the Boulevard does have. The Boulevard has a two-piece seat (driver/passenger) and the Vulcan has a long one-piece seat. I could not tell any difference in the ride. The Vulcan 900 is a good bike. Thanks for the comment.
I took my windshield off of my 08 C50. Not sure if it's factory but it catches a lot if wind and I think I would like better if I could see over it. Also not used to a cruiser and I have to pay attention to speed as far as rubbing the floor boards on curves
Thanks for the review. I just bought a 2017 leftover. Like you I haven't ridden in over 30 yrs and I bought the bike to go riding with my son. I'm loving the bike but definitely gonna order the taller windshield. Bike has plenty of power and looks awesome.
Thanks Scott. Since posting this video I learned that Cee Bailey's stopped making windshields. However, I searched the net and found that www.7jurock.com sells them. I haven't had any dealings with them but they do show the taller windshields on their website. As far as the Boulevard goes, I love it. This month I will have added 10,000 miles to the odometer and have loved every minute of it.
It definitely stopped the problem for me. The wind shook my helmet, which would cause my glasses to shake and was annoying to ride. As soon as I put the taller windshield on the bike, the problem was solved. Also, twice it saved me having a bird hit my face. Both times the bird hit the windscreen near the top and bounced off. With the stock screen, both times the bird would have went just above the stock screen and hit my face. So for both the wind issue and the bird issue, I love the tall windshield. :)
rendlerendle , I just received the new windshield from 7jurock.com. good quality and received the order in a timely manner. Installed the windshield and took her for a ride. The taller windshield definitely stopped the buffeting. Thank you for the info.
Scott, glad it worked well for you. Also glad to know a review of 7jurock. Since my experience with the windshield, I don't think I'll ever ride again with a stock windshield. Ride safe.
Nice review and one of the latest reviews on the Suzuki C50T. I own a 2009 for about 3 years and love it! A Mustang seat would be nice but I haven't seriously thought about purchasing one...yet! My biggest wish would be taller gearing or a 6th speed for highway cruising. I haven't reviewed mine on UA-cam or added a video of a ride but that might be in the future. Safe travels!
Hello friend. Just stumbled on your video. I know its been a long time but wondering if you have any recollection of how the bike behaved and any major issues you may have come across. 2002 suzuki vl800 53000km riden. Thank you
Hello BA, thanks for the question. The bike still rides great and I have no complaints. The only issue I had was the starter relay (solenoid) played out. It started clicking when I pressed the start button and I would have to click it several times to get it to turn over and start. I tried a cheap off-brand solenoid which lasted a couple months. Then I bought the Suzuki brand and it works great (lesson learned on cheap parts). The only other thing I've had to do was replace tires when they got slick. Cheers. Ride safe.
Nice review👍. Does the instrument cluster include a tachometer and gear indicator? Nobody on this island ( Cozumel) has a c50 so I can't look at a c50 in person.
Thanks for the comment. I plan on posting a review of the Mustang seat sometime late May 2018. That will give me time to put some miles in that seat and give a better review.
Bazza Mow, no, the screen does not slow the bike down. Its tall enough that I look through the screen, but its not a problem for me at all. In fact twice its saved me from bird strikes in the face :).
From 16 years old to 20 i rode bike more then i walked lol. and now did't ride bike for 32 years wanna go back in a seddle. my brother in law rod all kinda bikes travel all over US and he said Suzuki was his best bike. I like how it looks so i think i go get one. Thanks great review.
Suren, thanks for the comment. I have no doubt the Goldwings and other higher-end models have more built in creature comforts. But with a few mods my C50T has done well for me. Ride safe.
First, love the video review. My wife and I completed the MSF course a few months ago and now we're shopping for a used bike that we can share while we continue developing our skills. We were issued 250cc dual sport bikes for the course and we both liked the upright riding position but a dual sport is not the style of bike we'd consider. In our late 50s, neither one of us want a sport bike either despite there being a plethora of inexpensive used Ninjas on the market. I personally like a cruiser style like the Boulevard, and I looked at the Boulevard S40 at our local Suzuki dealer since it's just 650cc but it's air-cooled and there's also no used ones around. There is a local Seller with a 2006 C50 with 45k miles for $2550 that looks really clean and I have a motorcycle mechanic friend that can inspect it. In your opinion, is this too much bike to continue learning on? It definitely looks like a keeper.
daMacroGuy, no I wouldn't think that's exceedingly high for the '06 C50. I'm no motorcycle expert but if it's a clean bike and your mechanic friend gives it a look over, I wouldn't be afraid of it for a learner. Let me know what you decide.
Hi i just bought a C50T last night and i have a question about starting the bike, is it normal to start a bike by putting in neutral and pulling in the clutch then press the START button? it won't start if i don't pull in the clutch. i never had to do this with my Yamaha 2016 V Star 250cc, i just put in neutral (green light) and press START there it fires right away. Your answer is greatly appreciated!
I own a 2011 boulevard c50t. Can't find anything bad to say about it. Rode it from ohio to cape Hatteras north Carolina and various trips here and there. It's almost like a recliner on wheels. Now granted it is my 2nd bike with my first being a suzuki Bergman 400 which is a nice bike for a scooter. Highway riding is good and I have passed semi trucks several times. Basically I love the bike and would hate to part with it.
Glad to hear the joy the C50T has brought you. Sadly, because of health issues, I haven't ridden in over a year and will probably have to part with mine. But the Boulevard is one comfortable bike to ride. Be safe.
@@rendlerendle I've got congestive heart failure and I still manage to ride. Sure I get chest pains, palpation and light headed from time to time but I still manage.
@@rendlerendle I've wondered what would happen if I did black out while on my bike. Really hate to find out because my pup that rode with me was the first to sit on the bike after I got the keys. I don't want the bike tote up to where it's totalled. My pup is no longer with me and we had great memories on that bike.
I traded my 2005 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Elite for a 2008 Suzuki Boulevard C50T identical to the red one in this video. My Kawasaki is a beautiful powerful Motorcycle fully dressed a dream for someone else. Just to heavy for me and the Boulevard brings me in my comfort zone where I can enjoy motorcycling. Bigger is not always better. Love them all but the one that fits is my dream machine
Pixels Dumas: thanks for the comment. You're right, the one that fits you is the best, and you will enjoy the ride. Ride safe and thanks again for the comment.
Good review. I bought a 2005 C50T about 4 and a half years ago and love it. You will love the Mustang seat. Best mod I made on mine. Check out my walk around video and you can see how it looks on the bike. Ride safe my friend.
Seirra Foxtrot Gulf: I spend the summers touring so I'm not on the interstate that much. As for 85 all day long for several days, I really can't comment. It probably could handle it but that is subject to opinion at this point on my part. My trips are primarily touring which puts me on 2 lane highways mostly and interstate occasionally only an hour or so. Thanks for the comment and ride safe.
giggleherz: thanks for the comment. The pass switch can save you a collision. This past weekend a vehicle stopped at an intersection and was about to pull out in front of me. When I began pulsing the pass switch, they jammed their brake and backed up letting us through. Ride safe.
@@rendlerendle I love it! I'm going to steal that from you if ya don't mind! 😊 And thanks for the review as I'm going back and forth between the C50 or the 90 and I think I'll stick with the 50 and move up later. Thanks again and stay safe! 🙂
@@barbkeen1221 I don't mind at all :) I had considered the C90 but the C50 does very well so I'm sticking with it. Also, the last time I checked Mustang Seats, they didn't list one for newer C90s. I guess you could have a touring seat made for it though from a different manufacturer. Thanks for the comment and ride safe.
@@rendlerendle Just wanted to let you know that it's yours and another UA-camr's fault!! Because of y'all, I just bought a C50! 🙂❤ This will be my 8th bike in 34 years of riding. It has Cobra exhausts, Corbin seat, extra lights, and engine guard and fairing. I will be looking for another seat with back rest because I will be riding this summer! So thank you so much for a great review and stay safe!
@@barbkeen1221 Oops... I'm partly at fault. Sorry 🙂 I think you'll like the C50. I put a Mustang seat on mine with a backrest. The backrest is grrreat on long rides. Let me know how you like the bike. Thanks for the comments and ride safe.
let me suggest to you that when you ride in high heat drink Gatorade it will keep you going (not that you should keep going) and keep you from getting a headache.
Hello Jim Eckenrode, thanks for the comment. You're exactly right. Last weekend I was on a group ride and the humidity here in the south has been high, along with the temperatures. We stopped at a gas station and I bought a bottle of Gatorade and was surprised how well it perked me back up. Thanks again for pointing that out. I will probably do a video on riding in the heat.
@@rendlerendle I am so glad it helped you. I was on a bike trip going down south and the temp was 100 degrees so when I stopped for gas I bought the gatorade and it helped a lot but I could not go on so I got a room for the night.
Bazza Mow: I've been caught by a rain a few times and it hasn't been a problem to see through the windshield. I use rain-x or wax on it, so the rain blows off pretty well. Usually I'll pull off somewhere pretty quickly, within a couple miles or so until the rain blows over. The taller windshield seems to keep me from getting soaked.
Have you ever had a loud squeal from the front at over 40mph? I have a really loud whining squeal that is intermittent above 40mph. Mine is an '09 C50T
Matt Crook that’s exactly what it was. At first they said no way, it only has 13k on it. I said it is 10 years old and that wheel has probably never been off till now. It still had the original tires. New bearings and a good lube and she rides like a dream :) Ride Safe!
I have a 2008 c50t I bought new. Only 18K on her. I haven't done anything to it except change the oil. Never even taken out the battery stored in my shed in -35 deg winters. Fires up like nothing. I'm 6'4, 215 lbs. I never ride 2-up and it gets me around just fine. I've ridden bigger bikes but I'll probably just keep mine. Maybe I can finally add some accessories.
How do you feel about long 1000+ trips on a c50t? I’m buying a 2011 when I get back to the states and plan on a road trip to Florida and back. Can she really handle the high speeds on the highway for extended periods of time? Let’s say 70-75 mph
I need to stop watching C/M50 reviews...they're all GLOWING! Looking to get something bigger, more comfortable than my '82 CM450C, and I'm curious about shaft driven cruisers and fuel injection. From what I can tell, these are perfect for me
Hello William. I may do that in the future. Its ready for 5th gear around 55mph or so when accelerating. Of course, when just cruising, it can be shifted earlier.
I have a bunch of buddies that have nice harleys. I do too but I also have a vtx 1800 and a c50. Guess witch one I ride the most. The lil c50. it's lite handles extremely well and is just a great bike to ride. I will ride the vtx on highway if I have to go far because it's a cruz missle. But I love the c50. Quiet smooth and handles well. Plus I'm getting old and speed isn't one of my needs anymore. I ride the harley if I want to show off. I really don't give a crap about stuff like that anymore but girls dig it. I don't to much trouble to take care of.
Thanks alanshadyvally. I love the C50T and have had a blast touring on it. Two summers on it so far and the 2019 riding season is coming up. Ride safe.
I was just looking at one today it felt great when I sat on it I'm thinking about buying it I love Suzuki Boulevard it's a 2012 this would be my first bike if I do
Demarco Bennett: thanks for the comment. The Boulevard was my first bike too. I was going to ride if a couple months or so and then trade 'up' but like it so much that I've stayed with it. Check back and let us know if you bought the Boulevard. Take care.
Does anyone know what the default headlight height should be? I bought the bike used, so I've had to adust some things to my body type. Just want so reset the head light aim to default, and then aim it properly. Thanks in advance
@@rendlerendle Good morning brother. I took it to a local bike shop and discovered that the issue wasn't the height, it was the fact that the bulb was so dim that it wasn't casting far enough in front of me. So I just purchased a brighter bulb, and the problem went away. Thanks for checking back on that!
I've watched lot of reviews on here, And I have to say , You should be teaching how to give a review..... I've looked a the C50 , But think I'd like the c90 better. But this review will make me look closer at the c50.
Just bought my son a c50t. Great bike and fun to ride but the rear fender is hideous. I mean an eyesore. If he keeps it next season a different fender is going on.
There's a great video on YT about making a right turn from a stop. I highly recommend watching that one. Did you set up cones for the figure 8?
This has to be one of the best reviews I have have watched. Good job!
Brandon, thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
Thank you.
KC Smith, thanks for the comment. The C50T handles like a champ in the mountains. Glad you like the bike. Take care and ride safe.
Frankly, I might get back to the VL800 / C50 one day 🙂
Ride hard & ride safe.
@illbfrank: Thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
Y’all be safe and enjoy your time with your son riding
kwlambright: thanks for the comment. My son and I have had some good times riding together. Thanks again.
This is a very well done review, nice job!
This might be the best non professional review i have ever listen to my compliments,I
ride a c109rt changed to a mustang seat and did
not like it for long distance rides, changed to a Russell day long seat now i can ride with comfort for 6 to 8 hours no problem.
Thanks Luke.
Wonderful review! I recently purchased a semi-lightly (6,600 miles) used 2006 Boulevard S50 for my first road bike and I absolutely enjoy it thus far.
One of the BETTER reviews for sure! ... Thanks!
Michael Archibald, thanks for the comment. Be safe. Cheers.
The C50T is a great bike in my opinion as well. I live on a Island that has many hills and valleys, this bike is perfect for me. I enjoyed your video.
Fantastic review, thank you so much, sold me I'm getting one !
Hey @marka52665 did you get one?
Good review mate! just bought a 2010 with low km's. my first week with it after 27 years not riding. So far I love it and what you have said all rings true. Stay upright everyone!!
Steve Harvey, thanks for the comment. Have fund and ride safe.
@Curtis Roundtree Jr, yes I still have my 2011 suzuki c50t. It's a great bike, I ride it almost everyday around NYC.
Curtis, thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
Howard Lloyd, thanks for the comment. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Boulevard. Ride safe.
I owned an 06, C50 and loved it. Sold it at 40K miles, still ran like a top
Hello Michel, thanks for the comment. Please provide me the point in which I said I did 220-250 miles per fillup. I'm looking for it. Thanks bro,.
Great review! I just picked up a 2008 C109R with 6k miles. Changed to an Ultimate solo seat with back rest, vicking bags, gman performance package and freedom performance exhaust. Taking it to the keys soon!
Thanks for the comment Rafa. Ride safe and have fun riding to the keys.
thanks for the great video I had tow and the first thing I did was remove the windshield on bough, gave the second one to my sun and the first thing he wanted was put that candy ass windshield back on.
The best reiview sir no music thanks for all the info so professional very good sir 👌
Jose, thanks for the comment.
Cheers. Ride safe.
Thank you for the honest review. I am picking up a 2008 model next week.
Michael Cook: did you get the boulevard? I think you'll be satisfied with the Boulevard.
Yes I got a beautiful 2009 Boulevard C50T with less than 3000 miles on it.
I enjoyed your review, well spoken.
Hillbilly Harvey, thanks for the comment. Cheers.
Great review, I have the same in black over red, like you, I love fanging through the mountains, my seat fits me, happy to do 6-700 kms, just need to learn to do more water breaks, just purchased a 2015 C50T with 600km on the clock, love these bikes
Thanks Geoff, I've been very satisfied with my Boulevard and plan to do another summer in the saddle.
Great common sense review. No music getting in the way.
David Raye: thanks for the comment. Be safe.
Sir you. Have done one of the best review I have seen great job
Thanks AJ Compton.
DK J, thanks for the comment and welcome back in the saddle. Test ride a C50. I'd like to know your thoughts. Ride safe.
Thanks for the review, just bought a Boulevard c50se and I love it, 805cc on this bike is more than enough.
Thanks for the comment. So far I haven't had the need for a bigger cc engine.
I have replace the stock seat with a mustang seat 2 weeks ago and it is great comfort wise, ride safe sir.
Alain, I just posted my review of the Mustang Seat. It was a great purchase and makes all the difference on a long trip or all day ride.
Great review! So good that I purchased a 2014 C50T. I'm 66 and this is my first bike....love it!
Question I noticed your bike has rear floorboards. I'm having a difficult time finding ones that fit, any idea what brand, model they are as they look perfect!
Hello kwas99, sorry for the delay in response. The rear floorboards are stock and came on the bike. Glad you bought the bike. Stay safe.
I have a xlarge or large gel seat cushion on my c50t it cost 100dollars and recommend that over an expensive mustang seat and it's very comfortable.
Great review! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to buy mine!
Dwight Gonzalez, thanks for the comment. I've really enjoyed the Boulevard. Let me know when you get yours. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
@@rendlerendle sure I will! Stay safe too my friend
Thanks for the comment and safe riding!
I believe also the special has cast wheels and not spoked. Which i kind of want for sake of ease! enjoy!
what a fantastic reveiw, no bullshit, just straight talk about the bike. thank you for sharing.
rob heathcote: thanks for the comment. I made the video after getting into motorcycling and several people had asked about the bikes and how we chose our Boulevards. Stay safe and thanks again for the comment.
Great review.. I had a 2012 c50 but it needs a taller 5th gear or 6th gear. Got a little too buzzy on highways... Ride Safe
Shane W: thanks for the comment. Stay safe.
Incredible review!! Awesome! Amazing!! Stupendous!! Thank you sooo much for your time and effort and I'll see you on the c50t boulevard!!
Shoomapado, thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
My son's C50T is an '08 model and runs great with 38,000 miles. If serviced properly it should be fine. Thanks for you comment.
What is the engine RPM at 60 mph in high gear?
I’m hoping to buy a new 2022. I had a Yamaha 1100cc v-star. At 60mph, it was 3700 rpm! Needed a 6th gear badly!
It doesn't have a tach but the RPMs don't bother me. It's not screaming at 60.
I'm looking at this, the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 & Honda Shadow 750 ACE or Aero.
Igwappo, thanks for the comment. Have you chosen your bike? All those are great bikes. Cheers.
@@rendlerendle If I were buying today I'd test ride the C50T & Vulcan 900. One of those two.
Thank you sir. Great job on details which is what I was looking for
JLO GTO thanks for the comment. Stay safe.
Great review & explain ... so we need about the maintenance ... i have the same c50t 2012 ..i tide in hot weather between 38-42 centegrate in arabian gulf...so the bike is the best bike in hoooot weather to ... radiator is power coolant...good luck for every one..
Good video. Would like to hear your comparison with the Vulcan 900
enrique rojas: I have ridden my brother's Vulcan 900.
I have an 07 have had several more C50,s and really like the bike. Take care of this and it will run as long as you want it to.
Edwin Kubena, thanks for the comment. I really like the C50T and have had a blast riding the highways. Ride safe.
Great review. I currently ride a Vespa. I'm looking for a cruiser bike. This one has come highly recommended by friends.
Jesus Mejia: thanks for the comment. I really have enjoyed the Boulevard C50T.
This month I will have added 10,000 miles to the odometer and have loved every minute of it.
rendlerendle , quick question. Did the taller windshield stop the wind buffeting on the helmet? Just wanna make sure before I make the investment.
Ride safe.
Great bike but an even better father and son experience. 🤘🏻
Midnight Materia Gaming, thanks for the comment. Yes, we've had a blast riding together. Thanks again. Cheers.

Thanks Rob. We road all summer 2017 and have our first three day road trip planned for April this year.
Tenho uma Suzuki boulevard de 2005.
Gosto muito de motorcycle
Yes the Mustang seat is great I have one on my 07 C50. These are great bikes !!!
Edwin Kubena, thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
D.W. - it does include a gear indicator, but not a tachometer.
Thanks for an awesome review. Please keep them coming, looking forward to your review of the mustang seat too. Liked and subbed. Peace brother.
Thanks for the comment. I plan on posting a review of the Mustang seat sometime late May 2018. That will give me time to put some miles in that seat and give a better review.
Nice vid mate, does the screen slow the bike down, do you look through the screen or over it
Bazza Mow, no, the screen does not slow the bike down. Its tall enough that I look through the screen, but its not a problem for me at all. In fact twice its saved me from bird strikes in the face :).
rendlerendle poor bird tho lol
Just wondering if you have ever had to adjust the valves
Scott Davis, thanks for the comment. No, I haven't had to adjust the valves. Cheers.
What driver backrest is that??
That was a cheepie I found on Amazon. Later I upgraded to the Mustang seat. I made a video on it.
Great review! My buddy just got one for his first bike, I'll take her for a spin this weekend!
Thanks for the comment. How did you enjoy the Boulevard?
@@robertwilliams450 Glad you're still able to ride. Just don't get light headed and ride upside down. 😂 Stay safe.
Great bike..
Chris Alexander, thanks for the comment. Cheers.
Good review. I bought a 2005 C50T about 4 and a half years ago and love it. You will love the Mustang seat. Best mod I made on mine. Check out my walk around video and you can see how it looks on the bike. Ride safe my friend.
Thanks GA Ramblin Man. I watched your review. Nice bike and the seat looks good on it !!
Great and informative! Helped me to make a decision. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment.
Brilliant mate! Thanks! Beautiful bikes!!
Doy Rayburn, thanks for the comment. Stay safe.
Very nice video. Would you feel comfortable @ 85 all day on the C50T, like across North Dakota and Montana?? Thanks!
Great review thank you sir
Mike Wilkerson, thanks for the comment. Be safe.
Appreciate the video I have a m50 and i didn't know about the pass switch. Maybe I should actually read the manual.
giggleherz: thanks for the comment. The pass switch can save you a collision. This past weekend a vehicle stopped at an intersection and was about to pull out in front of me. When I began pulsing the pass switch, they jammed their brake and backed up letting us through. Ride safe.
Great review!!!! These are good bikes
Edwin Kubena: thanks for the comment.
It would be helpful if you gave your height & weight. Great review!
Jason, I am OFF - Old Fat and Forgetful :) 5-10 230 lbs. Thanks for the comment.
Great review, I just got a 05 c50. Gonna pick it up this weekend. Can’t wait
Thanks for the comment. I think you'll like the Boulevard.
Great review
Thanks
let me suggest to you that when you ride in high heat drink Gatorade it will keep you going (not that you should keep going) and keep you from getting a headache.
@@jimeckenrode1271 Thanks Jim. Ride safe.
Thanks for that, I just got one to, have you tried looking through screen in the rain? Are you able to give below of looking through the screen thanks
Dean Robinson that sounds like a bad bearing
Matt Crook that’s exactly what it was. At first they said no way, it only has 13k on it. I said it is 10 years old and that wheel has probably never been off till now. It still had the original tires. New bearings and a good lube and she rides like a dream :) Ride Safe!
@@deanrobinson6778 Dean, I just saw your post. Glad you figured out the problem. Ride safe.
HeavyMetalBluegrass, thanks for the comments. Ride safe.
How do you feel about long 1000+ trips on a c50t? I’m buying a 2011 when I get back to the states and plan on a road trip to Florida and back. Can she really handle the high speeds on the highway for extended periods of time? Let’s say 70-75 mph
Nice review, i have a 2011 c50t blue and white and it love it , it has enough power for any road, nice bike thanks. ..
Thanks for the comment Ruben.
I need to stop watching C/M50 reviews...they're all GLOWING! Looking to get something bigger, more comfortable than my '82 CM450C, and I'm curious about shaft driven cruisers and fuel injection. From what I can tell, these are perfect for me
Theworkshow, thanks for the comment. I love the fuel injection and have not had the first issue with the shaft drive. Thanks again. Ride safe.
Can you make a video on the gear ratio like from 1st to 5th how fast it will go in each gear before you hit the top RPM range?
Take care.
@@rendlerendle OK thanks will do
Great review...want this bike now just gotta figure out how to get it to COLOMBIA SA
Does anyone know what the default headlight height should be? I bought the bike used, so I've had to adust some things to my body type. Just want so reset the head light aim to default, and then aim it properly. Thanks in advance
DJ J-Rob: did you find the default height or setting?
@@rendlerendle Good morning brother. I took it to a local bike shop and discovered that the issue wasn't the height, it was the fact that the bulb was so dim that it wasn't casting far enough in front of me. So I just purchased a brighter bulb, and the problem went away. Thanks for checking back on that!
I've watched lot of reviews on here, And I have to say , You should be teaching how to give a review..... I've looked a the C50 , But think I'd like the c90 better. But this review will make me look closer at the c50.
Dave Smith, thanks for the kind words. Ride safe.
Dave Smith - did you pick a bike?
Shaft drive
Fuel injected
Water cooled....yes, yes, yes!
Steve, yes to each and I like it. Take care and stay safe.
Just bought my son a c50t. Great bike and fun to ride but the rear fender is hideous. I mean an eyesore. If he keeps it next season a different fender is going on.
58gennaro thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
Tenho uma de fabrico 2005
You sound so much like Rodney Givens of Nivel Parts 😀
Brilliant review, just what I was looking for. Safe riding, cheers
Eddy Babe, thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
