      "Not possess the East" )) this is an explanation of a 21st century illiterate person. in the 19th century they spoke "in the way (get along-make friends) the east", i.e. "in friendship and openness with the East and Asia and their countries". this is the exact opposite of owning the east.))

    • @langedocalgvazil8903
      @langedocalgvazil8903 3 роки тому +2

      Floks 700 - The name of the city "Vladivostok" is translated from Russian as OWN, to rule over the East😋 - although, if you really want to, you can paraphrase this name and as "To be in harmony, in harmony with the East." Russia has two such cities with similar names - Vladivostok in the Far East and Vladikavkaz in the North Caucasus. The name of this second city can be translated as "To own, rule over the Caucasus" - or, "To be in harmony, in harmony with the Caucasus". There is a funny ambiguity in the definition of these names.😎 There is also a third city in Russia with a similar name, it is called "Vladimir" and this city is about a thousand years old, its name can be translated as "To own the World, to rule over the world" - but you can just see in this name one of the old Slavic male names - this also has a certain initial ambiguity.☺

It’s also a surprise for you to find out that the Border Between the USA and Russia is only 2 miles.And also, there is a unique Region - the Fire and Ice Region, where there are more than 300 volcanoes of which 34 are active, the highest active volcano of the entire continent is also located in this region, there are also more than 14,000 rivers, more than 100,000 crystal clear lakes and waterfalls, geysers , thermal and mineral springs, the only place where all species of salmon spawn, the region of the world's largest crab and the region with the largest Grizzly population in the World, more than 26,000 individuals. In terms of crime, Vladivostok is safe. Of course, the gap in the level of infrastructure development in Western Europe and Eastern Russia is still very deep, but we are reducing it every year, in this video you can see it. We have appeared Russian cars on the roads, we have an inexpensive and fast Internet, the assortment of seafood is growing, a lot of fish at affordable prices, more and more tourists come to us every year. I agree this is the image oven painted. And perhaps it is not always untrue. I visited Moscow in 1992 and it was drab. The food was dreadful. Russia has to find its own way. I think the 'shock therapy' policies following the fall of communism eg mass wholesale privatisations etc were a mistake. Clinton, the IMF and Jeffrey Sachs have something to answer for here. The result was appalling income inequality, corruption, oligarchs,, dysfunction. Perhaps Sweden is a model of a successful mixed economy they can follow.

      It was a prospect since the Russian empire due to its location, it may grow. however it just stays like that. just a promise. It was important as Japanese autos were imported to Russia via the city, at the start of this century. since that stopped. just natural resources and services are left in the city. a mortgage with 3% may look attractive but with the cost of living there with American real state prices, it sounds crazy..

People start to care about it, government build alot of trash bins (never mention how important this things are untill you dont have them around)... FINALLY, proper in debt informative video on Vladivostok. I prefer these kinds of authentic videos over the vague over edited vlogs, but unfortunately that's what people want. Would love to have seen more of the old city and museums, but still the best vlog I've seen on Vladivostok. I loved the insight from the locals and tourists. Good job.

      The majority shareholding of this mine last year came back into my country's hands, and suddenly this year there are riots calling for independence from that very province where the goldmine is located?

    Hello! Congratulations for this excellent video showing and explaining all about Vladivostok. Indeed, geographically speaking the city has to attract visitors from the oriental neighbouring countries and it charms to be the eastern most Russian settlement besides the end of the trans-Siberian rail line. Very useful information and an overall idea of what's all about in Vladivostok. Cheers from Brazil!
