@@IlllIlIlll Yeah and it's a shame, because it's such a good headset. Comfort, sound and mic quality is really good, and having an app on the Xbox to customize is nice. I wish Razer would update this headset to work like it should.
Hey Techne, get better soon. I’m definitely an Xbox guy but was wondering if you will make a list like this for PlayStation? I’m still rocking my SteelSeries 9X for Xbox. If I get another headset I want it to work on both.
On your stealth pro vs maxwell video you mentioned that the headband on the pro was stretching and while you didn't say it was a major concern has it changed since then? Also the bit holding the cup. Had 700s and steel series have similar breaks on the parts holding the cups. Does that part feel reliable?
Any idea why some companies don’t make some of their headsets cross every platform? Always found it weird that Razer made an Xbox version of the kairas but not a wireless Xbox version of the black sharks.
Just want to say get well real soon Champ hope you get to move around again even in the video you always standing and move around love to see that kind energy

I recently picked up the LS35x for 39.99 and had to buy Microsoft’s Wireless headset when it was 49.99 from Walmart. I wish I could get the Xbox branded ones to actually sound good because out of the box compared to the LS35’s they sound flat and tinny despite having more bass. I’ve been trying out other peoples custom presets for the headset but can’t find one that actually sounds decent to me. Therefore I’m sticking with the LS35x for the time being.
I bought the Razer Kaira Pro one and a half year ago and I really like it but it has so much problems with crackling sound and it's so annoying and now I bought the Nova 7x on Prime day because of you 😄
@@Chiz1992 sorry for the late answer 😅 I like them so far for me they sound similar to the Kaira Pro but a bit better what I really like. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of app support on console and mobile you can only change sound profiles over the PC app or if you want to change your mic monitoring level.
The steelSeries arctis nova 7x headset lasted me 6 months before static started when muted and unmuted. I thought it was the mic so I bought a broken donor and mic swapped em still didn’t work. So I switched the donor chip from my old one and it worked perfectly. The dongle was starting to die the light of the dongle would fade more and more and it would lose connection sometimes and u would have to re sync it. But the donor didn’t come with the dongle so I can’t connect it to consoles I use it when I work on electronics to talk to people on the Xbox app. Headset is great but the quality control of the Chinese manufactured chips are terrible. And if u say ur mic is broken it’s not covered under warranty as it’s “User Error” but if u tell them it was the chip u broke the warranty by opening it. All in all buyer beware I just went back to my previous headset brand as it’s more reliable and if it was actually the mic the difficulty of changing the mic is out of most GAYMER’S wheel house
Yo thanks for saying this man, I've been through similar things with products and I can tell this was a disappointing journey, what is the brand you went back to?

Glad you’re okay! If the maxwell on Xbox was as good as the PlayStation, would that be your recommendation instead? Thanks for the video. Get well soon!
Do you choose the Razer Kaira Pro over the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen2 Max? I choosing between those 2 and the Razer Barracuda X 2022 and the Razer Blackshark V2 pro (2020) or (2023) depends on price drop on black friday. I mostly play F1 games, Kingdome come deliverance, Assassins Creed, CoD Warzone, RL... and also like to listen some music. Which one would you pick?
From what ive heard, One thing i would avoid is the Blackshark 2023, its an excellent headset, but it doesnt come with a 3.5mm connecter jack unlike the 2020 model.
@@WAFFLEMANNHN it has a lot og good reviews though and has bluetooth which was a must to use on phone, but it was too expensive and at the end I went for a whole different option. The turtle beach 700 gen 2 max looked very good but super fragile. A lot of people complained of the built quality that it brakes easily. So I went for the Steelseries Arctis Nova 7. And I'm very very happy with my choice.
With the hundreds upon hundreds of headsets, earbuds, and IEMs, it literally took me almost 3 months, just to decide on these. Sitting on my porch, waiting on Amazon now, lol.
Had my Astro A50s for 3 years now. Still super comfortable and sound great. If I didn't own a headset I would go with the A30s because it would be easier to use it on my switch and for work than my A50s are.

I just dont find the Arctis Nova 7X's comfortable, im thinking maybe its because the ear cups are actually smaller than the old arctis models. I think im just really used to my arctis 1's
Any headset for series x that doesn't lag on 3d audio? I have tried some razers and astros. Both will terrible audio delay. Even hooked to controller. Stereo has the least amount but still there. The other 3d options are awful with Atmos being the worst.

I'm foresure getting the Arctis 7x nova as my next headset, I watched your Stealth 700 vs them 6 months ago and went with the stealth 700 because of the abilities etc but 6 months later and the plastic right above the earphone just fell apart like the reviews on the product said even with taking care of them
So did mine, I also had a pair that was defective and the chat wheel stopped working and would constantly beep when turning it without changing the chat volume at all. Never buying. A Turtle Beach product ever again 😒

Everyone says the Steel series all break where the metal pin is. It's the only thing holding them back from being the best Xbox headset on the market. Do you have any advice for the Black Shark v2 Pro's fir gamers that prefer Dolby Atmos over their THX setup? The headset sounds great, but I prefer Dolby Atmos.
For my Series X I have 1.Razer Kaira Pro 2.SteelSeries Arctis 9x For my PS5 I have.: 1.Razer Barracuda X SteelSeries Arctis 7P + But I want a new for my PS5 what will you recommend.? I have looked at Blackshark V2 pro 2023 Version
Odd why did the maxwell not make the list? What were the deciding factors on leaving it out compared to the others? Main reason I ask is I’m about to purchase a new headset, budget is of no concern just want the top/best headset for gaming Xbox/ps5
I dont know if you read reviews, but i will like to know if you can adjust the volumen chat & game chat separate because the app just says game & chat , and if you change a little you almost have o chat hearing or gaming sound just for moving a couple lines , i have turtle beach stealth pro xbox versión
Yo I remember ive saw a video of him comparing the xbox headset and the razer kaira pro and he said that the xbox one is better for story games and the razer is etter for the multiplayer so i just wanna know if anything has changed?
I was wondering if you had the measurements from the center of one ear to the other.. following the band? I have a rather large head. 18 inches measuring that way. Makes it very difficult to find a cozy headset.
Are you aware of the audio issued that the Kaira Pro have? I bought them and it is really annoying, out of nowhere the sound would really distorted and I have to turn on and off the headsets over and over again for it to work.
Idk about that one, I get the point of not spending more than necessary to get sound quality, comfort and features but those razor I don’t think would be my choice over the nova 7x, TB stealth pro’s or even the novas pro’s.
An xbox wireless headset is nothing if it needs to be wired (sure, wireless if your controller is wireless but most pro controllers on Xbox are wired. I buy wireless headsets to cut down on wires when everything is stowed away!). I REALLY love that you're talking about this from an Xbox perspective because so many headset manufacturers do this 'its compatible with xbox... you just can't use the wireless functionality (cuz Xbox isn't Bluetooth compatible)'. Yeah, so few (like only you) reviewers ACTUALLY test these on an xbox!!
I dont know if anyone else has this problemwith the razor Kaira pro but after gaming for like an hour or so they start overdriving the bass for no reason. Even when they arent turned to loud or anything. They just start buzzing
Question: If you tweak the EQ in the app on the razer kaira pro, will it still have those same EQ settings for when it connects to something else via Bluetooth
I wish I could say the same about the BlackShark V2 (USB version). I purchased after watching your reviews and I am unsure as to if mine was defective or not, but enjoyed the variable EQ settings that come with the SoundCard (although that is only usable on PC) and enjoyed them for music/UA-cam on my laptop, however, upon testing them on my Series X, the volume was incredibly low, I had to tweak all of the audio settings within my System Settings to get it to a decent volume, after that I quite enjoyed the sound quality and comfort of them playing Forza, Skyrim, etc, but found whenever I would go within the Xbox Guide/Home/Settings, the audio would crackle, distort, & cutout and this carried over into watching UA-cam on the console, which is a major drawback for me.

Has yours ever done that? I'm on my 2nd pair cause I thought my first pair was defective, but the 2nd pair does the exact same thing. It's up to date, but it's very undependable. If you've experienced anything like this with yours. Is there a fix?
There known to have problems
@@IlllIlIlll Yeah and it's a shame, because it's such a good headset. Comfort, sound and mic quality is really good, and having an app on the Xbox to customize is nice. I wish Razer would update this headset to work like it should.
Mine won’t go into party chat for cod lol
Hey Techne, get better soon. I’m definitely an Xbox guy but was wondering if you will make a list like this for PlayStation? I’m still rocking my SteelSeries 9X for Xbox. If I get another headset I want it to work on both.
All I care about is hearing footsteps for pubg and callofduty on xbox what headset do you Recommend?
Which ones did you end up getting?
glad you're alive, hopes for a speedy recovery
Sorry to hear about going down on your bike , glad you're ok ! ✌️😎
On your stealth pro vs maxwell video you mentioned that the headband on the pro was stretching and while you didn't say it was a major concern has it changed since then?
Also the bit holding the cup. Had 700s and steel series have similar breaks on the parts holding the cups. Does that part feel reliable?
Great video😊 and yes, I am interested in the Maxwell for Xbox review. Hope you feel better
Any idea why some companies don’t make some of their headsets cross every platform? Always found it weird that Razer made an Xbox version of the kairas but not a wireless Xbox version of the black sharks.
Man have been lately. But I think it’s a marketing thing between platforms
@@TheTechneI think it is so they can get more money lol
Get healed up, great to see you and love your videos. It is because of your videos I found the perfect headset for me. Thanks.
Nice video brother...i got the Nova pro wireless and they are great....💪🏽💪🏽 The mic not to much but it get the job done😂
I'm interested in what standalone microphone Techne uses for Xbox multiplayer sessions and what the cabling looks like there.
Just want to say get well real soon Champ hope you get to move around again even in the video you always standing and move around love to see that kind energy
Surprised to see that Audeze Maxwell didn't make this list.
Wish you a speedy recovery Tech. Was thinking the other day "I hope everything's alright with Techne, been a while since you uploaded". Main thing is your still here! The bike can be replaced! Wish you all the best. Be sure to put your health first me & everyone else will not be going anywere! Word!
I love your videos they seriously are very helpful they help me find good options. I hope you getter better from your accident glad youre alive!😃
This video/review came at the perfect time. Thank you for sharing!!
I have the kaira pro halo edition and I love them. I play my ps5 more then Xbox but for WZ specifically I play on xbox just because of this headset
Holy shit, I am so glad to see you back
Really fantastic video, kept my interest the whole way through and very informative. Thanks for your effort and time!
Because of your review of the Turtle bEach stealth pro, I got it, love it
I recently picked up the LS35x for 39.99 and had to buy Microsoft’s Wireless headset when it was 49.99 from Walmart.
I bought the Razer Kaira Pro one and a half year ago and I really like it but it has so much problems with crackling sound and it's so annoying and now I bought the Nova 7x on Prime day because of you 😄
How's your nova going?
@@Chiz1992 sorry for the late answer 😅 I like them so far for me they sound similar to the Kaira Pro but a bit better what I really like. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of app support on console and mobile you can only change sound profiles over the PC app or if you want to change your mic monitoring level.
Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery. Peace.
My best gaming-headset so for yet is Corsair HS75 XB, bro. With Wicked cusion also it’s still nr 1. Only one thing is missing and that’s BT connection. So thanks again for an. very good content 👍🙏
Awesome video Techne, hoping u feel better buddy....
Thanks man
With the hundreds upon hundreds of headsets, earbuds, and IEMs, it literally took me almost 3 months, just to decide on these. Sitting on my porch, waiting on Amazon now, lol.
Had my Astro A50s for 3 years now. Still super comfortable and sound great.
If I didn't own a headset I would go with the A30s because it would be easier to use it on my switch and for work than my A50s are.
I'm looking for a new headset because my A50's won't allow me to communicate with anyone saying, "we can't find a mic for these people"
@tysondoyon1842 have you updated them? Also try changing the switch from PC to console back to PC or vice versa depending on what you play on.
I still use my a50 halo edition
Techne honest like always, great video!
Love you techne hope you make a good fast recovery!
I bought that Razer Kairos Pro headset and it's had audio since day one. I took a deep dive into some gaming forums and wow, people are having major issues with these things. Razer is replacing, but the problem is still there. Personal experience, the Razers are a no go.
Appreciate what you do. I hope you recover quickly. I bought the Arctis 7x based off of your review. It has been great!
what games do you use it for?
@@riomahoney8840 COD, Starfield, Skull and Bones, Rust, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Elden Ring, Hell Divers 2, Destiny 2, Final Fantasy, The Crew, Saint’s Row, Battlefield, etc etc….. Tetris. It seems to work really well with every game I have played. I play on the PS5 mostly and on the PC and Xbox sometimes
@@sireberhartsturmre1171how are footsteps in fps games like R6 Siege?
Hey Techne, just ordered an Epos h6 pro, but I can’t seem to find any cushions on wicked cushion’s website? Are they available yet?
I ask them.
I just dont find the Arctis Nova 7X's comfortable, im thinking maybe its because the ear cups are actually smaller than the old arctis models. I think im just really used to my arctis 1's
What is the wireless usb to usb c adapter you showed with the steel series nova 7x? Mine did not include one?
What would you suggest is the best for FPS
all headsets are the same for gaming just which one is more comfy
Do most wireless “Xbox” headsets work seamlessly with PC. It’s mainly gonna be for Xbox but now and again would use on pc
Any headset for series x that doesn't lag on 3d audio? I have tried some razers and astros. Both will terrible audio delay. Even hooked to controller. Stereo has the least amount but still there. The other 3d options are awful with Atmos being the worst.
What were your fps settings for the Kaira Pro?
Between the Kaira pro and the arctis nova 7x, which one has better noise cancelling in the mic?
Hello how are you, I am undecided between razer blackshark v2 pro 2023 and steelseries arctis nova pro wired. Could you help me?
I usually play shooters.
Greetings from Spain!!!
Glad u are ok first and foremost! The videos are a plus but health and wellbeing is first
I'm foresure getting the Arctis 7x nova as my next headset, I watched your Stealth 700 vs them 6 months ago and went with the stealth 700 because of the abilities etc but 6 months later and the plastic right above the earphone just fell apart like the reviews on the product said even with taking care of them
So did mine, I also had a pair that was defective and the chat wheel stopped working and would constantly beep when turning it without changing the chat volume at all. Never buying. A Turtle Beach product ever again 😒
Did you ever do the Beo Portal Xbox ones? Bang and olufsen?
Use to love my bike. My parents talked me into getting one. We drove every weekend. then my dad crashed and i lost both my parents at the same time. Glad u lived. Stay safe bud. Its fun but just takes one mess up and your gone.
Does the black razer blackshark v2 2023 works with xbox? Should be the best wireless :)
For my Series X I have
1.Razer Kaira Pro
2.SteelSeries Arctis 9x
For my PS5 I have.:
1.Razer Barracuda X
SteelSeries Arctis 7P +
But I want a new for my PS5 what will you recommend.?
I have looked at Blackshark V2 pro 2023 Version
Steel Series Nova Pro's Wireless gg
Also, feel better Techne!
Odd why did the maxwell not make the list? What were the deciding factors on leaving it out compared to the others? Main reason I ask is I’m about to purchase a new headset, budget is of no concern just want the top/best headset for gaming Xbox/ps5
I picked up the SteelSeries Pros and people keep complianing my mic sounds awful any idea why? I am playing on an xbox.
The Razer black sharks are amazing had them for 18months now and they are perfect. Wish they just made them in a wireless version
They do have a wireless version called Razer black shark V2 pro
I dont know if you read reviews, but i will like to know if you can adjust the volumen chat & game chat separate because the app just says game & chat , and if you change a little you almost have o chat hearing or gaming sound just for moving a couple lines , i have turtle beach stealth pro xbox versión
What Blackshark version are these? is it the V2 or V2 X?
Yo I remember ive saw a video of him comparing the xbox headset and the razer kaira pro and he said that the xbox one is better for story games and the razer is etter for the multiplayer so i just wanna know if anything has changed?
The ESL edition is literally at 70 USD rn!!! What a steal
Does the “Black Shark v2x 3.5 headphone jack version” work with surround sound on xbox??
I was wondering if you had the measurements from the center of one ear to the other.. following the band? I have a rather large head. 18 inches measuring that way. Makes it very difficult to find a cozy headset.
Surprise one of Audeze headset is not in the list
Hello, can you review the Audeze Maxwell for xbox please
Good luck on recovery, sir dude.
What happend to turtle beach 700 gen 2 on the list
On the razor blackshark did you use the usb for the sound test
Are the steelseries pro wired still good
What would you say has the best overall audio and mic quality? My vote is probably the h6pro. Let’s see if I’m correct. 😂
