Awesome haul out there. Some good variety but that was a redbanded rockfish (Sebastes babcocki) the tiger rockfish have narrower bands and more. That said I am very jealous of you catching one. I would love to get one. 👍

Is that the 7ft Carnage rod? I have the Carnage III 12' for surf fishing and want to get one like yours! LOVE the videos, watching these helped motivate me to move to Alaska!

Some folks pick up ling cod but they are pretty rare around here. As you get towards the open ocean, they become much more abundant. I caught a small ling while trolling for salmon a few years ago and sometimes pick up small lings while halibut fishing - but nothing of much size. I'm hoping to change my luck on the lings this season! Do you fish for lings or buy it in a store? Tight lines! Captain Zac

@@CaptainZac we catch them. I do an annual fishing trip to Kitimat, British Columbia with my son. We have done very well with ling cod
