Great timing - a new TRY video just went up with me in it! 😂 Trying the Fire Ramen challenge- it was actually LOVELY: ua-cam.com/video/9EARi2s_hgw/v-deo.html
I was impressed how you went right through those noodles. I might actually try them myself. Well Done!
yes indeed and in the comments Nicole said she actually went out and bought a few buckets cuz she really enjoyed those ones.
"I can get this into me, no problem" thata girl!!
Hello from Lake Tahoe California.🏞
I have a question what's the difference between Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic?😎✌
You really should think of making Canada your destination the next time you come across the Atlantic. Americans will tell you that there's not that much difference, but there's a reason Americans sew a Canadian flag on their backpacks when they travel abroad. We have Healthcare, they don't. They have 9 times our population and 100 times the murders. Better country.
I was in Ireland last year and had a medical emergency. I was the silly (insured) American girl panicking about how much the ambulance ride would cost me and the medic said, "That's free for everyone here." The nicest answer when I was far away from home and not doing well.
@Finn Bell I freaking wish, but honestly I’m not sure. It should be but the politicians who write the bills to pass the laws are constantly being funneled money from insurance and drug companies to where if they remove privatized systems they wouldn’t have such comfy lives. It’s ridiculous.
Yet here in the U.S. (a.k.a. the "greatest country in the World") we can't seem to manage something as simple & basic as that.
Yeah, that "greatest country..." remark was sarcastic.
@@DavidHuffTexas Simple and basic?? Ireland’s population is a little over 6M. NYC alone has 8M people. US population is over 325M. NOTHING is simple and basic when considering the population AND geographic locations of the US.
@@sooverit3258 More population = larger GDP = greater tax base. Additionally, our 2019 military budget was $686 Billion. We can damn well afford to decrease that and pay for universal healthcare (Note, that will mean savings in other areas as well. No businesses will have to pay health insurance costs for employees, since healthcare would be decoupled from any specific employer).
@@DavidHuffTexas
Ok
Wish you and Dermot got paired more often, one of the top pairings on Try IMO and needs to happen more. But agree, you and Ciara drinking would be fantastic!
As a Japanese American who wasn't spoken to in Japanese growing up because my mom (3rd gen Japanese American) doesn't speak it, please, go ahead and speak Irish to your kid, at least some of the time. Having even a tiny bit of experience with it from a young age makes a HUGEEEE difference if they ever want to learn when they're older.
Of course, assuming Alex is ok with it.
Also, studies have shown that multi-lingual kids tend to be more successful in school :P
I have so much fun when you and Dermot are paired because he just cracks you up constantly. 😂
This was fun. I have a huge respect for people who can speak more than 1 language. My Mexican friends say I'm a burro because I am so terrible at other languages. What's really impressive is that Milly is multi-lingual as well!
"i want to work with Ciara because..."I just want to see the carnage!" This is my new favorite saying.
Just wanted to say ...you are a real breath of fresh air I love your enthusiasm & personality kudos 😸
Love your Q&As. You're very quick with your answers and so open and honest 💗 love ya!
Every single time a new video of yours comes on, my friends and I watch together, you and the Tryers bring so much, oddly enough, "normalcy" back to so many peoples lives. Thank you
Whenever I open UA-cam now, a random video from your channel pops up. I enjoy your Q&A videos, and I wonder if you have any more. How relevant are your answers now, that it has been two years... I like this video a lot! 👍
You know what would be interesting, is having American collaboration on the try channel one of you guys paired with an American, that would be interesting!
I'm not sure an American could stand the rough amount of alcohol that is consumed in the TRY vids 😅
Maybe pair up with Americans of Irish descent. We can drink plenty!!! 😂
100% speak Irish to your children!! Me and my boyfriend plan on taking Irish lessons to be able to speak it in the home for when we have kids ♥️🇮🇪
Excellent idea ❤ My mother tongue is not the main language in my country, and it is slowly dying out so I definetly plan to speak it to my kids when I eventually have them 🙂
I can't say I watch all of your content...that'd be a bold faced *lie*, but I will still say you're one of my favorite UA-camrs on the platform, because you're so genuine, honest and open. Keep being the amazing person you are 😊
Millie is adorable ! I do like the colored wall behind you. Also you did really well with the spicy noodles on TRY.
Reason for larger cars with bigger engines in the US: Lots of large people that like having the ability to go fast even if we don't have the skills to do so. We also like the ability to take a lot of our stuff with us everywhere we go.
We take lotsa stuff cause it takes a week to get anywhere.
And there is something very phallic about it, too. The women have something we say about men with big or fast or very sporty cars.
It's a safety thing as well. With lot of people too entranced by all things on their phones while driving...it's good to be in a tank. Goes both ways though, you also see a soccer mom (or soccer dad in his pick up) driving solo in her Expedition or Enclave while her face is glued down trying to text...
also compared to the US, the UK add s about 70p per litre tax, so economy becomes more important if you're paying a lot more.
Also some US cars had big engines but developed tiny HP for their size
Reasons for smaller cars here - have they SEEN the size of Ireland in comparison to US 😂 the smaller the surface area of the land, the smaller the roads need be. 😅
Everyone on the TRY Channel is golden and I'm glad to have met you all via the UA-cams!
We have the Chattanooga Lookouts. Named after Lookout Mountain nearby
As someone from the USA your reaction was 100% correct. It’s a shitshow.
Could not have answered it better. Just UGGGHHHhh. *gag*
what an ignorant response from an American and part of the reason this is so troubling. These people who have not read anything from the founders or the constitution. Have no understanding that we have created a huge privileged class which uses divisiveness to misdirect from the actually problems. The "class" problem. Yes its poverty not race. Her response was valid for an Irish person however no American should respond that way.
@@tiffinal are you an American? Just curious...
@@tiffinal Except poverty too often connects to "race". And "race" was used to keep someone rich... And thereby someone else poor...or to keep someone powerful...and thereby... Yeah.
In the u.s., "race" is class.
but if you want to start handing out checks, I'll listen.
@@TheCdubbleyoo My mostly Scottish-Irish-English family in Appalachia would completely disagree with you. Who keeps Lebron James rich? How about Michelle Obama or Samuel L. Jackson? No, race isn't class. We do have people who benefit from the perception that race relations are bad, are getting worse, and that racism is endemic, so on, but that doesn't reflect reality. We need to stop getting our opinions regarding race relations from Twitter and go out and engage with others more on friendly terms. That's all.
Oh I have the first like. I feel lucky. I’m watching this now. I love your channel. Thank you for sharing
Also: R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen!
@Kurt L. Monster cool story. Thanks!
Thanks for answering my questions Clare - love these types of videos as we get to learn more about you😄😄
Great video and 100% Alex is the funniest man around😃😃
P.S. think it would be hilarious for you to do a "tarot reading" 🤣🤣🤣
I acted in a film with her once upon a time. She is an absolute ledge and great craic. And every time I see her in a try video I know it's gonna be fun :)
For the record, many of us in America have that same reaction to what's going on here. Fun video Meg. :)
Election reaction was priceless 😂 I feel same way.
Loved the video...kisses to Millie...you were fierce during that Fire Ramen Challenge.
Much respect for putting mine in there and answering it. Just remember... We love Alex cause we love you!
Really cool to here you mention my hometown (Macon). I don't know if any jerseys are still available but an earlier name before Macon Bacon was Macon Whoopie. Love your channel. Peace+ Sean
So I'm older than Dermot, yes we exist. What I love about your channel, you share honestly. ( Well, and Millie too, can't lie I will always be a fan of someone who has the compassion and love for a fur kid.) You've got this, life is wasted if you don't go out and explore the options, just sayin!
You are beautiful 😍
Love Try Channel. Just stumbled upon your channel today...Thank you for putting in the time. You are a Hoot!
Hey, so about your book! I've been both traditionally published and self-published. I prefer the latter, but it's LOTS of work. I'm happy to answer ANY questions about the process, decisions, options, etc.
After renting a car and driving all over western Ireland the smaller car made it much easier than a good bit of the vehicles I drive here in the states. Was a tiny car but practical on the side roads away from the main highways. Was a Honda fit and was an absolute blast driving those winding roads.
Here's my favorite Ferengi rule of acquisition I can remember off the top of my head. Treat people in your debt like family.... EXPLOIT THEM!
You're one of my fave Tryers and one of the few I went over to follow to 'get to know better' as you do if peeps have a platform. Just wanted to comment that I can see you as a fierce rugby player and think that's folking awesome!!
Really good Q&A video. Nothing but questions and answers. No crap in between is perfect. UA-camrs could take note from you!
You are a beautiful soul and I love watching you on Try and just found this channel to. I wish I was in a position to help support you on Patreon, but I can't. Just keep smiling and helping people around the world to smile too. God bless you (I know you don't believe but I do, so it means more).
Well that was fun. Thank you for posting. Good luck with your new full time career.
Oh! I grew up in the San Diego area! I lived in Kentucky too and now I live in Oregon!
can i just say your my favorite out of all the try channel members which is why i had to see in you had a channel, and i am so glad i found it. much love from Williamsport Pennsylvania US.
Thanks!
You have family in Arizona! How cool! I was born there, but now live in Georgia.
Love to see you and Dermot together...you two make me laugh so hard 😁
You're more tolerant of some questions than I'd be! Love all your stuff, here and on Try - thanks for the entertainment in a shit year!
Holy crap you answered my question! Thanks 😁 also yeah i agree with your answer. I'm not religious either but I've had too many paranormal experiences to ignore it lol. Love your channel!
Thoroughly enjoy your videos from small small town Ontario Canada. Hope you are safe and cuddled in for the night. Slainte Mhath !
i'm glad you cleared up your name, cuz i thought i wasn't hearing the 'is' and it was some really subtle accent thing. lol
I am so late to the game of finding out you had your own channel!!
Love watching your try videos. Your so full of spit and vinegar, it is incredibly funny! One never knows what will come out of your mouth next.
Keep it up!
MIN is a combination language of the Gaelige Yurrf and Gunjaji inuitive languages. Proper names do exist but can only be discovered by others who speak by hearing the name from another speaker and actually understanding who it is...
I like that you are not afraid to have an opinion on controversial topics. Keep it 100.
Please do comedic Gaelic lessons for practical phrases that we can use when we visit Ireland.
My grandmother is from County Clare by the name of Murray; and emigrated to Newfoundland way back when.
Great Q&A 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The Macon Bacon is my city’s baseball team, Macon, Georgia.
They play in the Coastal Plain League & their mascot is a strip of bacon named Kevin Bacon.
Our hockey team used to be the Macon Whoopee.
Their mascot was a Whooping Crane & their logo was a Whooping Crane swatting at a bee with a hockey stick.
They went a little heavy with all the sexual innuendos.
Our current hockey team is the Macon Mayhem.
have always wanted to visit Ireland... now I have a reason !!! to meet my favorite Try types !!! would love to meet you and Alex !!!
I don't have problem understanding your accent, or anyone else's on the channel, but there's a big Irish influence where I'm from, including my Mom's family. Lol!
Fair play, Alex is funny. No he did not pay me for this. Thanks! Dave J
I appreciate that you love your language and culture. There's a quote in the Philippines about language:
“He who does not love his own language is worse than an animal and smelly fish.”
Great presentation. I had just watched the Fire Ramen video and then this appeared. It was fun getting to see another side of you apart from the Try videos. I wish you a long and happy life! :-)
My question made the video! I'll be looking forward to your future spice bag series. ;)
I've been making my own. Nobody makes them here, and I'm hoping to change that.
You really have a bright aura about you. Thank you!
Even in a Q & A who asks ‘when are you going to get your nose fixed?’ That’s a question from someone with some very BIG emotional problems. I thought your forthright answer was just what they deserved. My impulse would have been to hit back with nasty for nasty and say ‘I don’t know, when are you going to seek therapy for your obvious anger management issues?’ But your response showed a lot more maturity than mine. And I’m a whole lot older dammit! I guess age really is just a number🙂
By the way, I’m sure you know this, but your nose looks great exactly because it’s so balanced and symmetrical in relation to the rest of your face. Just what you want to achieve.
More important you and your cohort are great and fun to watch on the Try Channel. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Really great q and a and you got through loads of questions
Re subs. I know UA-cam are planning on bringing Trusted Captioneer out next year where you allow trusted people access to your account to created the subtitles. I’m not sure that helps but possibly something to keep an eye on
You rock! Love your attitude. Give Millie love.
Hi Clisare, cool Q&A :) BTW, I think you should still be able to add subtitles on your own UA-cam videos (they have "only" taken away the chance to the community - the viewers - to add translations in other languages) ...at least, this was what they said before the 28th of last month.
Yes but I wouldn't have the time as that would take me hours. Plus, the community captions allowed others to submit different languages, so shit that's gone!
Love your videos, such great humor and laughter, please continue!😊
I saw you do the spicy ramen challenge on TRY. You said you love noodles and spicy food. You should try (no pun intended) Koka Stir Fried noodles. They are 🔥, but delicious.
Funny Qand A. Lets see more of Millie
After being hit, for the 3rd time, by dinguses not paying attention I swore I would never drive a smaller car again.
Driving with 18 wheeler trucks on the highway in a tiny car freaks me out too.
I drive an SUV now and it's considered a medium car. I love it because I'm higher up and can see much better. So I feel I can maneuver different situations better.
If I was in Europe I figure my mindset would be much different re: car size, but over here I want a "bigger" car for safety & peace of mind.
Just wanted to share my reasoning on my car choice here in the US. 😊💜💜😊
My favorite video of you was an Irish whiskey shoot. I think the drink, in particular, was from Antrim and it had a 'water wheel' and you thought it deserved a medal! :)
Just went to Try to watch your fire ramen vid. OMG. I love you woman. So much respect and adoration. I eat Shin brand ramen religiously which is spicy but the fire ramen is definitely a special occasion thing.
I was sad you weren't paired with Dermot but him and Sharpie were on fire so made me laugh til I cried. Nicole was amazing too.
Again. Thank you for trying the fire ramen. Had no idea it was available in Ireland.
That's cool. I knew to call you Claire but wrote it Clisare since that's all I ever saw. I had no idea why though...until now. LOL.
'Clare' like the County 👀 😂
Oops. Sorry for the autocorrect.
You're awesome!
Seriously one of my favorite Try peeps, not that that means anything to you but... Whatevs
Why are our cars so big? Size matters? 😁
Ok, I drive a Ford F250 because when I bought it, I had a boat that needed a larger truck to pull it & it has a backseat for my dogs, for the 250 mile (each way) trip. I also live in a more rural area of Michigan, US and snow.... so, imo, 4X4 is a must. **I was also eligible for Ford A plan at the time 😃
If you like unusual mascots, UC Santa Cruz's mascot is the mighty Banana Slug :P And I believe Stanford's mascot is a tree.
Yes!! Irish Bucket List Book!! 🤞
I always miss Ireland after watching your videos Clare! All the best to you, Alex and Millie. Fan sláintiúil ~M
I learned a few things! Thanks Clisare and Millie 🐾🌴❤️
I like all the Try shows that your on. My favorite is the Krispy Kreme video. Thanks for being a nice person.
Hope it all works out well for you! I have been a sub and watcher for years now and it's wonderful to see your growth x
the best out here!
Our cars and trucks are so big because the USA is almost 3100 miles across and Texas is 900 miles across by itself.
Great video. Relaxing and cheerful, just what I would expect. Alex and Millie are such cuties ;-)
About the cars. In the US, we just have many states, lots of roads. And driving is a pastime in the US.
When things are back to normal you should visit Western Washington! Weather is just like Ireland
No Irish person wants to go on holiday somewhere where the weather is the same haha
@@Emmabits probably right, ha ha. But I can say growing up in WA makes me not want to holiday anywhere too hot now.
When I saw the Q about Mayo, I thought "fuck off, with your mayonnaise." 😂
Georgia boy here. Just wanted to shout out that I appreciate you have both of the Coastal Plain League's Georgia teams' hoodies in your closet. Georgia likes to get fun with names and mascots compared to other southern states, but minor league baseball, in general, has the best mascots in my opinion.
The 3rd team from around where I grew up would be great for your collection too, and they're actually from north Florida. So if you see any Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp hoodies go for it! (Honorable mention to Rocket City Trash Pandas, and the Birmingham Biscuits)
Millie was my grandmother’s name and she did indeed have edge and spunk (a lot) all her life. I have a daughter named Rose and have considered naming my second daughter (should I ever have one) Millie. It’s a good name ❤️
First time seeing you outside Try & have to say you are adorable❣
Fun Q&A. Thanks.
I know this is an older video but I'm very happy I came across it! For your "strange love" for weird school mascots. There is the "Santa Cruz Banana Slugs" in Santa Cruz California.
Thanks Clare
one of my dog adopters (I work in animal rescue) is the announcer for the Savannah Bananas. love to see them getting attention!
I fucking love Tommy Tiernan, too! Love from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada! 🇨🇦 ❤❤❤
Dermot and Clisare solving riddles is the best
Ha Ha the Carnage! Ciara can knock’em back. She can drink with the best of them so good on ya for trying to keep up! 😆 Love your vids!
Just catching up here and there.
If you like obscure teams, Delta State unofficial name is the Fighting Okra. And check out the mascot to the Rhode Island School of Design. I'll leave that mascot as a surprise.
Parents do tend to speak their language to their children even if they both speak different languages, then they use the common language to address each other. You could still try to speak Irish to your children. It feels like such a sad thing not to. As a descendant of highland Scottish clans, the fact that my ancestors lost Gaelic is a very sore point.
Cai MacCoinneach or just teach the kids and Alex at the same time
Millie is such a sweetheart!
I used to perform locally, so I get the whole friend thing, starting fresh and all when they have preconceived notions about you anyway. There was a young man who kind of fan boyed on me, when I introduced myself, him being an incredible talent himself. He said he remembered who I was from "back in the day." I smiled and said thank you, how kind when I really wanted to snatch the scraggly boy beard off his chin. Now a few years later, we are outside circle friends, with admiration for each other.
Amazon (Kindle) Print on Demand is a pretty straight forward process. The biggest thing is the formatting. I publish kids books and its a pain in the ass every time - ESPECIALLY if you're including images. Best bet is to use the in house software, or go via Microsoft word and pre-size your pages before you even start. (I am also on the you tubes - feel free to hit me up if you have any follow up questions)
good craic as always
