- The all-new Koenigsegg Jesko made an emotional debut at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. The car is named for Jesko von Koenigsegg, father of founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg.
The Koenigsegg Jesko has a twin-turbo V8 producing 1280hp on regular gasoline. It produces 1600hp on E85.
Jesko features a new Koenigsegg-developed 9-speed gearbox featuring 20-millisecond shifting between ANY gears.
With a maximum 1400kg of downforce, Jesko will be the ultimate road-legal track weapon. A sister model with less downforce and more focus on top speed is also available.

I actually got to tour the factory this summer. There's a lot of places that's off limits, and a lot of questions you cannot get an answer to. Yes, what's not patent pending etc. they share, but they are as secretive about their new stuff as the rest.

You should check out carfection amazing channel. They have made probably the best videos on Bugatti Chiron. You'll know the difference between a Bugatti and agera rs. People say Bugatti is just heavy fat ugly car even I used to think that until I watched the engineering video of the Chiron.

@@Anankin12 The tyres have no problem with those speeds for a very short time. There are already tuned cars that can go beyond 500 km per hour. There is just no tyre that can go these speeds multiple times without risking an accident. And we all agree that we don't want to see a car crashing at 300mph.
@@pietskiet8763 1200kg dry weight and 1400kg with fluids is quite incredible. To give you an idea, the senna has a dry weight of 1198kg. This car has 200kg more of downforce, R compound brakes and 1578HP. Those numbers are insane.
@@Anankin12 During the high speed runs of Agera RS, Michelin was there to monitor the tires' condition. Heat was half what was anticipated and in stead of swapping tires every other run, Michelin cleared the set to do more runs.

...and they still have time to think about redesigning their famous "dihedral synchro-helix" door hinge, AND still make it available to retrofit onto the very first Koenigsegg cars...

3. Active suspension with turning rear wheels
4. Active aerodynamic system that produces 1000-1400 kg of down force if needed
5. Super lightweight wheels 20" and 21" front and rear
6. New door hinges that can be installed on older vehicles
7. Full compliance with safety and emissions regulations across the globe
And it's all in the car that weights less than 1.5 tons!
And the reason for all of this is so you can drive fast home, to get your roof if it starts to rain

@@mmikum While there's no denying Pagani's design brilliance, ultimately he has to rely on outsourced components(drivetrain and other systems) in order to see his cars to fruition. Not that that's a bad thing. As he obviously brings everything into a super sexy cohesive design. Koenigsegg, however, does not rely on outsourced components(other than tires and parking brake mechanism). EVERYTHING else needed to make the car is made in-house! Which is truly an impressive feat for an automaker to be able to do. And when you include all the other innovative automotive technologies(FREEValve being just one) that Koenigsegg is constantly developing, all of which is being led by CVK, I feel that puts him on an entirely different level when compared to Pagani. CVK has both incredible design AND engineering talents! Not to mention admirable business savvy, as well! While he may not ever be compared to Henry Ford, he definitely will be remembered as one of THE most brilliant automotive minds of our day!

I think Mate Rimac is right up there. He did about the same coming from a much more humble background and in a much shorter time.
The C_Two looks to be a Bugatti level car, but with a new energy source. Actually its range is much greater than a Bugatti Chiron despite the huge tank on that one.
And then, Pininfarina bought the C_Two's underside for their first real car.
Koenigsegg does so much to optimize stuff we though were perfect already. My main gripe is that the cars don't get to be tested around a track enough. Some crashed, but then customers are kept from lending their cars to pro drivers to compare them to other hypercars. I want to see them race!

Exactly. Its incredible that they have such a small team and are winning a battle against the likes of McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti which have an army compared to them. Still being able to not only beat lap times but also beating them in all out top speed, incredible what a close nit family can do when they work together.
