  • I've been super privileged over the years to have had the opportunity to detail some of the of rarest cars in the world. This is no exception. The Jesko is Christen Von Koenigsegg's latest creation name after his father Jesko. This may be the first true production vehicle to reach 300 MPH. I was asked to detail and restore the Jesko to perfection for the cars upcoming events in East Hampton and the following week in South Korea. There will only be 125 Jesko produced in 2020 for an estimated $3M each. They are all sold out...but this one is the prototype (#1 of 125) and will be at car shows around the world. In my detailing opinion, this is the best paint I have ever worked on for a production vehicle. To find out why, check out the episode. Hope you enjoy! -Larry

@Kilo Byte there's actually a few reasons it opens like that!
      1) It allows easier ingress and egress as the door moves almost completely out of the way, a boon on such a low car.
      2) having it slide up and forward allows the door to be longer (again easing entry and exit) without causing it to stick several feet out to the side when open and potentially hit things. (Go find a mid 90s Buick Riviera coupe and watch them open the door for reference on how dumb that can get.)
      3) it looks cool as shit and is part of the Koenigsegg identity at this point so why not?

@Tweekedout As a pro detailer with my own business doing this, a typical paint correction is 1 thousand dollars and going up from there based on size and severity of paint damage. Due to the nature of how expensive this car is and how perfect it had to be with many tight angles and corners, he probably charged somewhere in the ballpark of 3-4.5 thousand. Not too bad when you sell one for 3 million dollars. Hope this helped.

Christian doesn't care, so why do you? Koenigsegg have intentionally chosen model names that can be pronounced different ways. Agera and Regera are Swedish words, but work just as well "mispronounced" in English. There's the Hundra, meaning 100 in Swedish.
Lots of brand names are mispronounced outside of their native countries. Non Germans tend to pronounce Braun as it is spelled rather than "Bron." Companies aren't going to correct you, because brand names are about recognition.

Even higher end cars ($100k+) most insurance companies will tell you "Only you or someone with 10+ years experience can drive it) because they don't want some 17 year old driving it and potentially causing an accident.
