This is Thomas' video this might be biased. And there was no cheering clip of Luke Holland because his clips are always cut too early. Luke used different styles, Thomas used only one style over and over again.

I think for any intelligent people it is perfectly clear, that some of these masters are untouchable. You cannot say that Vinnie Colaiuta is better than Thomas Lang, or Donati being better than Jojo Mayer. It's like saying that a 7th degree black belt of a certain martial arts is more respectable than another from a different one. These guys are examples of craftmanship, virtousity, diligence, etc. Thomas is one of my favs too, he is like a freakin' machine O.o

These guys are obviously skilled players, so perhaps the dislikes were for another reason. Lang & Holland said they were preparing 10 minutes of material for their stage performance, but for some reason we have a total video length of 6:36, and almost the entire first half is not drumming; maybe the dislikes were for the way it was edited, as I'm personally left feeling like we potentially missed more quality drumming. There could be myriad reasons behind the choppy performance edit, but we could have missed some awesome (?) stuff depending on the tastes of the person responsible for the editing. A great deal of content was edited-out for some reason ...

Luke being not as experienced, but Thomas probably see's a bright future ahead for him. Years more drum playing does has efffect on skill level. Luke at Thomas's age will be hard to beat.
Guys ya'll got too lighten up on young Luke. He's a young man in this game and obviously Lang has taken a liking too him so that in itself is a compliment to how far Luke has come. It's not an unknown secret that Lang is his friend and mentor because Lang can see the future potential in this young man. I don't see Lang using Luke as competition, I see a Humble man trying too share his talents with an up an coming drum star. Mad props too Lang, he's a top class act✌
