Amazing achievement. Steam trains were still common in 1955 and these were doing 331km/h. 1955 was a year for French innovation alright. This train, the Citroen DS car and the Sud Avaition Caravelle jet airliner.
Et voilà, ça fait 60 ans (et quelques heures...) aujourd'hui ! Un très bon anniversaire à ce formidable record de la 7107 ! Et demain, ce sera le tour de la 9004...;-)
ce genre de record que l'on oubie jamais ....je l'ai vu a la televison la premiere fois en 1982 cette ligne droite des landes qui a servi a tant d'essais et qu'une partie de ma famille originaire des landes m'a tant parlé avant .....machines de legende ligne caracteristique avec ses catenaires en forme d'ogive l'un des plus beaux records de vitesse sur rail qui m'impressionne toujours autant 60 ans apres.......

А во Франции в 1967 году запустят регулярный скоростной поезд "Мистраль" с такими электровозами, который будет ездить с крейсерской скоростью 200 км/ч.

moroccan TGV max speed is just 320 km/h , still more slow than 1955 train hahhahahha
nabil abidi I think Moroccan TGV was tested up to 350 km/h and only during regular service it runs at 300 or 320 km/h.
