I much rather hear Colt talk than Jonah. I ended up having to fast forward through all of Jonah's segments because I got tired of hearing "awesome" and "in-sane".
If you run some straps through the windows, you could stand it on end and wear it as a backpack. Then you could carry it over the speed bumps it won't clear.
Colt, when you try to fit in that Kei van, you should play The Vapors "Turning Japanese". It will shrink your body enough so that you can fit inside. LOL
I love how you have all this goodwill and friends that are UA-camrs! Definitely some of the coolest channels out there for fabricating, rock crawling and recoveries. A great way to kickstart your channel in a positive direction. We are subscribed for sure!
I had an old mail jeep in high school and learning manual from the righ side of the vehicle came in handy later in life when a friend of mine who was missing his right arm wanted to play in my square body i could shift for him he bought a mid 70s K10 with a 292 and 3 on the tree and his brothers clocked the steering column so the shifter was straight up he could keep his arm on the wheel when he shifted he was so happy hed owned nothing but manuals till his farm accident and said he forgot how much more fun he had with a manual till he spent 13 years driving automatics his brothers said fabricating the shifter linkage and everything involved in clockiing the column was worth every headache and bump in the road to see the smile on his face when he came scooting out of the shop I noticed his depression wasn't as bad after he got that marked off his bucket list of freedom he wanted back
Made it all the way from Ireland to the Offroad Games and got to meet you. I just wanted to THANK YOU again for being an absolute gentleman and take a few minutes to talk to us, we really appreciated it. What a nice guy... looking forward to see where you'll take this channel to, we're in for the ride for sure! Cheers, Rami & Karen
The worlds smallest overland van home. Colt you missed your calling as a radio announcer/DJ. You were great. Looking forward to watching this and many other builds on your new channel. ps it was a pleasure to meet you at the Off Road Games.
Hey Colt, I really enjoyed this one! I sat here waiting for you to begin the verbal thrashing and was completely bewildered that it never happened!!! 2 thoughts: 1. As for the build of an Every, the suspension absolutely MUST go up a little bit...let's say between 4" & 6". Then slap on a set of eitherom Wolly Booger or Kenda Bear Claw ATV tires. Plus, you're gunna need at least a front and rear winch on it, and source an air locker for the front diff! Next: 2. This is actually more of an observation than anything. Every time you let us see you getting into that minibeast, it was bearing a very strong resemblance to a gorilla romancin' and then doin' the "nasty" with a football!!! 🤪😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤪 Please don't stop sharing your amazing content with us!!! This stuff really helps me get through the day!!!! It's always good for a few (a whole bunch) of really good, sorely needed belly laughs!!!!! Peace Brother
Fab shop I used to work for would get a lot of them little vehicles and lift them. We'd build and install 3-4" suspension blocks, add 4wheeler hub spacers, and 32" 4wheeler tires with wheels. Very simple and easy.
Yes, you did quite a good job announcing the Off Road Games. @MisAventureLab couldn't have choose a better person to evaluate the Every mini. Makes me want to get one. Thanks for the video.
Fit some sxs portals on it with the atv tires. It'll be a gear reduction as well so you won't have to modify the engine as much. Maybe a turbo or supercharger as well. A long travel suspension?
Most important mod is a quick release steering wheel 🤣 your gonna get stuck or break something lol. God forbid a rollover, you'd be up you know what creek without a paddle then
A slight lift, much better tires and a high-low transfer case. More suspension travel. Basically improve what it already is without losing the small and manuverable advantage it has.
I used to sell the mini trucks when I lived in Hill City. We lifted a couple of them and ran atv tires. They are a hoot drive and as you found out get around very well for that tiny of a vehicle.
Thank you Colt for test driving that mini van ! It may be little but it seems to have guts to do almost everything ! I'm looking forward to seeing what they might do with it !
This little thing is hilarious! It's downright cartoony! Oh and you're a natural emcee brother. Been watching the off road games/shenanigans and listening to you made it entertaining and informative. You did an AWESOME job. Keep up the keepin' up and as always, we're looking forward to the next episode. Cheers!
Whatever you guys decide to do with it, I hope it gets a Mystery Machine (Misadventurey Machine?) wrap because that side profile during the top speed test reminded me so much of the original.
That would be perfect to cruise around Baja in and go camping and to off road races. But I wouldn’t want to get in a wreck in it. Gonna be fun seeing you and Tucker squeezed into that thing.
Cole, that Van is Your’s! I Insist & will not take No for the Answer 😂😂, Trevor will give it to You just because that’s his Mentality, from My Seat in South Central Pennsylvania. Gotta get ready for Monday Grind, I’ll Catch You on the Next One. Keep It Safe Out There Sir
In Japan there’s companies that jimny swap it, similar to samurai , use the tcase and axles and a bit bigger skinny tires. But you’ll find your way with it no matter what you do. It’ll be cool.
So excited to see How "Colt builds it" this time. But i gotta say, 😂 Love it Drives the nose into a rock, gets out. "Considering this isn't my vehicle, I'm not gonna go further," Colt My Guy 🤘🤣🤣🤣 totally a smart move to stop, I had anxiety thinking how it will take that approach. Smart move, Very smrt
If 20-100 of my friends were going off to film shenanigans I would definitely want you to to be the announcer to explain to the cops that, well you see that there is testing his new rig's capability. You did great announcing the games and look forward to many future shenanigans in whatever form. Your ghost riding before was great too. This van definitely needs bluetooth steering.
@coltbuildsit Bro (Carl from Vegas here)…it was awesome to meet you at the Off-road Games and visit with you…and your Emcee duties were spot-on!! I vote you for the main Emcee for next year!! Also, next time you are in Vegas and need a spot for the camper…let me know. And the next time you need help converting KPH to MPH…give me a shout!
Hey Colt, you are off to a fantastic start for your channel, subbed. Your "Wuzzat?" on the dash appears to be part of a toll road transponder setup for paying tolls directly from a card, as opposed to our systems like EZ-Pass that require a pre-paid account. Interesting that it is branded Toyota, but not sure if this was purchased new or not - what I could see of the underbody looked mint though. Hope you are having fun at the Off-Road Games right now!
I had a 93 Ford Festiva in my early years. 12" tires, 5 speed. That was one of the funniest vehicles i ever owned. Jump a curb 20mph and would hardly feel it. Kept a 5ft 4x4 to used as a lever to push the car out of situations.
I had a 1990 Festiva! Loads of fun, and I took that thing places I certainly should not have! I wish they still made them! A very good cheap little cat!
Funny, I had a Festiva as well and we used to have so much fun in it, partly because when you pay less than 1k for car it’s easy to not worry about hurting it. I was surprised by the abuse it tolerated.
Good day, so nice to see you take this icon through it's paces, to solve the power issue you can use the Nissan A14 engine, it was a common substitute for the 1/2 loaf bus at the time it was released in South Africa in the early 90's
Colt Builds It + Misadventure Labs + Grind Hard Plumbing build the ultimate off road mini mini Van!!! Ethan and the guys from GHP have a lot of experience with building highly capable, very powerful micro rigs.... and I would love to see the videos from that! Thanks, Doc.
Back in the day Toyota made a van like that the motor was under the driver's seat left side. I bought 4 of them used for package delivery truck great parking down town great gas mileage too. The only downside so light 2 wheel drive couldn't drive in the snow safely!!✌️🇺🇲
We've run mini trucks for several yrs for hunting, you can do mild lifts and atv tires and it makes a big difference in its capabilities, but they are bad nose heavy, we've actually rolled a couple forward going down a hill.. whatever you do to it ,I'm sure it'll be cool..!!
New to the channel. It was awesome seeing you put this kei van to the test. I could watch videos like this all day. I seriously want to build an overland kei van. As for the best kei van, I don't think the Suzuki is it. Suzuki didn't offer this van with a rear locking dif or 4lo. The axle lock button is just an electronic switch that engages the front hubs much like manual locking hubs. The best kei van for off-road is the Mitsubishi Bravo, hands down. It's the only kei van to come with 4lo which is really something you don't want to go without. I have the truck version of this Suzuki van. Mine has an extra low gear but it doesn't compare to 4lo. You could swap a rear axle from a Suzuki Carry that has a rear locking dif and it would definitely make this a lot more capable. Check with G&R imports. They probably have one.
I can’t wait to see what you will do with it? It’s basically a mini forward control, i think you should make the seat slide back more first so you fit more comfortably 😂
I look forward to your build Colt. I grew up in Japan and while I live in the states now I'd still love to have a Kei truck or van. To answer the 3 questions your posed... 1) Most of the writing on the windshield is illegible and possibly just auction markings to identify the van. The bottom part says "kokomade!!" which could mean "to this point" or if you read a little between the lines it might mean "as cheap as this!!". The yellow character in the top left of the window is the kanji for "middle", but likely signifies "chukosha" or "used" (i.e. middle life of the car). 2) The writing on the key chain says "Every" in katakana 3) The thing on the dash with "ETC" on it, is Japan's version of fast track, or auto pay for toll roads (i.e. ETC = Electronic Toll Collection). The slot at the top is where you would stick in your "ETC credit card". Cheers!
That van is hilariously amazing. Colt you make anything look fun. Little tiny guy in a great big van, you put it through pretty good paces. Needs a little more clearance, bigger tires, should be interesting to see what you guys do with it. Love your channel, stopping by and teaching every where you go. You are doing amazing announcing games. Audio out in the field has not been great, your commentary is a saving grace. Wishing you much success, you are a natural entertainer.
A quick and dirty on the fly conversion from kph to mph I used to use was halve it and add 10. So 80 kph, half is 40, plus 10 gets you 50 mph. Close enough and faster than x 0.62 each time.
Nice review! Fixing the approach angle is going to be a challenge and putting American sized seats in it may be impossible but you actually got me excited about this little rig.
Sj chassis with 31” tyres under it . Mini monster truck . Loving your new channel Cold . Can’t wait to see what you start building . Regards Mart in the UK
All terrain tyres, some love n tlc to the engine and gearbox and you are good to go. A roll cage will be welcome but will upset the power to weight ratio.
The thing labeled Toyota is a card reader. I believe they're used for toll roads in Japan. You see them in basically every vehicle imported from Japan.
What could be hilarious is to build a pop-up cap for to put a bed in. It'd take the whole length of the van so you'd need a lean-to style with side entry of it was gonna work at all.
Soooo cooooool! I'm laughing so hard right now! :D The ETC thing puzzles me though.... Toyota?? Toll collecting system?? Hope someone from Japan can identify this device.
That tiny thing is nuts, in a good way. As a big guy vehicle, not many passengers are going to be able to ride up front unless they don't mind scrunched shoulders. The motor is going to need lots of help power wise for this to haul very many people around where you are at with all of the hills and mountains to pull. That little box can be loads of fun, even in town in stock form as a getter vehicle. Fuel mileage might be pretty good. Size makes it easy to cram in places too.
My first right hand drive with a manual experience: Audi rental car at the Dublin airport. Through Dublin, at rush hour, no sleep, lots of Red Bull. Haha!
That is an awesome little van. I am about the same size as you so it definitely could not be a daily driver but it sure would be fun to make into something cool.
That is actually a great little mini van. I agree with the atv tires and a touch of a lift and of course more flex in the suspension. Also adjust the front for a better approach angle.
Colt you’re a natural speaker. Enjoying your commentary on the Off Road games these past two days
Thank you!
I agree, I think you've done a great job at the Offroad Games. Plus I really enjoy all your videos. Keep on keep'in!!
I much rather hear Colt talk than Jonah. I ended up having to fast forward through all of Jonah's segments because I got tired of hearing "awesome" and "in-sane".
Great video Colt, heck you could even sleep in it
@@coltbuildsitpeople made same handle as you and are starting that telegram crap. Might wanna warn new subs. I reported them.
If it gets stuck on a hill, you can always pop it in your rucksack and run up it.
🎉🎉😂😂😂🎉🎉
Add straps to the roof and make it the rucksack 😅
If you run some straps through the windows, you could stand it on end and wear it as a backpack. Then you could carry it over the speed bumps it won't clear.
Colt, when you try to fit in that Kei van, you should play The Vapors "Turning Japanese". It will shrink your body enough so that you can fit inside. LOL
I am Japanese. Doesn't work for me.... 😁
how bout Nagasaki Nightmare" by Crass? or "1945" by Bad Religion?
That's funny 😂🤣
So glad you got your own channel...and not bleepin around..
Between you, Rory and Paul, yall the best
Thanks so much
This channel is legit. That boy colt workin with the best of the best on every episode.
It just shows you don't need 40" tires to have fun. You might have to go around some stuff but it will be certainly fun 😊
Great channel. Its cool to watch someone follow their heart and start a new direction in life 🤙
I love how you have all this goodwill and friends that are UA-camrs! Definitely some of the coolest channels out there for fabricating, rock crawling and recoveries. A great way to kickstart your channel in a positive direction. We are subscribed for sure!

Can not Wait to see what you're going to do with this and was great chatting with you and seeing you again down in Sand Hollow
Move the front seat to the middle and add a shaved ice machine for snow cones in the back.
That thing blows our '62 Econoline out of the water! Staying tuned to see where the build goes. Great meeting you at the off-road games today man!

That little four-wheel-drive van is cool
That would be perfect to cruise around Baja in and go camping and to off road races. But I wouldn’t want to get in a wreck in it. Gonna be fun seeing you and Tucker squeezed into that thing.
It would be a cool tiny overland van? Maybe just a mobile kitchen for events or overlanding groups?
Can't wait to see what you come up with for this little van! Thanks for sharing

side by side suspensions and tires and a funky paint job and u gat a hot-dog cart 😃

Make this the first ever 'first-aid-kit-on-wheels' to assist offroaders of all vehicles.
Well done young man!!

Subbed because of the Suzuki. Can't wait for the next video. You can grab a really nice truck for around $6,600 or a van for about $8,000.
colt , its a small city van , have you seen the size of the side streets in tokyo japan . its made for there narrow streets . it has its place .

Man some lockers would make. It awesome!
Colt you did a great job at the games, I am enjoying the heck out of your new channel. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! Will do!
Sj chassis with 31” tyres under it .
Mini monster truck .
Loving your new channel Cold .
Can’t wait to see what you start building .
Regards Mart in the UK
That’s funny getting in passenger side. I think that would be normal for us. Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Reminds me of the shenanigans i used to get up to it in the Glade
All terrain tyres, some love n tlc to the engine and gearbox and you are good to go.
A roll cage will be welcome but will upset the power to weight ratio.
Looks like fun, other than the tight drivers position. Wonder what it cost, delivered? Thanx !
Cool van!
in Australia they are called Suzuki Carry, we had the 850cc 2Stroke model
Love the channel so far! I can't imagine how many times you had to get in and out of that vehicle and how uncomfortable that was.
The thing labeled Toyota is a card reader. I believe they're used for toll roads in Japan. You see them in basically every vehicle imported from Japan.
A good all around on/off street legal vehicle would be my vote. BTW you're doin' a great job as the commentator for the off road games.
Colt awesome video. Keep up the great work. Love them.
What could be hilarious is to build a pop-up cap for to put a bed in. It'd take the whole length of the van so you'd need a lean-to style with side entry of it was gonna work at all.
Great video, can't wait to see what you do with it!
Colt you are one hell of a awesome man I love your channel. God bless you and your Family
Love the channel! At the end of each episode, you could say,"Colt built that."
Soooo cooooool! I'm laughing so hard right now! :D
The ETC thing puzzles me though.... Toyota?? Toll collecting system?? Hope someone from Japan can identify this device.
I think that could make a cool little overlander / camper
That tiny thing is nuts, in a good way.

Love your channel Colt :)
lol. Did that little minivan out do the new Tacoma😂?
fun video and look forward to the Transformatio.
go big
Can’t wait to see what this becomes 🤘
I can finally see Shiprock Rock., Awesome view Colt Builds It...😎
Super!, i loved those gutless wonders in Okinawa.
They are awesome!
What an.aw3some start your having with this channel. Keep up the fun...
The writing on the little key chain can only say 1 thing. Being that it's for the van. (LOVE YOU LONG TIME)
That is actually a great little mini van.
I agree with the atv tires and a touch of a lift and of course more flex in the suspension. Also adjust the front for a better approach angle.
Colt I am definitely looking forward to seeing what you guys turn that into
The ETC system is for toll highways in japan. Just did a bunch of work on a Jimny that had that thing in it
That reminds me of the first Subaru vans in the 60's. Cool video Colt.
