I recently saw a post in a local "stuck" FB page. They were only about a half hour from me so I left a comment, about 10 others commented and the lady said she was pm'ing one of them. Later on that guy was asking about her he never heard from her. So I messaged her, her husband, and some mutual friends of hers. Her friends said they go out there with their kids a bunch, so I loaded up in my 80series and went looking for them. After an hour of searching I found where it looked like they were stuck. I informed the rest of the group, and finally her husband messaged me back about midnight, saying she had gotten out. Dude, if you make a post, just go update the post and say you got out. It takes a minute. People don't care about anyone else today.
Shannon is a good addition to the channel. Her positive energy is a great thing . I agree if you call people for help you should either wait for them or at least call and tell them you got out so you don't waste their time
It blows me away someone will call for help, know you're on the way to help them, and then just ghost you when they get free. The selfishness with some people is unreal. Keep the pretty lady in the vids. It's a good mix with you two.
It's nice that you went to get/help someone out and they we're inconsiderate/disrespectful/courteous enough to call and thank you and let you know they got recovered. Kids nowadays sure don't have manners, I'm old enough to tell it like it is and don't care about their fealers or safe space, when it smells like it, call it.
The one time I got stuck bad enough to call an offroad recovery company, someone came by about 10 mins later and was able to get me out. As soon as I knew I was out I called the company back and offered to cover the time he spent coming out to help me, but he turned it down and said he was glad I got out. I have ADHD and forget just about everything regularly, and yet I still can't comprehend forgetting to call back the person coming from who knows how far to rescue you when you no longer need the assistance. Some people just can't spend even a second outside of their own perspective to consider how their actions/inaction affects the other people around them. 🤷
In northern Washington we call that Corn kernel snow. Late winter into early summer old snow. Particularly nasty stuff. The best can get stuck in 8 inches.
65 degrees boy were those the days not so long ago but now 110+ degrees in gilbert az on the south easterly outskirts of Phoenix today its time to head back up to the other house in lakeside/pinetop @ over 7,000ft elevation
Sorry you did not get to make the recovery, but I gotta say, the trails and the views were spectacular! Definitely would love to run thoughs trails in the summer!
Lovely area to do a bit of wheelin' whilst you look for someone who isn't there! By the looks of those toppled trees, that avalanche must have been massive!
I was with a buddy in his 80s bronco and turned onto this lower trail that had a lot deeper snow than it looked and sunk just like you did and he had to call another buddy to get us out. My buddy says "He's going to be mad if its an easy pull" so he gets in and lets it eat and buries it as much as possible LOL! little CJ5 on skinnies still pulled us out first try.
Colt I appreciate your approach to the videos you are doing. The variety keeps life interesting. I'm in Washington state so I may try to make it to Goldendale when you're out here for the event near there. Keep up the great work, looking forward to watching your channel grow.
Never understand why it's so hard to say I'm out thanks they got no problem calling for help. I'll say it it's rude buts thanks for the video brother and good luck with your channel I'm a subscriber
Yeah that's really bad man when people do that,it's very disrespectful. I see it happen to Matt Rory Robby. Got to see some cool stuff though. Thanks for the video bro.
Kevin? Glad to see your wife on the channel again, I was getting concerned since your move she hasn't been seen. She has such a great smile but poor choice on shoe selection for snow adventures!!😂
I've never seen any of the recovery guys get too pissed about being ghosted on a call as there are a million reasons why it happens and not all of them are malicious. If I was out in the sticks, with others I am responsible for, I would continue to work to get them to safety whether I made a call or not. If it worked out and I was able to get self-recover, I would make every attempt to contact the recovery team coming in but sometimes service isn't available for one or both ends of the call while in transit. That being said, I would follow up afterwards to explain the situation and work to resolve any outstanding fee there might be but in the moment, I'm not waiting around for many, many reasons!
Yep, that sucks. Should call you back. If someone walks through cold water, she is a keeper. Mind would made me put a jacket down..😅 still a beautiful video to see.
Love the videos. I just picked up a 2002 2500 siverado. It has a lift but the tires that are 35 look to small. This is really my 1st 4x4 what tires do you recommend? Also I am in Yuma Az next to glamis.
I have to say I think it's great when you guys include your wives or girlfriends in your activities off road, it must make a for a great relationship doing things together, bonus that they are easier on the eyes too :) :)
I used to belong to a 4x4 club when i lived up north that would come and rescue anyone for free .. the only catch was you had to join the club .. can you guess how i got into the club 😂😂 .. anyways i cant tell you how many times i got up at 2 or 3 am to go on a rescue with the club and the a$$hats would not be there when we got there .. very frustrating but i sure do miss wheeling with some of those fellers .. good on yall fer trying to help someone out
There’s a popular trail here in Alaska called Knik Glacier or Jim Creek, and people constantly get stuck out there. So much that there’s a whole Facebook page for them. Almost always they post that they are stuck, a bunch of people go try to recover them, and then the next day 50 people get back on the FB group asking if they made it out. Eventually they respond and say they made it out. 🤔😒
Well Colt, I’m wondering when your going to start the Pacer. I enjoy your video’s and your beautiful wife is a lot of fun on these drives, but it’s time for the Pacer! My thought is that you just jam i sierra Suzuki under the shell and make it wheel make it wheel hood!😂😂😂
Last time I found a old mine on BLM land I was able to find 3 oz of gold nuggets with a metal detector. Just think if that stamp mill was brought up the late 1800's or early 1900's it was done in peaces by wagons.
its not just there. I'm in southeast Texas, we've got a group S.O.R.T. Southeast texas Offroad Recovery Team i was active but gave up because no one ever posted recovered... many of us wasted our time trying to find them.
Never understood how people can be so inconsiderate as to call for free help, knowing that it’s going to take you time and money to do it, then not even tell you when they get out before you get there. It’s just rude.
I like the videos of the bad ass chevy truck I have 2 colorado zr2 s so watching your truck gets my imagination going , all though my trucks wont do what your s can do
Hi from New Zealand , Dude found you from bleepin through Morr, all the way to Layton Nation , You do fun stuff , and look , Just like Heavy D , you had a "dramatic" , "I shouldnt-adone-that" scene just like Heavy D does,, Bro , this time next year ,, I can see you on maybe 50k 'scribes.. hahaha dude ,,Casey Ladelle ,(I h8 that guy) drove all over lookin for a guy,,got others out on the way i think,,..bro anyway..good stuff..
It's sorta your fault, you hang out with all these off road recovery guys. Everyone assumes you'll just come along! And yeah, avalanches. Bare strips down the side of a mountain are either avalanche areas or ski runs lol. Don't camp in those areas in the winter...
Its just wrong that they wouldnt call you immediately and say hey I already got out. There should still be a nominal fee to at least cover your expenses if only Gas at the very least.
Sounds like maybe a deposit paid in advance just for mobilization costs would be a good idea. At least you get paid for your time and gas expenses if the person 'ghosts' you.
Got to say im pretty sure i would have made a call to let a recovery team know i made it out of the spot before I started watching recovery videos on the UA-cam.... But know im sure i will and i will also make it a point to let others know its the thing to do...
Like everyone else has said, Shannon is a great addition to your videos. She's much more pleasant to look at than you. I'm not saying your not a handsome man Colt,,,,,,, well, it actually is what I'm saying. 😆
Isn't it nice when they can't tell you where they are? -OR- isn't nice when they get out and don't bother telling ya, after they called ya? (a couple of words come to mind)
It’s always a disappointing hassle when that happens.
You guys did that too ,,Down by the lake i think ,,,pulled out others,,b4 the Morrvair days,,

Shannon definitely a great addition to the channel! lol married up like me
Shannon is a good addition to the channel. Her positive energy is a great thing .

Or fuel.

I like the addition of Shannon. Great energy and she seems like a hoot to be around. 👍🏼Great drone shots, too.

Kids nowadays sure don't have manners, I'm old enough to tell it like it is and don't care about their fealers or safe space, when it smells like it, call it.
Thank you Colt for the adventure and seeing some beautiful scenery especially the old mine site !
Your drone adds great perspective, and Shannon just adds. --- Excellent editing. ---
You are a more patient man than I. I would be fuming.
Love La Plata Canyon. My grandfather was a miner and met his end by a claim jumper in the 1930's. Very familiar country. Thanks for the memories!
It’s nice to see you on Camera Shannon!

...that water is painfully cold.....the woman is a tuff one ❤️
The area expert getting more knowledge on new trails for when matt comes over
Thanks for the beautiful scenery colt
Good to see Shannon again.
Thanks for bringing us along! Ride on!
In northern Washington we call that Corn kernel snow. Late winter into early summer old snow. Particularly nasty stuff. The best can get stuck in 8 inches.
Love your channel, love the driveway builds, just a down to earth and real. Thank you
I’d let her dent it …rare to have your spouse and family into your off road…wish I had that…great joke! You guys rock! Love watching the channel.
I'm one of those who can also just enjoy an exploratory drive through the wilderness and there was even an abandoned mining operation to be seen. 😊
Colt, you're one of the smartest and funniest guys on YT . Shannon is adorable. Hope to see more of your friends in your new place.
I hope so too!
Cool video. Great camera work, the scenery was amazing. Thanks for taking us along!
Glad you enjoyed it

Love the mountains , great drone shots . self centered people they probably don't use their blinkers either !!!
What an awesome day!

I really enjoy your videos, Congrats on your channel!
Thank you so much!
Great scenery. Thanks for another nice video. 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
@@coltbuildsit You bet.
Great channel, love these four wheeling videos. Did you do a video of your S-10 build? Yep no tougher people than the old miners.
Never understand why it's so hard to say I'm out thanks they got no problem calling for help. I'll say it it's rude buts thanks for the video brother and good luck with your channel I'm a subscriber
wow it's 100 degrees here in Albuquerque, some pretty trails.
Those clouds.
Amazing
Very awesome content, worth the hassle for sure. Laplata canyon is a magical place 365 days a year. Can't even imagine how the miners survived!!
Love Monticello and Blanding trails , trail 1 goes all the way hook and Ladder to Arch Canyon .
All that to say the S10 is getting new axles 🤦🏻. Beautiful scenery and awesome video.
Yeah that's really bad man when people do that,it's very disrespectful. I see it happen to Matt Rory Robby. Got to see some cool stuff though. Thanks for the video bro.

#COLT.... Damn auto spell
Snow recoveries can get complicated fast!
Monticello is such a beautiful place to explore!
To build they probably cut the Trees around them and used them for the cabin!
Colt I can't 🤐. When is rebuild time🤷🏻♀️⏰, or did i misunderstand OnX. You guys are a gorgeous couple really got in shape 💪🏼! S10 love❣️ Donna
Great to see your wife on the channel.

Colt - why dont you pad your rollbars/cage? Especially around the head. It looks really close. Just curious. Thanks.
Yep, that sucks. Should call you back. If someone walks through cold water, she is a keeper. Mind would made me put a jacket down..😅 still a beautiful video to see.
Man i have 7 videos to catch up on. Been busy but ill watch theme all hit the 👍🏽

Beautiful area
It really is!
Good stuff!
It look like a good ride.
Like you said, you did get to see some pretty country you wouldn't have otherwise.

Nice to see the scenery, better video quality if you can, please

hahaha dude ,,Casey Ladelle ,(I h8 that guy) drove all over lookin for a guy,,got others out on the way i think,,..bro anyway..good stuff..
the right thing would have been for him to call or text you and let you know that he got out
a pretty cool drive though.......
Y'all should still receive a partial payment for driving many miles to recover that vehicle
Ya that would absolutely piss me off. But thats what Matt and Rory charge that fee so if that does happen there still getting paid for there time
It's sorta your fault, you hang out with all these off road recovery guys. Everyone assumes you'll just come along!
And yeah, avalanches. Bare strips down the side of a mountain are either avalanche areas or ski runs lol. Don't camp in those areas in the winter...
Side by Sides aren’t allowed on that road!
I thought you moved to New Mexico
That there gale's gorgeous as frog hair
Next time try high lock i bet you will get further
Its just wrong that they wouldnt call you immediately and say hey I already got out.
There should still be a nominal fee to at least cover your expenses if only Gas at the very least.
A lot of people always put there trucks in low lock I would us high you get better speed with high lock
If your going to get skunked, at least it was a beautiful area and you did get a video out of it.
Nice ride along the scenery was great. You should post the inconsiderate person name
so others know of his all about me attitude .
Love the Vid's!!! You just need as they say....A better class of friends. Ha Ha Ha But it made for a good Vid, all is not lost.
#colt great video. if you are in the monticello area and need any assistance in the future let me know would be happy to help. Cheers.
4:35 Those look like water proof snow sandals. She could just walk across the water.
Hehehe, nice!
