Already living in the UK, just wanted to say how spot on this advice is. Also in terms of what you chose to prioritize, these are great things for people to know in advance!
Would love to hear more about your travel process (airlines/boat routes, etc.) with pets. I know it’s been a few years since you’ve gone but it would give me a starting place for research. We are looking at moving with our cats early next year and I’m super stressed about the logistics! Definitely don’t want them in the cargo hold 🥲 Thank you for sharing all this insight!
If you can avoid it at all, don’t put them in the cargo hold! I did that once and I’ll never do it again. I actually am working on a “ultimate guide” to bringing your cat and dog over, I just need to finish filming and editing it. Hopefully I can get it up in the next couple of weeks!
Hi Peter - thanks for this. Yes, I think a UK Costco vid would be great. I'm still a little bit fuzzy on the phone stuff. This is what my plan is. I'm going to Scotland in April and plan to buy a new Samsung phone in the UK. to use once I move. I'm due for an upgrade anyway. Plan on buying it outright, so there is no plan attached. I may just use it as pay as you go, so that I can activate a UK number and get WhatsApp (which I use on my current phone for calling the UK). I think it would be helpful to have a UK number since I am in the market to buy a house or flat. I understand what you said about Google Voice and porting my current number, but can that be ported to the new phone? And if so, do I do that here in US, or wait until I'm in the UK. I'm not sure how I keep my existing service since I will want to cancel T-mobile once I port (and move). I know my friend has done something like that and she may have 2 SIM cards, either hard or soft, but I've never used it. And I don't wan't to lose 2FA - at least until I close my US accounts - or most of them anyway. I think I've talked your ear off enough. Thanks, Peter!
Google voice is an app and not tied to a specific phone service. You don’t even need a phone to access it for texting, you can do it on the browser on your computer! Just make sure that your google account itself doesn’t have 2FA on it so you don’t have problems logging in when you’re here. Once your T-Mobile is cancelled you can buy an eSIM in the states for data service (or just get any other sim as a temporary measure) and then when you move over get an eSIM or physical sim for a UK phone number.
Hi I love the channel. I am thinking about moving to Edinburgh from the USA. I am 62 and a casino worker. Am I crazy at my age to think of moving there?? My family thinks so. I am just a average joe with a average salary. Can someone like me make it there?
Thank you! As far as making it here, it is easier considering cost of living is much cheaper (of course lifestyle is generally different here as well). However, your issue would be getting here in the first place, as visas can unfortunately be hard to get and expensive. Off the top of my head I highly doubt you would be able to get a visa based on a casino job; casinos here are vastly different than what they are in the states as well lol. There are different types of visas available but the vast majority would be either a work visa or a student visa.
Why are people like you, who have loads of advice, do not do well in subscriptions? Blows my mind. There are loads of small channels I am subscribed to, as I believe they need more help than those with 100k or 1m+ subs. If the content is logical and to the point, then channels like yours should be doing much better than those that just play games or react to other peoples content.
Thank you! Part of it is that I haven’t been able to consistently post videos for a long time so hopefully that will improve as time goes on. But you never know what will happen with the UA-cam algorithm 😂
Peter, I'd love you to a Costco UK video! Cheers mate
Next time I go to Costco I’ll try to film one!

Yeah, legit would watch a Costco visit. Especially to scope out the electronics and pet food options.

@@peterkonradort fantastic - just what I need!! Thank you so much. I’ll be on the look out for it.
great video - very useful (not that I will be emigrating from the US to UK as I'm already here!)
Thank you!
Thank you
I thought you were heading for some trouble at 4.42 :D
I was ready to bolt if needed 😂😂😂
