      But he doesn’t use the vcore pro 97 so it wouldn’t make sense to have an autograph like the RF 97 which is what Fed actually uses.

    This racquet is perfect for my game as a Serve&Volley player. It gives U great punch at groundstrokes and good feel at the net. I get so much punch behind my volleys like never before.
    It comfortable and soft in feel, but U have to prepare your strokes early to get out the hole power of the racquet with a long swing.
    Best racquet beside my beloved Dunlop Max 200g I ever played with.

    Thanks Ive been waiting for this vid. Quick question please. I'm currently hitting with the vcore 97 pro 330g the previous version. Do you think there's enough difference for the upgrade to newest version?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  5 років тому +3

      There is a slightly more dampened feel, and a bit more comfort with this update. It is not a huge difference, and I find that I can easily switch over to this version, from the previous model. The new cosmetic is pretty awesome as well. Give it a try! Troy, TW

    Could you explain to me the main differences between the 2019 version and the previous version of this racket? If it's nothing other than the dampening and the paint job, a vibration dampener on the old version should do the trick, correct?

    Hi troy did you feel that this racquet is harder to swing than the 2018 version? The twistweight weight on this one is 14.8 vs 14.2 on the 2018 one, lmk your thoughts, thanks

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  7 місяців тому

      It has been a while since I have hit with this version (the dark green and gold cosmetic), however initially I recall it was a bit more difficult to whip around or maneuver. I think it was more based on swingweight than anything else, as one of the test racquets I believe was in the upper 330 range (strung with a poly) if I recall correctly it was like 337 0r 338 swingweight. After we finished testing the racquets, I remember hitting with one of these green/gold cosmetic racquets, with a bit lower swingweight closer to 330 and I thought that it swung closer to what I recall from the Navy/Orange cosmetic, which our test racquet was close to 330 strung with a poly. So basically with the specs being close or matched then I don't think there was a significant difference in maneuverability between the two generations of the 97 330. Also hard to say I can make a claim, that one generation felt easier to maneuver than the other, as the swingweight specs can vary within a batch of racquets. Hope that helps, Troy, TW

    @tenniswarehouse. Thanks for the reviews and insights. you guys are awesome!! I had a question for Michelle and Troy. My game is similar to yours. I am an aggressive baseliner. I recently purchased the new Yonex Vcore pro 330 and strung it up with Yonex poly tour pro at 57. Great feel and comfort from the string. Is there any other string that plays similar to yonex poly tour pro in the feel and comfort department?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  5 років тому

      The feel, and comfort is really good, and somewhat unique with Poly Tour Pro. Michelle's current favorite string is Tecnifibre Ice Code, and mine is Solinco Hyper-G, both of which are bit more firm and control oriented. As far as more comfortable options go, I have enjoyed playing with Kirschbaum Pro Line II, RS Lyon, and Tourna Grit. That said if you like Poly Tour Pro you may just want to stick with it...Troy, TW

      @@tenniswarehouse I see that the maneuverability scores were a tad lower for this version compared to the 2018 version. Chris had a comment on that too and there is very slight difference in swing weight. Is this racquet little less maneuverable compared to the 2018 version or were the scores just bumped in the previous version as you were comparing it with the duel G and different people were playtesting?

    How is the spin potential on this one? And how is the stability in the upper hoop area(I heard people complaining about weird flex in the upper hoop with the previous version)? Also, since Yonex handles aren't flared at the bottom, would you recommend me going for a bigger grip size? Love Yonex rackets but the grip shape has always felt awkward to me.

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  5 років тому +2

      Spin is great with its 16x19 pattern. The only complaint when it comes to spin, is for those players who find this racquet a bit difficult to maneuver, thus reducing racquet head speeds. Stability is good, and feels solid on contact. I wouldn't go with a larger grip size, as some people find the Yonex grips to run slightly large. You might want to add some flare to the butt cap, by wrapping an overgrip a couple of times at the start of the handle. Troy, TW

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  3 роки тому +1

      There is the slightly lighter version of the 97HD 18x20, although the string pattern will be a bit more dense, however it does maneuver a bit easier, and is more flexible. You might also want to consider racquets like the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v7, or Dunlop CX 200 Tour 16x19 (with maybe some slight weight customization). Also racquets in the Prince Phantom line are super comfortable, such as the Phantom 97P, or 100X 305. I would also consider the ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315. Troy, TW

    Which one is better HD or 330?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  3 роки тому

      Hard to say which one is better. The HD has been very popular since its release, as it is slightly easier to swing for most players, and it is also more flexible than the 330 making very smooth and comfortable on contact. That said, for those who don't find the weight, and swingweight of the 330 too demanding, it can help to generate a very heavy ball, and is a bit more spin friendly with the 16x19 string pattern. So if maneuverability is not an issue with either racquet, then the 330 packs a bit more punch and spin. Hope that helps. Troy, TW

      This 330 version should work for you. It is hard to say without knowing the swingweight, but based on locations of added weight on your PS97 315, it should be manageable.
