Most of us already know the stories of the famous house on Ocean Avenue, in Amityville, New York. I can't even count how many movies, sequels, reboots and documentaries have been made about the Amityville Horror. If you travel around Long Island, you'll have a hard time finding anyone not already familiar with names like Ronald DeFeo Jr., or George and Kathy Lutz... Is the house really haunted? If not, then how do you explain what really happened there in November of 1974?
About a two hour drive away from the town of Amityville, NY, is New York City - home to Doc Sasko (a.k.a. Doctor S, or Dr. S). Doc is versatile magician who performs everything from kids' magic, to danger magic, to hypnosis, to mental-ism, and so much more. While Doc might not be one of the Ghostbusters, I was still curious about what he'd get from standing outside the legendary house in Amityville and attempting to make contact any ghosts, spirits, etc, he could communicate with. Doc agreed to make such a trip and try three different paranormal experiments. So please take a look at this video and see what happens.

@@Joelikesmoviesnstuff I love the original Amityville movie and several sequels.....I think the Lutz story true or not makes for a good horror movie...yes may feel the story is fake but I say so what I mean you have many writers like Stephen King who make up stories sell books and everyone is fine with that...then you have hollywod for well over 100 plus years making up stories for TV shows and movies and people are fine with that... yet they complain the Lutz family made up their story and it was wrong.........bunch of hypocritcs if you ask me.............
then you have the REAL story of the Defeo Family who were killed by their oldest son...and that is where I believe many people feel the home is haunted....even if home owners after the Lutz family say their home is not haunted.. if the home is truely haunted just how many people are going to admit their home is haunted and have media or curious ghost fans camping on their front lawn....no they will keep quiet because they do not want to be bothered....no matter where the haunted home is. just my opinion.
@@patrickperalta59 Sure, a lot of horror movies are very loosely based on true stories but extremely exaggerated. For example, you brought up Stephen King (who, of course, I love). Did you know that many details of Pet Sematary are inspired by Stephen King's real life?
By the way, what is your favorite Amityville Horror movie? Mine is probably 1982's Amityville II: The Possession. And while I'm generally not a fan of re-boots, I didn't think the 2005 movie with Ryan Reynolds was so bad.
@@Joelikesmoviesnstuff I did read Stephen Kings "The Shinning" book it was very good. I have not read any of his other books mainly do to I'm more interested in Fantasy stories like Dragons and Knights.. my favorite series of Books are the Dragonlance books I've read the first 6 books and others....also enjoy "The Wheel of Time Series"....out of the Amityville movies my favorites are the original movie and Amityville II: The Possession which is loosely based on the Defeo Family who died a year before the Lutz Family moved into the home. I also like AmityVille 3 "the Demon" and Amityville "It's About time" and Doll House.
Speaking of the Shinning I live about a hour from The Stanley Hotel in Estes park Colorado..... Stephen King stayed at that gave him the idea for ""The Shinning"

That's really cool that you live near the hotel which inspired the Shining. Have you ever been to it, or you just know that's it's close to you?
Great video Joe!!! I love the spooky location as after all these years the house still emanates a spiritual power. This video is timely for the season and leaves you wanting more. I think you should return one day perhaps on Halloween for another visit into the beyond.

I still need to watch this week's episode of Stargirl. But based on what I saw in the previous episode, my gut tells me that Cindy is not the killer - the writers and producers are misleading us. But that's just a guess.

@@Bob78550 Thanks for refreshing my memory. It appears I never actually said I would make such a video, I just considered the idea. Please understand: a lot of people leave comments suggesting I do all kinds of things for videos. And while I do appreciate all the views / support, and I'm always open to reading suggestions, I can't make a video for each one. I put a lot of time into editing these videos. UA-cam is just a side hobby for me. I'll likely make another Stargirl video at some point, but I'm not promising anything.
