Thank you both! I Valuable and useful information! I have had partial bowel obstruction/ SIBO/ IBS for 29 years. No one ever talked to me about ileocecal valve! I just found out about it a week ago! It’s empowering to know it’s something I can do at home.

Have you found any typical root causes of ICV issues?

I had my ICV removed. This operation is performed on thousands (crohn’s, cancer, illeus). Some have problems and others have no problems at all. What are your thoughts about it? Is complete gut health still possible?

Wow! Thank you for sharing! It goes to show you that our bodies have multiple checkpoints or safeguards in place, so the lack or failure of one does not guarantee dysfunction. Using the example of the IC valve and SIBO prevention, maybe those lucky folks without issue have amazing stomach acid levels, bile output, MMC function, and/or vagus nerve function? Makes you wonder, certainly. What a fun thought experiment!

Triangle Holistic Gut Health thank you for your kind response! Do you treat the people who had ICV resection with the same treatment plan, do you have any tipps? I had SIBO before resection and think I still have it. I sometimes feel lost and just want to die. They don‘t reconstruct the valve and noone seems to know about SIBO well enough here in switzerland .. :(
