Our family’s catching a flight from our part-time home in the Philippines to the opposite side of Asia, touching down in the city and emirate of Dubai. Even though this is our first time in the UAE, we’re bypassing the obvious tourist traps in search of some Arabian adventure that’s more off the beaten path. So we’re about to explore Dubai by sea… by air… and by land. And for the first time in a long time, we’re traveling with a carry-on suitcase - but only for a very special reason. @sterlingpacific

ABOUT US
We’re the Lockwoods. And we’re traveling the world to experience-up close and in person-all the natural wonders and distinct cultures that our kids would otherwise be consuming only through textbooks and TV. We think it’s a better way to learn and we’re working hard to fund this little experiment in the hope that our kids will grow up wiser, kinder, and more grateful for the beauty of our diverse planet and its people.
I dont know but I just love this family so much. I'm a filipino residing in Canada right now and i miss the Philippines so much. Their videos made me feel like I'm back in the Philippines. Theres so raw and real. I dont even skip the ads as I want them to keep travelling and make videos! Love it! 😍😍😍😍
This warms our hearts so much! 🫶🫶🫶🤗

qez,
This is probably the most luxurious blog I've ever watched.
🤩🤩🤩
I can't help but notice -- Erin Lockwood has a striking resemblance to Leslie Mann, (the younger version.😊)
That’s the first time I’ve gotten that 😊
Nice like
Welcome to abu dhabi, im sure all of u will love it... Im here now in the Phil. but i work in abu dhabi for a long time as a nurse, now im retired.enjoy & have fun. ❤️
We loved Abu Dhabi! ❤️ that episode is next 👍🏻
I really liked your Dubai vlog, was very nice, reminds me of the travel I have done there. In general, i love all your travel videos, the best family youtubers on youtube. Next time there are awards for best travel vloggers, you got my vote. I am looking forward to your next set of vlogs.
Thanks a ton! So happy you liked it 🤗
How was Cebu Pacific Manila to Dubai? Its a low cost airline but I think it serves its purpose. We also got a good deal for a family of 5. Set my expectations and it was a good flight---on time, comfortable seats, with electricty plug for gadgets( I downloaded movies from Netflix), we pre ordered our meals and food was good. After 8 hours we are in Dubai on time! Cebu Pacific gets you to where you want to be at a fraction of a cost compared to legacy airlines. (not sponsored) just stating our experience for future travellers.
We have mixed feelings about the Cebu Pacific flight. The price was unbeatable! But our seats didn't recline and it was an overnight flight so sleeping was really uncomfortable. I wish I knew better to order our meals in advance. I wasn't prepared to have to pay for coffee, water, snacks, etc.
@@AlwaysBeChanging wooow, I’m sorry. Sounds rough. Thank you for the information, very helpful. Although the price is great, might be better to opt for another airline
Silent follower here. Love your videos. Thank you so much!
Lucky for us, not too silent 🤗 Thank you for your support!
Great video. Thank you for the great scenery and beautiful family video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it 🤗 we had fun making it.
This is absolutely not the typical Dubai itinerary which makes your vlog concept of “air, sea & land” uniquely spectacular. It’s so refreshing to see and experience Dubai from those 3 vantage points. P.S. Your hot air balloon landing was definitely impactful - literally and figuratively. 😅
Melanie, you are the absolute best! Thank you for being so helpful for this entire trip. Can’t wait for our Antarctica cruise with you! 🤗🫶
DUBAI has many filipinos too. and Arabic people love filipinos there. Filipinos play a huge workforce for their economy and market.
We met so many wonderful and kind people there and many were Filipinos. 🫶
I hope Cole takes non-drowsy Dramamine! I also get very motion sick on boats, but LOVE them. Love your family and your videos, thanks for taking us along on all your adventures!
Thanks! 😊 we should be better about traveling with it but he usually never cares because he’s just so excited about whatever activity we’re doing 🤗
Oh so great, so beautiful places in Dubai, I love for being adventures your family keep it More more country It can still be visited, and it can be shown in blogging ❤❤
Thank you, ate! 🫶🏼🤗❤️🙏🏼
That was epic. Especially the "Dune Bashing". And doing it in a Land Cruiser....literally the best vehicle to do it in.
One thing you missed in Dubai was trying the local Jollibee. They have menu items that are unique to Dubai like the Chicken biryani and from what my friends in Dubai told me... it's really good.
Glad you enjoyed it! We had the best time there. We’ll have to hit up Jollibee next time but I don’t think we saw any while we were there.
LOVE the new suitcase!! Worth the investment!
It is the nice suitcase we've ever encountered. Luggage goals for sure!
Great video!! Poor Cole did not look like he was going to make it to the end of the Dune Bashing without hurling. I recently saw a bit of a vid where falcons were being trained for a race in Bahrain. They are magnificent birds. The purse for the race was quite substantial too.
Oh wow, I bet. We learned that the falcons are worth tens of thousands of dollars.
@@AlwaysBeChanging Yes, and they are very well cared for.
Great video guys, its like watching a tv series with you guys, had to laugh when Brooklyn diverted you guys back to the Cat idea, seems like she is hell bent on having a cat, will be fun watching how the CatGate turns out
Thanks 🤗 so happy you liked it!
I felt the adrenaline when the guy told you to hop into the basket of the air balloon 😂 🎈
I know 🤯 it was suddenly urgent ‼️
I ❤ UAE! I took my then 18 year old son on his Spring break in 2016. He said that was his Best travel destination ever. We did the camel ride, desert sand dunes ride and visited a nomadic tent 😊
You should go to Groome,Turkey. They're experts there with tons of hot air balloons with soft landings on a trailer then top it off with a glass of champagne 🥂🍾😍
I think a turkey has the ultimate hot air balloon experience there. That’s on our list of things to do 🤗
Nice like
That’s genuinely one of the nicest suitcases I’ve ever seen. Dare I say, it looks even nicer than its Rimowa counterpart
💯 it’s the most beautiful suitcase we’ve ever seen.
Omg! So beautiful experience! My plan next year will do skydiving in Dubai on my 50th bday!
That will be epic! 🤩
Looks like a great place to go, my bucket list destination!
Erin I love your turquoise dress, where did you get this???
Thanks! I'm so glad you asked. My friends own my favorite boutique store in Denver, www.juneruby.com She is coming out with her own line of cover ups soon and I'm so excited to start showing them!
Love all your videos ❤
Thank you so much. That makes us happy!
Always take care in all of your traveling.wish to meet you all in person.
Thank you so so much 🤗
i'm more of an underwater guy thats why i stick to scuba diving but i promised myself i would only try sky diving over Palm Jumeira so it's on the bucket list... one day!
See ya there 😜
Congratulations to you guys lovely family to takes a amazing “Balloon Air Rides” today’s in Dubai city with other tourists in the Middle East April of 2024❤❤❤
😊
Super cool video guys! Dubai is on our Bucket List soon! My wife wants to do the hot air balloon ride for sure! Our old boss is a front office director at the Atlantis The Royal so we definitely want to stay there! Tell Colt I was the same way with motion sickness for air planes, car rides etc when I was his age, but it gets better and goes away a few years later! That suitcase looks super cool and you're right we go through many suitcases in the past 18 years of traveling so good investment there! Have fun and safe travels!
Atlantis will be incredible. And the hot air balloon is a must. I bet it would be most enjoyable without the haze and humidity.
I passed by Dubai en route to the Philippines. My sister booked dinner for me and my husband at the QE2. I couldn't resist going there after finding out it was retired and docked in Dubai. I first knew about the QE2 from Lindsay Lohan's The Parent Trap. It was still very elegant inside and out. ❤
Welcome to Dubai city,UAE this week in great joy & peace April of 2024❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys for more new videos to come up soon in 2024❤❤❤
Thank you for welcoming us 🤗
It would have been really funny if falcon crapped on Colt's head. 😆 Those kids make the vlogs more entertaining. 😁
Haha 😆 I think we had him for a sec
Awesome video! Which sling bag and size is that. Looks great
Thank you!
I have the largest version of this sling: followabc.com/stuff-we-love/pgytech-onemo-sling-camera-bag
@@AlwaysBeChanging Thanks!!
Great video ❤🇵🇭
Great tour.
Glad you enjoyed it 🤗
Well chosen activities!
Thanks!
That suitcase wants to be stuffed with eighty million dollars and rolled out of a Terry Benedict casino. I'll concede it's a thing of beauty.
Good video.
Haha 💯 and plus points for an Ocean’s 11 reference.
Wow i always traveling because i am OFW. And that laggage bag i think much stronger and much safer to carry.
It’s a beast. So pretty and indestructible
Congratulations to you guys lovely family to heads from Manila, The Philippines to Dubai city,UAE this week to rides a remarkable hot air balloon with other tourists in 2024❤❤❤
That's fantastic! You're going to have a great time 😊
Like the luggage looks durable and easy wheeling.
The suitcase is pretty much 100 all around!
Can you make a cebu pacific Manila to Dubai Honest Review?
Here’s the short version… It was about 10 hours in firm economy seating, with very narrow armrests, and no reclining whatsoever. It was, in all honesty, the most uncomfortable flight I have ever taken in my life. Don’t recommend.-Phil
Amazing family 😊😊😊😊
Thank you 😊 you're too kind
Google hasn’t failed me anywhere in the world when searching for my flight info - I just enter flight number and voilà!!! 😅
Awesome :)
I really wanna go there in Dubai 🤗 enjoy and be safe 😂♥️🙏
It's a great place to see!
My Bucket list !😎 Lots of filipinos there too 🤣 Be forewarned though !! I've had bad experiences with Cebu Air Pacific . Lots of people have even though there's tons of promos .
This is spot on for our experience. The prices were fantastic but the most uncomfortable flight we’ve ever taken. Plus, they nickel and dime you for everything once you buy the tickets.
@@AlwaysBeChanging Yes! And there's delays to cancellations that can really get to you !
How much was the airboat ride? Looks fun?
We paid for everything as a package so I’m not sure how much the boat ride was on its own. You should contact Vicky 😊 her contact information is in the description.
Nice like and I am from indonesia country always very like
So happy you like it! Thanks for watching from Indonesia
@@AlwaysBeChanging if you like my friend
Happy Trip 🫶
Thanks! 😃
@@AlwaysBeChanging your welcome
Phil.....what's your AFSC in the Air Force?
Been so long I don't know the code itself but I was a crew chief on 130s (ECs and MCs) at DM (Tucson) and Kirkland (Albuquerque). Were you USAF?
@@AlwaysBeChanging was a CE guy in the AF back in the day
Hey there I’m Eric and your kids are so cute 🥰
Thanks 😊
Dubai seem very clean city right ?
Yes 😊
Lol what better than travel to Indonesia Bali and around , than to Dubai full of skycrapers and very dry scenes.
I want that luggage better than Rimowa!
Better than anything else we've ever seen!
cool..
🤗
I prefer Grab when in Philippines as well! Wooooooaaahhhh, that is CHEAP!! Enjoy!!!
Thanks! Grab has been fantastic and so fast
Bloopers 😂😂😂
USA=Zionist country!
LOL 😅😅😅
❤
🤗
Love this vlog, ABC back in touring the world.
Another thing I love. Phil using KILOMETER 😅 sorry americans
haha! We are traveling the American out of us 😅. Getting more and more used to meters vs feet
❤❤❤
🤗🤗🤗
Have you noticed the number of Filipinos in Dubai? :D
We were lucky to meet some of them 🤗
beautiful suitcase but damn $2000
💯 it’s a piece of art
2:33 wow thats a very sexy luggage
💯!! It’s almost too nice to use. It’s beautiful to just look at. Not sure we’ve seen any suitcase made this well.
2000 USD with only 2 wheels…please.
What would you say is a reasonable per-wheel max cost? 😄
buy your gold chains and things in dubai not in the Philippines
👍🏻
So majority of the workers in dubai are filipinos and Indians, where are the arab citizens? 😂
Those are too damn lazy to work!
UAE citizens have a pretty sweet setup! I would venture that most have jobs and many of those are provided by the government. Not only do they not pay any taxes, but they get paid by the government just for being citizens. And most of their living expenses, from housing to health, are paid for. This is why you really cannot become a UAE citizen if you aren't born one!
@@AlwaysBeChanging wow! Awesome! So lucky to be born as uae citizens then!
