+GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa highlights for me were the Royal residence at Doi Tung, at about 5300 feet the views are stunning, the golden triangle overlooking the borders of three countries, visiting the hill tribes with the long-neck ladies, and the beautiful tea plantations. we were only there for three days, but it was well worth the flight up from Bangkok (12 hours on a bus, or 1 hour 15 minutes on a plane)
What an awesome place to go and visit! I'd love to try the lantern lit cave experience. Oh and I think those are Enoki mushrooms, I love them as well :D
Hi Christine! hope you are feeling better! Just wondering, are you a vegetarian ? I noticed you are asking for typical food without meat..or is it a precaution because you were sick recently ?
+Jessica Da Silva Thank you! I';m vegetarian. in limited situations and in Asia, I'll resort to seafood b/c fish/ oyster /shrimp paste sauce is everywhere, but I prefer just straight veggie. However, my stomach still cramped and bloated (this was 5 days later) wth every meal. So I had to reintroduce/regrow good bacteria to help aid my stomach's digestion. When you';re sick the last thing you want to do is have your stomach process much b/c all your body';s energy goes into complex digestion vs healing.
+William Ngo I'm glad! Hard decision to choose of whether I wanted to show parts of my behind the scenes journey or just hit a countdown. Seeing as I had to research logistics, I thought I'd throw in breadcrumbs for other travelers. ;)
+THEdaveyorke haha Thanks for hanging around. Consider these notes for your move to Korea. It's likely you'll be using your hard earned money to travel to these neighboring countries. That's what many expats do. ;)
I love that you travel on your own. Watching your guide climb through those tunnels in the cave made me a little anxious..if I did that, I'd probably get stuck haha. Thanks for sharing :D
+Alissandra Thanks for sharing the journey with me. That guide made me nervous too. I didn't think I'd fit through that hole without crawling through it.
Great vlog..lots of info.im back home..so will be looking back on your vlogs to plan my next trip..keep up the great work and thanks for the shout out..stay safe
Another great video on things to do in Thailand! Thanks for sharing this with us. So that is the infamous food that possibly made you sick, eh. So good that you are over that!
+Jay Dollarhide This was day #5 since I got sick. The food that made me sick was either a bad Chinese buffet from a budget tour or a street cafe morning glories dish. Both were veggies and what came up on the first day was veggies.
hello christine kaaloa....you are so pretty.....have you been featured on KBS broadcast by the way?!? because, just 1 hour ago, I watched this video ua-cam.com/video/Vv4yozysjDk/v-deo.html&app=desktop and at 14:40, I was surprised to see you coincidently....

Loved the music on this one. Also, enjoyed the "mash-up" style to this video. Lodging to temple to transportation back to temple then food.

Love this video!! So many amazing things to do - the caves look so mysterious and exciting!! Loved your narration and the music!!
+Gloria Powell Thanks as always, G! Caves are my new adventure love. Still can't take the place of a good Korean drama tho. ha ha

It looks so amazing. I really want to go Thailand😩
+Farhiya Abdi Thailand is like a jungle book Disneyland for travelers, with the exception that the rides are real. =D
