How to Spend 2 Days in Chiang Dao (เชียงดาว) Thailand | Where to eat, what to do 🇹🇭

Chiang Dao is a mountainside resort town on the greens slopes of Doi Chiang Dao. It's a hidden gem you have to check out! To get to Chiang Dao from Chiang Mai, you can get the Thaton/Fang bus from Chang Phuak bus station - north of the Old City. The buses go from 6 am to around 7:30 pm daily, about every half an hour, for 50 Thai baht. The route passes Mae Rim and Mae Taeng.
Once you get to Chiang Dao, you can contact your hotel or Airbnb to pick you up from the bus station.
To get around to the sights and restaurants around Chiang Dao, we recommend renting a Motorbike. There are multiple signs for it on the streets or you can ask your hotel or host. If you stay near Chiang Dao Hut or Nest 2, you are also able to walk to lots of restaurants nearby. But the sights and temples are further away.
There aren't too many things to do in Chiang Dao, but the main point is to relax. It's a fantastic place to slow down and take in the natural scenery. In addition to the places in the video, we recommend visiting the temple Wat Tham Pa Plong to see the sunrise. We weren't able to due to a pack of wild dogs guarding the entrance when we tried...lol.

Is there much accommodation in chaing dao or is it best to book before arriving also is the bus station in the centre of chaing dao

You can book an airbnb before you arrive and ask the host to come pick you up from the bus station if they can. The bus station is kind of on the outskirts of Chiang Dao.
