I want to make a pair of my own leather pants one day! i got a question about the ironing how hot do you have it when your ironing the leather? do you have to have it a certain distance away when ironing it?

I usually put the iron on 2 (my iron has three options, the second one is for silk, so not the hottest), choose the option without steam and always iron through a piece of paper. Don't iron directly on the leather!
