There are many naturally achievable reds and indeed darker shades with more depth of tone, heterogeneity, and character on leather. If it looks like it could be fake leather, what's the point? That's like painting beautiful wood. Also, I know this store, they use imported leather (from Italy).

Don't talk despairingly about these folks. They are the magic that keeps your economy above water. You should honor and respect them, no different than an older grandparent that watched you as a child. These folks should be put on a pedestal. Not some soccor (football) guy. That woman doing the sewing was as good as Pele was when he perfected the bicycle kick. You just didn't notice. Your time to notice is NOW. Notice the people who actually make "shit happen". I'm that guy. I honor that woman and manufacturer for doing well. They are doing the real job. Enough said.

I think it's 5-5.5 hours minimum. You have no idea how much work goes into the product. Just attempt to purchase the materials (leather, lining, proper sewing equipment, and talent to assemble). Any sane person would stop. Unless you're one of the high end folks, then you might make some profit.

A point of advice. Stop hammering. Use a 25 kg. metal cylinder and roll it across the seam. It will be flatter with less puckering.

Two different. One is a two sided adhesive tape, the other is a liquid contact cement. (The liquid contact cement usually requires some evaporation before it's a good adhesive, but it looks like they solved that problem). I'm an engineer and chemist.

Menos mal que son artesanos, ya en los años 80 los procesos de fabricación y herramientas en España estaban más adelantados que en este y otro par de vídeos que he visto, además la piel que utilizan es tan mala y endeble que tienen que reforzarla por todas partes para poder confeccionala, serán artesanos pero si quieren aprender a trabajar bien la piel aquí les enseñamos con mucho gusto.
