When i worked at a movie theater, a woman complained about seeing a mouse. I wanted to say "Lady, we're forty feet from the river; you're lucky we don't have any of those big rats." The truth was, thete were rats in the building, but the theater was on the third floor and they rarely went up that far.

I quit a really good job once cos the sales manager told me to “just water down” the coffee for a UHNWI client. Man was buying a car. I’m sensitive to caffeine (like seriously you’d think I just banged an 8ball if I had an espresso)
He had previously noticed this and actually said “you smoke? Drink coffee? Aha! Try without the caffeine and see young man! I thought I had Tourette’s”
Turns out he was correct. This meant a lot to me as I spent my teenage years drinking coke and irn bru like everyone else and twitching uncontrollably and being the butt of jokes despite being popular.
So no way I was gonna water down Columbia’s finest for this guy (I’m still talking coffee i promise I just noticed that “Columbias finest” could apply to a few things 😂😂)
Anyway I got fired. However I knew this guy through family and he found out id been fired he came to find out why (cos he knew I loved cars & that was a particularly well known garage- still is and should be just a bad guy)
I told him. He made sure to return the car, tell them why. Currently owns the exact same car in reverse colour scheme ordered via the garages main competitor. He did offer them the opportunity to just replace it via another salesman but I guess that dude must be the top of the food chain in that garage.

i worked at a bakery, the juice made there wasnt natural juice, i dont quite know how to say the correct name in english, but it is juice that its just a powder you mix with water, oh boy, the amount of insects entering the juice container to die was quite something, because those juice containers have a machine thing below it that constantly mixes and refrigerate the juice to maintain the sludge-like substance from forming, as it normal to form when you let juice stay still for long periods of time, but my boss would order us to turn it off overnight so ants to would constantly enter the ''mixer'', and we had to serve it, so everyday i would go to the juice container and use a spoon to pick them all out before opening, yes, the juice would stay there overnight, so for multiple days we had to serve old and quite honestly, dirty juice to ppl, at some point i stopped calling it juice and called it bio hazard, its a miracle no one(that i know off) never went to that place complaining about getting ill. and this is only talking about the juice, there are MANY health code violations that we were forced to comply

I work at a dog boarding kennel. We're not allowed to tell owners if their dogs have been banned from boarding with us in future lmao. We will try almost any dog once, but if during their stay, a dog proves themself to be an active danger to our staff or otherwise impossible to board, we send them home with a smile and then, if the owners ever call to ask about boarding with us again, we just tell them we're booked and can't accept their reservation lol. You may say it's scummy, but to that my response is: I'd rather not have my face bitten off, thank you.
The only dog I can think of who's been banned for a non-dangerous reason? A Husky who, multiple times a day, had the most heinously disgusting diarrhea and smeared it over every inch of himself, the floor, the walls, the gate, I'm sure if he could reach the ceiling it'd be up there too. My manager, bless her soul, refused to make her employees keep cleaning that (literal) shit. All other banned dogs have been banned for being dangerous to handle. I'm sure Loki is a perfectly good boy at home, ma'am, but he's tried to attack three of our staff, so no, he will not be coming back, thank you.

When I worked at an airport, the airline never wanted to admit when a delay was something within their control. If it’s out of their control(weather, crew rest requirement, etc.) they aren’t required to transfer the ticket to another airline or provide hotel accommodations for passengers like they would have to with something like maintenance. The number of times where we knew it was maintenance, but they slapped it with “previous delay of the aircraft” their catch-all code when they don’t want to admit fault, was absolutely infuriating.

I used to work at a third-party food delivery service (think Door Dash and Uber Eats, but this one was a local place) where we would put a 15% upcharge on each individual item up to a maximum of $3, to put some extra money in the boss's and dispatchers' pockets. Trust your gut feeling if you think those prices are higher than they should be.
Unrelated note, that looks like a cute game in the video. What game is that?

You may have been a good employee and done your best but there’s plenty of instances of things not getting done simply because an employee is a slacker. When it comes down to something that impacts my business idc if it means an employee needs to be hand held I just want it done.

I can't tell customers we have coupons online, or confirm we have them at all. I can only say "check our website". It doesn't matter if they're old, don't have a phone, don't have service. If I tell them and a manager catches wind, I could be terminated.
We also advertise the coupons on every inch of the store and have QR codes that'll take you to the barcode. So many people already know and use them. But in a two week period, if I have more than 60% coupon usage on transactions, I could get written up and hours taken away.
We put high priced items under a "4.99 on sale" sign and management told me to just mark it down to 4.99 even though some items, even on sale, are still $14+. I got in trouble for doing that on my recent cashier report card. Even though they told me to do it for every item that's in the sale bin regardless of higher price. And they admitted to telling me to do that.

Idk how many people have 1000's of dollars in debt from phone conyracts that were never properly explained or they hide fees and try to just plain screw you.

When it comes to "tip sharing", it is illegal in a number of states; and even a number of the ones that do allow it ( _usually known as Tip Pooling or Tip Credit_ ) usually require it to not only be known before hiring, but it has to be properly dispensed to ALL employees, and the management can only take the smallest portion ( _i.e. if it doesn't divide cleanly, they get the smallest cut_ ). If that particular OP had records of those tips and could prove neither they nor their coworkers ever even received a portion, they could probably sue the crap out of that restaurant.
As for the battery replacements, at good shops, you can watch them put it on the tester and get a receipt of said transaction. If you're not entirely sure, a lot of places like Auto Zone will often test them for free. A number of places that can test batteries can even test more than just the battery, especially since bad spark plugs, bad wiring, bad starters or bad alternators could be the true problem.
