What has you most excited in the Tyranids index?
What happened to the neurothrope?
@Christian Lopez it's become a zoanthrope unit upgrade.
@klompb ah, thank you
@@ChristianLopez-xx5nw you're welcome 😊
Parasite of Mortex. Spawning Ripper swarms more reliably, immediately, and within engagement range so they can fight that turn seems like it might be quite fun if it's appropriately costed.
Absolutely delighted to work with you friends at Titans even more closely! The loveliest people you could meet in the community!
THANK YOU! Every other channel is just reviewing each unit, while you explain the overall army cohesion & flow - very very helpful for newbies.
This is the best tyranid video for 10th edition for new players. This really gives you army ideas and a great overview on how the faction plays and feels. I hope you do this for all factions.
Throw a tervigon in that firebase, and you've got a deal
Psychophage tho
Psychophage and tervigon are both sick options, especially if you run a bunch of termagants! Could be loads of fun. Run some tyrannofexes in the backline too and that is a FIRING SQUAD
@@logandagnino5735what's your opinion on this combo ? I'm trying to figure out if it would work out the way I hope it does.
The combo consists of the Endless swarm stratagem and the hive tyrants ability will of the hive mind. Along having 4 units of endless multitude units in groups of 10s or 20s either way.
So for this instance let's say we have a two units of (20) termagants and 1 unit of (20) hermagants and one unit of (gargoyles)
In our command phase we use the endless swarm stratagem on our two units of termagants after losing some models in each unit and return d3+3 for those two units. After that we then use the will of the hive mind from our hive tyrant reselect the endless swarm for 0cp to target the hermagants and gargoyles to return d3+3 to each unit ( this is where the wording confuses me with the way the stratagem says TARGET: then select one or two units because the hive tyrant ability says you can use that same stratagem again even after you target another unit.. if so I'd would love to run two tervigons and like 2 to 3 units of termagants in conjuction with combo just to have that horde feel army play style. If you or anyone can please let me know I'd this works or not. I'd appreciate it.
@@rhainex5952 I ran 60 termagaunts/a tervigon/psychophage/hive tyrant 3 tyrant guard.
The gaunts just get shot of the table and the tervigon in cover with a 2+ will last 2 turns at most.
Main problem is A) The gaunts die the second they come out. Even putting the 5+ FNP, -1 to hit on em they cant handle 10 desolators, 6 aggressors, neophytes, mortars. Blast is disgusting lol
The tervigon just gets focused down. Tried a monster mash list with gaunts to see if they would shoot something else.
Once you invest in so many gaunts though it makes sense to focus the tervigon. Now your thinking "leave him out of line of sight" problem is the tervigon needs to be near the gaunts AND they have to both survive a whole turn 😢❤
Who else feels like it’s always a space marine victory? Seems like the marines are much stronger in this box set 😅
they objectively are. The box set is very much one sided in favour of the marines. The nids are down around 200~ points, and have nothing beyond the screamer killer to death with the termies and dread.
There are only so many models they can shove into a box. Nid players are getting plenty of new gribblies.
I believe any faction can defeat any opposing faction, it's all in the skill
Well there are new tyrannies releasing with 10th edition so they want you to buy those too… maybe a bit of money grubbing but I’m still buying it
If you want real zone control, look at Tyrannocytes loaded with Sporocysts and consider the shenanigans you can get up to with them on turn 1, especially if you lean into it and bring two or even three of the combo to the party. Perfectly legal right now, should be interesting to see if/when it gets banned. Deepstriking fortifications does what everyone wanted the hammerfall bunker to do.
Love this style of video, breaking down the overall strengths and weakness of an army
Picked up a Leviathan box and I've played SM and Necrons but Tyranids are totally different so thanks for this video. Got all my space bugs of death primed and ready to start painting
Love the simple overviews.
Will you be doing this for all armies?
I'm so excited for more of these videos for all the other factions. such a quick general overview to get up to speed
Love your format! Gotta do space marines now.
3*1 biovore, put out 3 unit of spore mine each turn. 25 mm base so very hard to screen, free engage and possible behind enemy line.
Synaptic lynchpin on brood lord with the bomb is amazing. Let's the unit get that 5 up fnp or adrenal surge.
Cool as always.
Great video. The Art of War link (in the description) doesn't seem to work
Thanks for the heads up! Should be working now
I'm excited for Old One eye leading a pair of carnifexs but until I fully see everything I won't know the load out I'm going with.
Just getting back into Warhammer after 10 years away, have Tyranids, would it make sense to make a unit of Carnifexes that are entirely Dakka focused? Bio-Plasma, Spine Banks, Devourers, and Stranglethorn Cannons?
It can work, though they no longer have enhanced senses. Even without it, they can be fun weapon platforms. Outside of Old One Eye and screamers, I personally make hybrid carnis, being able to shoot in combat with monsters is a bonus!
i really like to watch your videos :) Thanks
So I’m super new to the table top
Is it possible to have a army that’s tyranid warriors (bone swords and some kinda gun) tyranid shrike warriors a pair of hive guards and a norn emissary
And how would you modify this team to be better or work/be allowed
1 spore per biovore kinda sucks but if mines are free again ill dust off them bios
Super cool colap lovin the quick summary of the armys Hope you to this for all armys!
Dude you look like Captain N The game master. Thanks for the information.
But what if the scenario you play does not have objective markers?
You could add in a Psychophage into your Firebase Fortress Idea, and grant that Feel No Pain to all of those units as well. Have a small, incredibly durable Death Star that'll control a point for the whole game.
Hi, quick noob to tryanids question.
Hyper Adaption for Invasion Fleet detachment. Swarming Instincts for example. When targeting infantry enemies, does Sustain hits trigger automatically when attacking or on a successful hit roll?
It triggers on a crit.
I’m building a swarming list with Tyranids… weaken enemy’s with a lot of smaller units and then once weakened send in the large units
Well how's it panning out for you?
@@nogodsnokingsonlymen8538 it’s working out alright. Been experimenting on the other detachments, all have their good strengths and weaknesses.
Oh tank busting tyranids would be hella cool
Loving the Haruspex
Whoa... Deja vu
There seems to already be a problem with big MW bombs
Shout out to Old One Eye
Take a look at the maleceptor. 100% chances it will be nerfed.
Why?
It definitely won’t be. It’s just a vindicator monster.
I think cover is easier to get in 10th. Basically everything hands it out.
I've been out of 40k for a while. These Nids and the edition change feels like Being stuck with a Robin Cruddace Codex in 5e all over again. Almost Unable to kill a tank let alone Transport Spam. Nids will not be able to control anything as they become a Massively reactive army that can't hurt dedicated transports as their Can Openers will be forced to. Focus on The enemy tank Killers. This doesn't look good at all, points pending ofcourse. If the units are cheap this MAY work. But GW tends to Value Anti Tank very steeply (Remembering the 250pts Tyrannofex whose anti tank gun couldn't bust a tank😖)
I remember ... 2 shots BF 3 (so 4+), resulting in ONE average hit per turn ... it was a joke.
8:33 oh lord that comment aged like fine milk
Plague Marines need a better ability while they're on an objective
Let's not forget the Hive Guard with Shockcannons. Park them on an objective and hit on 4+ with overwatch shots. Only -1 rend, but with 3 damage and 2+ anti-vehicle, you can potentially do some real damage to tanks.
Is this a good army to play if you are into Tentacle anime?
We know how every game will end.
No you should look up slaanesh
All Neurotyrant, Venomthrope and Toxicrene army!
Is it just me or are tryanids the biggest pain in the rear to paint. So many paint schemes out there and the colors never seem rights to my eye when I’m finished. Sooo frustrating!
I think everyone's going to need nine tyrant guard minimum. You need three units to act his bodyguard for the swarm lord, hive tyrant on foot, and the neuro tyrant
Can't you chuck them all into the same tyrant guard unit?
Don't think the neurotyrant is as autoinclude as the other two tbh
Hot take - The neurotyrant might want the neurogaunts. Giving the neurogaunts the synaptic relay will open up some fun plays if you chain your neurogaunts - really expanding your synapse range.
"just play the objectives bro" is a giant red flag to the army being bad.
My experience so far.
1. Work hard on a list.
2. Start a game.
3. Have your units picked off easily by Desolaters and Knights with Towering, that you can't do anything about.
4. Victory for opponent.
oof
How to play Tyranids. Mostly move forward and get shot in the face. Bolt gun fire sounds intensify…..
Tervigon + psychopage and 40 termagaunts 565 points 6+ feel no pain and respawn, stick a hive tyrant nearby for 0cp d3+3 gaunts too!!
Gaunts everywhere!!!
Swamp the objectives and shove screamer killers into everything else, or go the carnifex route with assault +d6 on attack
what detachment?
Man, I liked tyranids because they were hordes but know they’re dumb
I really wish you would show a picture of the models you're talking about. It helps me visualize what unit is called what, especially when half of the things you're talking about are [Something]gaunts. I don't know why you keep cutting back to this useless image of some big model that just has the names of units floating around it and not cutting to pictures of the units you're talking about.
Tyranids OP need nerf.
nope not gonna happen
@@tymckenzie7416 this didnt age well
Step one: you're playing tyranids.... it involves 0 skill all you do is just use the superior rules with no mitigating rules on your opponents side. This is the way and it's why tyranids were always ghey
