I can't believe I just watched a guy clean his guitar for 15 minutes -- and enjoyed every minute of it. This is the perfect blend of entertainment, education, and advertising. I genuinely learned a few things, saw some nice products I didn't even know existed, and laughed all along the way.
I love Music Nomad stuff. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them. Last year I sent them some old strings for some research they are doing and they sent me a handful of their products for free!
I have become a HUGE fan of the MusicNomad products. Everything I have purchased from them is worth it's weight in gold. And I agree about the F1 oil for the fretboard. Love it!!
I've talked to both Suhr & Fender and they said "Just wipe it down with soft cloth" - Do nothing. The oils from your hands are enough. I have 2 Maple's myself.
I've been using that F-one fretboard oil for a while, it's very good. Also a good tip for tuning stability is to use music nomad's nut oil (similar to "Nut Sauce") on the nut and bridge. Works wonders.
I really enjoy music nomad’s products. Their nut file set is the best. Their setup videos too….really get you there to a point where minimum adjustment are needed to finish it odd
I have always had access to an abundance of tools, first my Dad's and then my own. How popular and desired is the ESP tool, especially with the, "safety," coating of attaching a thick, non-abrasive felt-like fabric, or a more rubber-like coating. ????? Also, PHIL, you mentioned UV protection for the one product. Will it protect against both UV-A AND UV-B? Does it impart it's protection property to just the finish upper layers (preventing the milky, hazy, or dull appearance), does it penetrate deep in the finish (preventing the drying, cracking, and tendency for some finishes to become almost the appearance of fine sand, or particulate), and the HUGE QUESTION, does it impart UV-A and/or UV-B protection to the wood itself? Will it protect the wood with only oil finish, or either traditional or modern nitro finishes, or even penetrate deep enough, or just by way of applying to the surface, protect wood with a thin or thick poly finish. I use a lot of VERY INTENSELY COLORED woods, many exotics, Bloodwood, Red Marblewood, Yellowheart, Redheart, Purpleheart, Padauk, Cocobolo, Bubinga, which fade with UV exposure, and what's does the manufacturer say about protection from UV induced color fading? And, would you, in your experience tend to believe their claim? Thank you
I had Walnut fretboard that both the seller and maker of the guitar recommended the F-1 oil on its fretboard. The walnut soaked it up and did the trick! Dave from Kansas
I got all their stuff after getting rid of my 21 year old gear. I got both toolkits and the setup tools because I do my own nut replacements and setups on all 7 of my PRS. Love their stuff! I am getting into testing out their cleaners, waxes and fretboard care items next. I have been using the stuff PRS sells which is probably made by the same companies.... I have been playing and working on my own and others instruments for about 35 years and I will attest these products are top notch!
I really like their fretboard oil f-one. Works great and lasts a long time. Smooth sailing after using it. Havent tried all their products but i swear by their f-1 oil. Very nice kit!! I want one! Rock on!
I've been using their Fretboard Feed (sic) for a while, very pleased with it. I used to use woodwind "Bore Oil"... Their collection of truss rod adjusters look very handy - I can never find the one I want at the time that I need it! Best, Pete
I use the Music Nomad Guitar Detailer, works on satin/matte/open pore finishes and according to the Amazon listing the F-one works on unfinished maple.
For Satin finishes it's best on liquids to not use a polish or wax, so MusicNomad has a Guitar Detailer which is a straight cleaner for Matte/Satin. Unfinished Maple F-ONE Oil works great, if finished Guitar Detailer.
For the fret polish i just carefully line really thin coat of em on top of the darn fret. Btw the wrench is better then esp. Well even if i am a dealer of this. It sure were a darn good product. The one polish and cleaner is extremely good cleaner for gloss finish. The string oil were there to just make things slinky oil. Better then fast fret. F one oil is extremely good fb conditioner.
the octo wrench is a clutch tool, i get so much done with just the simple 4-in-1 version that i have... didn't know they have a full kit, it's definitely something to consider, thanks for showing it to me...
Most guitar shops us Meguiar’s no 9 swirl remover no 7 show car glaze and no 34 finish spray .... you get years and years worth for low money (on Amazon ) .... search Meguiar’s Guitar on line.
I’ve already purchased the Guitar Nomad polish and fret oil plus some their microfiber clothes. Great products and is my number one guitar care product!!! Thanks Philip and AMS!!!🎸🎸🎸😁
I'm on my 3rd guitar from AMS. My music man, Gibson exployer, and charvel Joe Dulplainer Gojira tele. It's great they do monthly payments if you can't afford 800 1200 1800$ out the pocket. 3yrs with them. Plus you establish good credit. Thanks phil. 3 thumbs up.
I love Music Nomad stuff. I use: F-One oil, Clippers, String winder, Fret polish kit, String cleaner, Guitar one polish & Nomad tool set = all work great for me. oNe LovE from NYC
For Satin finishes it's best to not use a polish or wax, so MusicNomad has a product called Guitar Detailer which is a straight cleaner for Matte/Satin. Hope that helps.
Hey Phil, you said in one of your Q&A that with the research you did on guitar care products, you would now only use Music Nomad or another-brand-that-I-do-not-remember products. Are you planing to make a video on this subject? Thanks for all the usefull information you share with us!
Im still a bit confused by the difference between the “Guitar Polish” and “The One.” Did i get that right that basically the polish is just for shinning up the finish and hardware every now and then and the One is more to get the dirt and oils off and can be used routinely?
James, the Pro Strength Guitar Polish is more a deep clean and polish you can do every few months, while the Guitar ONE is more of a maintaining product in between shows and rehearsals that also has Wax in it so it protects the finish from all the elements out there from binding to the finish. The Polish also is more effective on polishing oxidized hardware. Be careful on gold hardware as some are really thin plating and would not use on thin gold plating. The Polish is also best for gummy vintage Nitro as better with a paste polish than a liquid spray (Guitar One). Hope that helps.
Really good Video Phil, I use the music nomad as my prefered guitar clean tools. Also last NAMM they have me a Fret Polish cream too, and that is so great. It feels like butter When you do a bend.
Great video, have all these products but it's nice to see an expert use them. I do wish you did a fret polish too though, I've been lazy but really need to fret polish an older guitar I had while living by the ocean, so corrosion on the frets, so needs a good polish.
We have a fret polish called FRINE fret polish and comes with Fretguards and a cloth all in one Fret Polishing Kit, AMS carries it. It's part number MN124. You will love it.
Any tips for polishing a satin-finished Les Paul? Not trying for super high gloss, just a little shine. I've tried the StewMac Preservation Polish, it didn't help. Thanks!
I really like your videos, it's not a lot of b.s. and I have learned a lot of new things, also I would like to know where your store is. I live in Glendale. Thanks, keep up the great work.
the polish smells like bubble gum. I really like it :) the nomad tool is awesome, I recommend it, and the f one oil. I really enjoy music nomad guitar accessories. I highly recommend them.
It was a tad Sham Wow-ish, but the self deprecating acknowledgment helped. For the amount of product 'demonstrated' you would have expected AMS to have offered up more than a single giveaway pack.
For Satin finishes it's best on liquids to not use a polish or wax, so MusicNomad has a Guitar Detailer which is a straight cleaner for Matte/Satin. Hope that helps.

I feel the same way!
I even got my wife to watch it with me and stayed interested too! Lol!

Very cool!
Phillip McKnight also big fan of the comedy in this one Phil!
I just got this kit for my birthday. I couldn't be happier with it.
I have become a HUGE fan of the MusicNomad products. Everything I have purchased from them is worth it's weight in gold. And I agree about the F1 oil for the fretboard. Love it!!
David Letterman would have been proud of those glass-shattering fx
Hi Phil, I appreciate this video, however could you comment on cleaning and treating maple fretboards. Thanks
Great suggestion!

@@michael_caz_nyc awesome, thanks
Howdot I’ve found as well, if there is a lot of crap on the fretboard,a dry cotton bud gets first off really well

Been using the Guitar 1 after every gig, and string change, for two years. Wasn't aware of the whole kit; thanks for sharing.
No problem!
The Nomad Neck Cradle is the epitome of genius. Love that fn thing.
Great idea adding a rubber base to the ESP wrench. No more fear of accidentally relicing the guitar!

Found out about Music Nomad products when I purchased my first guitar and am so grateful I did. Quality is excellent!!!
i bought the polish and oil as my first ever guitar care product. very very great!

I absolutely love music nomad. I have nearly all their guitar care products.
I really like their fretboard oil f-one. Works great and lasts a long time. Smooth sailing after using it. Havent tried all their products but i swear by their f-1 oil. Very nice kit!! I want one! Rock on!
This looks much easier and more practical than soaking my guitar in the bath tub, thanks Phil!
@@lueysixty-six7300 Well ya see theres your mistake...Never have your Les Paul and your dog in the shower at the same time silly!
Still better than a garden hose
Wickednative I just go down to the beach and put it in the salt water for a minute or two, really cleans the guitar nicely

Thanks for the great video . I use the Music Nomad fret board oil and the Music Nomad spry cleaner wax, Great products!
So far I like Music Nomad products. Seems their product line is ever growing.
got the new toolkit for christmas this year from my in-laws. LOVE it.

I was just looking up guitar cleaning products. Good timing of this video!
Braver man than I. IF I HAD a JM Suhr, it would be last guitar I would try out new cleaners and tools with. Maybe a Squier...or a Glarry!

Music nomad is awesome stuff !
I own quite a lot of their gear and it been all great quality and lasted ages.
The string fuel is my favourite.
🤙🇦🇺🎸🔥
I’d use music Nomad for all my poly finish guitars but use virtuoso polish and cleaner for your nitro finishes.
Could you use the one cleaner on guitar hardware and nitro finishes?
hi phil, can i use the guitar polish to give my satin finish acoustic guitar a little sheen?
The fun sarcasm coming across nicely. Well done. ;)
Thanks Phil, learned a couple of things i wasn't doing while cleaning my guitar. Sad that the giveaway is US only though.
what are pros of polishing/cleaning a fretboard? I have a maple fretboard so would feel sad to get rid of the sweat/tears stained onto it......
Great products thanks brother
Just an fyi that polish will take finish off of certain pickups. My solo II custom from schecter had gold pickups, they're silver now.
Phil, why Stringjoy strings? Can you do a pro & can on them?
Interesting you use 10-48, just a feel thing Philip? I use Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky, 9-46 for the feel
Is that a Fender strat? Or PRS Guitar? Fretboard looks beautiful
I'm certain this has been asked before but is it okay to use the F one oil on roasted maple necks

Will the bridge tool work on a Gotoh made Floyd rose type ‘Edge’ tremolo that’s fitted on my Ibanez RG550DX? Thank you.
I always wonder if it’s ok to remove all the strings at once like that without loosening the truss rod. Thoughts?
Great video! I just bought mine. Thank you!

Love that guitar Phil awesome I want to get one some Day but I love my Jackson Dinky😎🤘✊
Where’s the description?
Hey Phil, how do you like the mat? I heard a lot of complaints that it is too thin, and cheap feeling.
It feels like the other mats I have owned, but I plan to do some follow up videos with the products.
Awesome video loved it
Can you use it on a acoustic
Thanks Phil
I found that if you do a 'half wrap' and cut the string off in the middle I don't catch my hand, or anything else on the sharp string end. JMHO --gary
