how can i figure this equation if multiplications the rule, you keep subtracting me from you and it just doesn't add up at all. pure lyrical genius right there!!!
An interesting one this - not released on any album (compilations and bonus tracks aside) this was recorded in late 1976 at a transitional point for the band - before original members Phil Judd and Mike Chunn left (which they did before the next album, Dizrythmia) but after drummer Malcolm Green joined...
The older I get the more I appreciate Split Enz. Fantastic bassline in this one, and Tim Finn's voice fabulous as ever.
Bought this as soon as it came out. Still one of my favourites!!Classic early Enz!
Amazed this never made an album originally.....my favourite Enz song.
That would make a cool tattoo..the sun and wind is feeling really good..Continue to enjoy your Wednesday😊
Split Enz❤
Another GREAT song from the enz that is hardly ever heard.
Brilliant , Enz, great story telling...music should've done more of it.
Tim's vocal performance on this is one of his best I think.
it's almost a different key .
Absolute genius ❤️❤️❤️
I love this song! The lyrics are awesome!
Genius song,
Another great divide...Another great song by the enz.

Very nice! Kind of reminds me of early Genesis!

between albums but could've been.
love the enz but everything before "true colours" is not easy to listen to .
This is an outtake.
Strange but likeable.i think it's the only song that's not a single on ' enz of an era '.
It was actually a single, but didn't make the charts anywhere. 😕
Good onya benkata....you're brilliant! Thanks a bunch! The Enz's lyrics are SO good.
EPIC
#ENZ4EVA🇳🇿
Fantastic song!
I love this song
they seemed to be 5 to 7 years behind when the first disc came out. Prog/Beatley sound very baroque-n[ha!] pop. luv these kiwi's.
omg that guys changed my life thanks for posting T-T
I'm so pissed off I'm only hearing this for the first time in 2017. How did I miss this brilliance for all these years?
Better late than never!
amazing song.
Love this,
I'm sure the line goes...
"Now how can I figure this equation, if multiplication's the root"
and it's a better pun
Tim Beckwith It's "multiplication's the rule"
everyone knows its "multiplication's the rule"
@@paulbradley705 I know, I just think that "root" would have been a better maths pun to go along with the others
that opening riff sounds like a backwards version of "history never repeats".
Hey bro, are you related to JonB Finau, we used to work together, good dude.
