I see this as more good riddance, no longer shall we deal with this bias toward the Vanu hopefully and start getting the TR arsenal back to a better level than it currently is following the nerfs.
Wrel is PS2 for me. started playing the game coz of his streams and videos!
Gonna miss wrel. He poured his soul into planetside and it never would have lasted all these years without him.
And before he left he gave us another construction update ha ha ha
The update went as well as I could have hoped full. I was hoping the update would make infantry fights at construction bases more fun, and revitalize the vehicle game; but as a pessimist I had my doubts about whether it was going to succeed.
Despite a few downsides, overall the update was a success. Construction bases are now more fun to fight at, and there seems to be more vehicle combat; heck, it seems more people find Oshur tolerable now.

@@upyermaw2732 The game population, and the number of builders will decrease quite a bit; but that doesn't take away from the improvements. I love the new command center, the rebirth center, and the fortress shield module. I can more easily drive and fly nearby enemy construction bases because of no automated turrets. And my other accounts got the spawn tube, vehicle pad, and repair module for free from the mission; and the Ants were all given max cortium storage and cortium radar by default. Also Construction Outpost Silos are so much better than the old empty capture points in the middle of nowhere.
@@josephburchanowski4636 I will give you that its an upgrade to what was rather bad. But there are so many other problems some years old that should have been addressed first.

As such could be said for every update over the years. Frankly I'll take an update that fixes some problem areas whenever I can get it. There will be other updates; lets just hope that the next ones will also be net positives.

honest, the desolation outfit wars mode was great idea with great online sports potential and that i have to add to wrells legacy. rest... rpg modes and other fancy shit? if just more effort was put on debugging and such. and well lets see how new construction will evolve. now its still very embalanced but it has potential after construction was ruined with bastions come.

New visuals are welcome, also a refactored render and game engine. #Wrel leaving is also good news but the rest is underwhelming and not what the gamed needs. Stories? Campaigns? Damn this is not an JMMORPG. Better fix what you destroyed on Esamir and don't give us lame excuses for not fixing years old bugs! #PS2
"Saying it for what it is" would be that Wrel is incompetent and helped run the game into the ground.
He was pretty much in charge of the game for most of its life and it's still around. We have very different definitions of running something into the ground. The only thing I see that's been run into the ground is the idea that everything in life is Wrel's fault. I wouldn't be surprised if some people wake up, see that it's raining outside and start cursing out Wrel because they don't know where else to focus their angst.
@@kinnusai4432 I played the game at launch bro. Wrel didn't add anything to the game. All he did was shuffle numbers around and utterly butcher the game. The people that dislike Wrel dislike him for good reason. I've never seen a game be butchered like this.
@@kinnusai4432 The game is beyond dead btw and IMO utterly unplayable in its current state. I can't believe anyone enjoys playing the vandalized garbage that is wrelside. He even ruined the graphics LMAO. Not a single aspect left untouched, not a single improvement made in 7 years. He ruined ESFs, ruined tanks, added extra damage dropoff on every infantry gun for no reason, etc. and left so many easily solved issues unfixed.
@@thishandleistaken1011 He added literally TONS of content and new things, I am also playing since the beginning and honestly would NOT play the game for so long if not for Wrel's creative ideas which made game fresh and non stagnant. What do you want? Old balance for literally years? Non evolving battlefield with op things that were nerfed for a good reason? People like you are not even salty vets anymore, you are just hogging to the past and can't adapt and enjoy changes.
Of course he also did bad decisions, but MOST of what he did made this game live as long as it did and possibly even longer. Learn to enjoy new things, fun is in adapting to new situations on battlefield, not doing the same boring shit over and over again.
