This run was only TESTING. It was NOT a record attempt. The GoPro pole attached to the board has not been an issue. It is the sudden failure of electronics that have been plaguing us. When the electronics fail. The rear wheels lock up and the board stops. The only thing that keeps momentum is the rider. It is like getting your feet swept out from underneath you and with the rider in full tuck and his hands behind his back. My face usually hits the ground first, then my feet fly over my head. It is never a graceful landing.
I have been in several high speed skateboard crashes. Some required me to take time off to recover. Others... not so bad. Some of the worst had to do with electronics failure, and throttle control. One of my 1st setups was AWD. It had so much torque that on one test run I hit a bump, twitched the throttle and the board shot out from underneath me. Lucky for me. I was only going about 35mph when it happened and I was able to baseball slide out of it. It is crazy to be in full tuck one second. and flying through the air feet first the next. After that I went to 2wd. then 1wd. 1wd is more forgiving. Im not afraid of bumps in the road. Bring it on. 😎
+Wesam Aljariri What is the KV of the motor? What gearing are you running? How much voltage are your batteries? Are you running parallel or series? What is the max voltage of your esc?
+jaystcb all I know is the battery is 12 v and its really heavy I don't know but maybe it can go faster but they made it like that to by Stave I don't know u know better then me it this stuff
Thanks man. I have been working with Ronin precision trucks, RedRock boardshop, and Flykrisco on this project for some time. It is in the final stages now. I cant wait to see this launch Kris Sarellano into the record books. :)
One is Speedmeter. It is a downhill skateboarding app. The other is Speedometer+. It is cool because the app will stay on and record when you use other apps. Both are for Iphone 5.
Wow that was awesome. Please make a video like this but with the GoPro on your helmet. I have been electric skateboarding using the regular skateboards that go ~20mph. Recently my 5year old exkate board broke and am now in the market for a new one. I'd like one that goes 30-35mph but cannot find one. The best I've located is a Marbel Board that reaches 25mph. Do you have any suggestions for an over the counter skateboard? Cheers! As a side note, I am currently in grad school for electrical engineering and am thinking about taking my broken exkate board into the lab and seeing if I can get it running again but superpowered =).
That section of road has a posted speed limit sign of 45mph at the beginning of the run next to the bus stop. The speed limit drops to 40mph at the end of the run. When I started slowing down past the bridge. I looked behind me. There where no cars even close. That when I realized that the 2 cars ahead of me where speeding. I figured them to be doing at least 50mph NOT 55mph plus. I was just stoked that I was able to keep up with them.
All my testing is done. It has been a fun and dangerous 2 years of r&d, and testing. Now it is time for Kris to set the record for Guinness. Keep a look out and stay stoked my friends.
I have about a year and a half of testing and tuning and about 10k tied up in R&D. It has been a long road for me to get this far. Lucky for you there is a company on ebay called red rock board shop. They sell a truck that you can put different electronics on. You wont go 55. But you will be faster than a regular electric board. You should check out the link I added about the long road to Guinness. That has a break down of cost so you can get an idea of total price. Good Luck with your project.
jaystcb Please explain how you have 10k in R&D, is it from other trials? Other Components that didn't work out? I work in RC and know that the castle system you are using and LIPO batteries strapped on are not 10k
Hello EVERYONE.... We are counting down the minutes now. Although we are not attempting the world record today. We are super excited that, in a couple of minutes NGV is going to do there Guinness Speed run with Mischo Erban as the rider. The are going to set a new Guinness World record for the fastest person to ride an electric skateboard. They will attempt to travel at speeds in excess of 100kpm. GOOD LUCK GUYS.
Your wright my bad so hows the board today any new updates, you an another guy motivated me to do my own but I own a brushed one that has great bones batt box motor mount etc.
The one in this video caught fire and was disassembled. Currently I have a total of 5 blown up FAST electric boards and 1 good running SLOW electric board. It goes 20mph. It is built on RedRock boardshop trucks. it has a 250kv motor and I'm running 15V. It is the only board that has been dependable.
+jonathan perry Depends on how HARD you are on the throttle. On the set-up in the video. I was able to go about 5 miles on a single charge using twin lipo packs @ 45mph average and 50% throttle controls.
I'm not knocking on you. Much Respect for what you're doing here, but if you're gonna make the most badass electric board. You should probably be using the most badass electric board components, like alien drive systems and their sister company alien power systems. Or if I may recommend "neumotors" down in San Diego for your electronics / motors. They will probably give you a lot of personal help and insight with your custom setup. I have an evolve electric longboard 25 mph tops. I mostly shred the bike path and race the cyclists on it. Nothing as gnarly as this. Keep up the good work.
This is so cool, read through comments... sucks that is blew up I would totally make this if I had the money, racing people on bikes and getting pulled over for speeding would be so fun. I got pulled over on my onewheel electric hoverboard sorta thing I was going 27 in a 25 and the officer kinda just wanted to see what it was didn't get a ticket.
Holy Moses' beard, you can call me terrified after this.. Daaaaaaang was the first part fast at one point i thought oh shit this guy's gonna fall down and this gonna be one of those videos that everybody seems to laugh at but none in the video don't and it certainly ain't fun for the guy in question.. I hope you're okay though in all seriousness, this sport looks very very dangerous, i hope to God you haven't and won't suffer any problems due to it..
Less voltage. less KV motor. I have built 7 boards. I have blown up more than 12 esc's. When they blow up. that is it for that esc. And I have burned up a couple high kv brushless motors.
Currently, This set-up is not yet in production for sale. But. There is a how to build one link in the comments. Basically you can make one with just a regular top-mount longboard with an off the shelf motor mount truck hanger, RC car electronics with a low KV outrunner motor. The board above has a low KV RC motor with the highest voltage motor on the planet. But... with that came with a lot of blown up electronics.
How'd you make it? I wanna make one as well? Could you email me the parts and what you did? Or make a video. I'd really like to know! Or reply to this comment
Sorry for the late reply. It is comparable to a 10hp gas motor. But the KV is too high. That is one of the reasons we kept on burning up the electronics. If you build one. Try to use an out-runner motor with a low KV rating.
One would think someone attempting a speed record on a skateboard would choose a very large open area with a very smooth surface without any cars and without a stick hanging DIAGONALLY off to the side like that. At least have that stick directly behind?
Stillwater Productions, Thank you for your interest in the amount spent in R&D for this project. I have explained in depth of this subject several times in the past to other people that have not read all the comments or the post on Silverfishlongboarding. The amount that you are referring to is from the project as a hole. As of today. We have gone through several Decks, Trucks, Bearings, wheels, motors, ESC's, Batteries, Remotes, etcetera. The board in this video. If you where to try and replicate it. The way it sits is as follows. 1) Topmount Rayne demonseed $180 2) Trucks $750. (Ronin front and rear with 1 off CNC precision motor mount hanger) 3) motor & Speed controller & capacitor packs $500 4) griptape $10 5) receiver $120 6) remote $200 7) batteries X4 = $350 8) charger $280 9) power supply $100 10) Wheels centrax $100 11) bearings ceramic $100 12) bushings $20 13) hardware $20 14) wedge kit $20 Rough estimate without 10% tax. $2750. ($3025.) This was our 4th board. We are now on our 6th board. Some parts we where able to salvage from one board to another. But for the most part. With exploding esc's, seizing motors, smashed remotes, and custom 1 off precision trucks being manufactured. Yes we have a combined total of a little over $10,000 in R&D in this project. P.S. I hope this helps you with any of the doubts that you have had concerning this project. Cheers.
Fastest skateboard???? They are all the same. The board itself is not fast. What makes a person fast on a skateboard comes down to Who has the bigger balls. That and grade of road. Bearings. Wheels. Weight of rider. And in this case how fast the motor is. The board has nothing to do with how fast it is. The board is comfort. What type of board do you feel comfortable on. Everyone has there one style of skating and therefore setup of there board.

The speed limit is 40mph... The cars he pulls behind continue to accelerate ahead of him... So either everyone around him on that road is driving 60 in a 40 mph zone... or his meter is set to kph... not mph.
Only 2 cars were in front of him and when he got to 55mph he was catching the cars. So the cars behind him were on the Forty's. And the cars in front of him were like 50 to 53mph. Because he was going slightly faster.
fsst as fuck PCH run. Bigger balls then me. Try Torrance runway at night. Just be aware if the lights come on someone landing. 3 clicks on the mic kicks on the lights. It where I got my Vett to do 188 mph one night. Also have you looked into the tires on evolve carbon board. I love the feel Have fun
I talked to the guys @ Zamperini Field a couple years ago. FAA would not let me run during business hours. A midnight run would be fun. But without lights. It would be super sketchy. Might be ok on the service road.
I have ran over a lot of random things in the road. I have even gone over some small pot-holes. The worst are those road reflectors because they hit my trucks. But that is the best part about riding a longboard skateboard with giant, soft wheels. I have not had any road trash stop me yet. "Knock on wood".

so I got aboard and the motor on it is 100 watt motor only goes about 8 to 9 miles per hour do you know how I can make it faster is it possible or not
+Wesam Aljariri What is the KV of the motor? What gearing are you running? How much voltage are your batteries? Are you running parallel or series? What is the max voltage of your esc?

altered fantom 1.0 electric skateboard that's what I have

Nice, pch and Calle mayor. Looks like fun.
That's cool! Are you using dual or single motor setup? And what motor are you using? Thanks

dang they have electric longboards that actually go 50 mph and over ?! o.o
Out of this world.
God bless, stay save.
awesome video dude....
thumbs up....
greetings from germany
awesome, how did you get the speed measurement ? what application?
Your crazy man, i f*cking love this though lol
Wheeheeww! Sick! That looks like a thrill!
All my testing is done. It has been a fun and dangerous 2 years of r&d, and testing. Now it is time for Kris to set the record for Guinness. Keep a look out and stay stoked my friends.

jaystcb Please explain how you have 10k in R&D, is it from other trials? Other Components that didn't work out? I work in RC and know that the castle system you are using and LIPO batteries strapped on are not 10k
I am using Ronin Precision Trucks. They have been tested at over 80mph with 0 speed wobbles.
Please help me
that's fucking awesome
please make it foldable for a backpack and let me know the store to get one ;)
Thanks mate
Hello EVERYONE.... We are counting down the minutes now. Although we are not attempting the world record today. So 250kv outrunner 150 amp esc and one 7.4 lipo is the answer for safety not trying to break
records but want something that does 35mph
What set up are I running?
Mighty1005. I did not not use Alien drive systems because this is the first that I have ever heard of them.
Whats name of that electric skateboard
hi jaystcb. Is that the one and only nextboard by any chance?
No. Never heard of next board.
can you please share me a link where i can buy this online
This board was built out of rc car electronics. There is a link in the comments section.
Why didn't you use alien drive systems?
Where can I buy this or how can one build this? And how far can you go on a single charge?
Currently they are not for sale. But will will be going into production as soon as Kris sets the record. There is a how to build one in the comments.
+jaystcb if I do the how to build one how fast will it go and how much distance can it cover on a single charge
+jonathan perry
Depends on how HARD you are on the throttle. On the set-up in the video. I was able to go about 5 miles on a single charge using twin lipo packs @ 45mph average and 50% throttle controls.
You can do it!
Very cool. I think the actual world record is something like 60mph?
80
what was the app you used to record speed?
I used two different iPhone GPS apps. One was SpeedMeter the other was a downhill skateboarding GPS app.
what board is this?
I'm not knocking on you. Much Respect for what you're doing here, but if you're gonna make the most badass electric board. Holy fucking shit!!! How can you even stay on that? That would be so scary one big enough bump and it would send you flying off
sir you've got stones
This is so cool, read through comments... sucks that is blew up I would totally make this if I had the money, racing people on bikes and getting pulled over for speeding would be so fun. This is my setup.

Depends on what setup you want. Cheep-O or high quality.
Somewhere around $2500. USD

How much do u want for that board I’ll buy it!!!
That board was taken apart years ago. I still have the deck hanging in my garage.
in my town it pure scuicide with all the holes and cracks on the road , i never exceed 23 mph
wow you got to have some balls to drive like that.
I got to have one
how you did that
hello what is the name of this skateboard
This deck is a Rayne Demonseed
it's a test for iphone also.
I guess it was.
one rock
The road reflectors are the best.
hell yeah!!!! good luck brother!
Been 35 on my board fast enough

what the name of the skateboard .
Prototype 4
hey...but which is fastest skateboards..... pzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......replyyyyyy

jaystcb thanks....dear...💕💕💕💕💕for the information...❤❤❤❤💕💕💕
you made this or buy
made it
can you buy this board?
the board was put together with off the shelf parts.
so part skateboard shop part RC hobby shop?
Please tell what type of skate board this is I need this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @jaytcb
There is a build thread in the comments. Good luck.
It is a Rayne longboard with R/C car electronics. There is a how to build link in the comments. Thanks.
The shaking camera pole makes this look utterly terrifying.
Wish you passed these cars to see their reaction.
Funny. That would be great to do to an exotic.
+Emmanuel Brossard I cant imagine people waiting at redlight, and other in cars he left behind :D
holy crap you went 15 over the speed limit... ON A SCATEBOARD! if you get a speeding ticket on that thing you need to frame it!
I was hoping that I would reach the speed limit. I was not expecting to go as fast as I did. Super STOKED to do it tho. Thanks for the compliment. 👍
jaystcb how long does the charge last at those speeds on level ground?
I did several runs that day with the same packs and had still had power for a couple runs the following day. 1 pack gets me about 2.5 miles. 2 packs get me around 4.5 miles. With an average speed of 37mph.
lipo? S3 20c packs i presume?
use a mgm controler as the esc with such a low kv motor it shouldnt be pulling to much amps not sure how u are frying esc's
you could allso add extra caps ie bank of 6-8 extra caps to help stop ripple to the esc
Tuning is what I believe blew it up.
when can i get me one
Today if you want. If you want one like the test board in the video. I can tell you how to build one. If you want one a board like Mischo road to set the record. Those boards you can find on facebook NGV next generation vehicle.
Another video but no spec of motor or esc its cool that you ve built this
just remember even you had help off of DIY sites but hey keep your secret
im a build one to do 60 MPH haha see you soon mate.....
If you read the comments you will see that there is a link to this build on silverfishlongboarding. It has been there for several years now. Cheers.
The speed limit is 40mph... The cars he pulls behind continue to accelerate ahead of him... So either everyone around him on that road is driving 60 in a 40 mph zone... or his meter is set to kph... not mph.

No one goes 40mph there like 45 50mph
what is this board called

I would of ended up under a car lol
so Guiness sets some rules you had to obey .
post a video once rules and regulations are obeyed .
The speed detector is not right
The speed detector runs on GPS. It is very accurate. It was Set for miles per hour.
Compared to what?
softer wheels i think you need
Nice but what if you rode over like a bolt or a stone you'd go flying
I have ran over a lot of random things in the road. I have even gone over some small pot-holes. The worst are those road reflectors because they hit my trucks.
