Too many people are relocating here and changing the experience of living here. Don’t ruin it
Memphis welcomes all those wonderful people from Californication and New York! Go there!
😂😂😂😂
I live in UPSTATE New York and I don't like the all those wonderful people from Californication and New York ! yeah go to Memphis I live in Greenville NY now Maybe I should drop that NY and move to Greenville TN
When we moved here we chose lovely Rogersville. It is a great small town and historic too.
Love ALL of your videos - great information!! Thanks!
Thank you!!! We appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Thank you so much ❤
My father and grandfather and great grandfather were born in Jonesboro. I'm a Florida bred and born.
Great video. So many great things about northeast Tn.
Thanks David!!
I like your videos..good info ..
Im unfortunately in Ca and am looking to retire in 1 1/2 years to the tri cities area, my son went to King University and became an RN in Johnson City. I love it there and cant wait!!!!
California invaders making life expensive for the locals.
I love ur vids talking about my hometowns ❤
Love mom and pop shops !! Great video 👍
Thank you!! We love this one
Great video 👍
My wife and I are planning on retiring in Tennessee. The tri cities are wonderful. People in Tennessee are really nice compared to Florida. We have been going on vacation there since 2015.
Don’t move here
Since a lot of people are working remotely, it would help to know what kind if internet service and health care is offered in these small towns. Thanks for the info you have provided.
Most areas have high speed internet. You can actually enter any address on the FCC Broadband Map and see what type of internet and cell service is available. Check out our video, Where Are the Hospitals in Northeast Tennessee. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
I can only get internet from the phone company, it didn’t even work.
We have very good hospitals in Greeneville and Johnson City. Good trout fishing and turkey hunting all throughout east Tennessee.
@@freddudley6173 is that why it takes six to nine months to even see a primary care doctor? Bonus, because they stay backed out on procedures in the hospitals here, my child has permanent hearing damage due to the hospital staying overwhelmed!
I couldn't believe Greeneville population is 16,000. I had to look it up and ur right. I lived there and thought it was at least double that with all the stores they have there.
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT
I EVEN LET MY SON KNOW IN SO. CALIFORNIA
Thank you!
Tennessee has met its quota of Californians
Attended college in greeneville nice place
East Tennessee is full. Sad, but that ship has sailed. Try Kentucky.
Kentucky doesn’t want them either!!!
How welcoming. Sorry buddy tough luck it’s happening. You have to understand what is happening to you already happened to the people like myself who relocated from NY you also have to understand that most of NY is conservative except for the city fools. 90% of the people moving are escaping libtard policy’s and have a deep hatred for what they are fleeing
Also it won’t hurt you guys to get a little culture your food is terrible outside of pals and some bbq places
If you can’t afford the new reality maybe you have to move to Kentucky
Colorado is happy to take the overflow from Oregon and California.
But you forgot Flag Pond.
Thank you for the info. In your opinion what would be the best small town in TN to homestead. Home with some acres and not too much snow. Some good soil and okay to have animals. But not to far from doctors, stores, etc
It is difficult to pinpoint just one. There are so many small towns in Tennessee that are close to hospitals, etc. We mention 7 of them in “7 Small Towns in Northeast Tennessee”.
The incessant train horns in Johnson City are insufferable.
When we retire in NE TN (not sure when), I really want a basement and well water. With all the limestone, this may be difficult to find. Can water softeners work on chlorine in the water? It’s like showering in a pool. What have you seen? Thanks!
Most homes in this area have city water, even in rural areas.
I’ve been looking at Greenville… But the high crime rate scared me. Any thoughts on it?
We are looking to move to an area near Norris Lake. Is that still considered NE TN? Got any videos for that area...New Market and surrounding areas?
Norris Lake is a few hours out of our 7 county MLS area. We are located up in the Northeast corner of Tennessee. Thank you for watching our UA-cam channel. I wish you the best wherever you land!
Phew, didn’t mention my town which will remain unknown. Unknownville Tennessee.
How does the summer heat and humidity of NE Tennessee compare to Middle Tennessee? Thanks!
Oh, there's no comparison.
You could compare the towns you are considering on weatherspark.com
@@LivinginJohnsonCityTennessee Thanks !
You never mentioned where/what town Rheatown store is located.
Chuckey, very close to Greeneville. Check out our video, 4 Great Rural Towns in Northeast Tennessee. We talk about Chuckey in this video.
What about the quality of the school and availability of good medical care?
Have you watched our video, “Where are the hospital?” There are multiple online sites that rate schools throughout the country
Can you tell me how close to a VA Medical Centre? And would it be Knoxville TN?
There is a highly rated VA hospital in Johnson City. James H Quillen Medical Center. All 7 towns in this video are 30 miles or less to Johnson City.
@@LivinginJohnsonCityTennessee Very cool, thank you for responding. Older veteran looking for a change of scenery. Just me and the cat lol
Thank you for your service to our country!! @@Mach11976
So which of those 7 smaller towns have the most affordable homes? Do you guys cater strictly to people who can afford 300k+ houses? I need to buy in the 100's. Thank you.😊
Feel free to go to our website, livinginjohnsoncity.com and do a home search in your price range.
Remember to tell everyone about how the Monopoly on our Healthcare is in this area and everyone laying in the ER’s for days
How convenient of airports for INTERNATIONAL flights?
No international flights from the three regional airports in this area as of today. You would need to fly out of Charlotte, Atlanta or Nashville.
Not
What rural towns are good for single women?
Jonesborough is a beautiful rural town. It is the oldest town in Tennessee with a very pretty historical downtown area.
Bristol no good?
This video is about the smaller towns in NE TN. Bristol has a larger population. Check out our video about Bristol!
Sooo... please don't come here. It's not that we don't like people but the sudden population surge has already made it over crowded. People here are low income and there isnt a lot of money for infrastructure. It is already sucking. Just visit. Visit all you want. The development is killing what you people claim you want. Your developers clear cut forests to build overpriced houses. Piney flats is already developed to the point that it has lost its farm land charm.
I'm telling all my friends in CA and TX how great it is here in East TN. They have cash to buy homes . The area needs new blood
Amen!!!
@@user-uw6jh4cr9zCalifornias ( living here myself) …….inflate the prices on homes insanely…..selling high in CA going to TN and over biding on homes. We had plans moving to WA state a few years back, not anymore thanks to the Californias. I get people are sick and tired of us.
@@user-uw6jh4cr9zCalifornia is a great place. I love what they’ve done with the state. Affordable in tent living with outdoor bathrooms galore. Oh and private property. If the state can’t tax it your neighbors will take it.
Don’t move here
Sorry but I baught the last available house in Jonesborough
I don't like burgers, does that cafe have anything else,I might like Greeneville
Breakfast, pizzas, wings. They have a big menu
You wouldn’t
You couldn’t pay me to live in or anywhere near Johnson City ! Lived there for 3yrs , let’s just say it left a bad taste in my mouth ! And the VA hospital there was horrible , back when we lived there it ( VA ) had a bad reputation !
Please for the love of my home and my families home place.. STOP MOVING HERE. I don’t mean to be rude but everyone moving here is changing/ruining what makes the TN Valley appealing. I’m glad everyone sees the beauty of east TN but I can’t afford a house where I was raised because I can’t compete with Californian money. Why don’t y’all retire in the state you live in instead of using my home as a retirement paradise.
I’m moving there from California!
Exactly
Need to stop this or your area will be like everyplace else.
Hate to break it to you but it’s over for everywhere. Only so much land and more and more people.
Many realtors just want to get rich in a competitive market. My hometown was destroyed because of stuff like this.
I hear you but keep in mind it’s people who are like minded, fed up with things going on in this country and they want to grow food and what not.
NE Tennessee: awful hospitals run by Ballad, mostly minimum wage jobs, rich people moving in from the west coast and paying outrageous prices for homes, making real estate not affordable for locals.
STOP INVITING PEOPLE TO MOVE TO TENNESSEE ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU ARNT FROM HERE
Make sure you also understand that the towns they mention are not the least bit progressive. Not even a little. You have nooooo idea just how much so. Please just visit. You guys are turning these "quaint country towns" into the places you left.
I used to live on the NC border and hated going through Erwin. Then someone told me it is really racist. If you aren't white working class don't even walk downtown.
