My partner and I were roadtripping from Tucson to San Diego. We stopped in Julian and Alpine. We were thinking of moving to Alpine but also loved Julian! (not just cause of my name)

I've been to Julian in Summer and I have to say I was on my own and I'm a young woman but so to be honest I just wanted to see some 'american small town' so I made some research and picked out Julian but I was a bit bored cause I felt like it mainly consisted out of one street only and once you've seen all of that there's just nothing much to do which is kinda few to do for taking a two hour ride to get there. I have also been deciding for the exact store and apple pie shown after 5:00 and it was literally awesome! Also very friendly people really! At another restaurant the food I had was literally awful tho.. insanely sized nuggets but that were just super dry and tasteless, no one except me seemed to mind tho but maybe they've also done it like me and didn't show it but there seemed to be a few regular customers there. After all I just ended up taking a nap in my car to restore some energy for the ride back. Kept the car door open as it was a really hot day. So my recommendation if you're young and on your own maybe don't go for Julian. In general if you do go for Julian do plan some more activities around it than just 'checking it out' such as hiking, horseback riding, visiting mine or whatever!
First of all, I'm so proud of you for braving a solo travel. Second, thank you for sharing your experience. Many could learn from this. A lot of locals would travel just for the apple pie and it's best around fall and winter. You're right adding an activity like doing a tour (just like I did) would make the drive worth it 🥰
Great video...i don't know how you eat like that much and stay in great shape....good for you. We'll have to check that place out we live in Las vegas, so we're not so far away...
You will love it. My favourite scent is natural mountain air. On eating, I schedule my food well. If I overdo one day, I get back the next day. I don’t overdo for more than 3 days lol
Awesome video. Keep showing the tourist Main Street and the Apple Pie. The locals just take the money and laugh and laugh. Keep eating the Pie with imported apples from Washington. 😅🤣😅🤣👍😎
@@babetravelling Thank you! I'm planning a trip to Julian next month. It actually looks a little like a New England town. Great work on this video!! Keep it up.
I spent the Pandemic here. I camped a lot and loved coming into town. 3 years later and I decided to move into town 😂 I’m from Arkansas originally. So I had to escape the city life after my family was flooded. Now I’m an official resident. I walk to town everyday to look at Knives, and goodies in the shops. Also talking to my neighbors and the hikers. We vibe off of the country living😊
Saw the hiker vibe in this town. The grocery at d corner st of main sells camp food. Tried the venison jerky for the first time. Saw the knives shop inside the complex near the soap store. Pretty cool. I’m sorry bout ur home. Im glad u found a place in Julian 💕
This town is a joke. I went there on the advice of Huell Howser. I saw the "jail" and realized I had been scammed. Then, when walking around I saw cans of apple pie filling through the windows. These pies were not freshly made from local apples. You might as well buy an apple pie from Ralphs.
Like. Wishes.. Love❤ One more beautiful video from you You can do anything easily Beautiful 🌹Rose This world is your own You own everyone heart You have that much of power Cute princess Lot of records waiting for you. 📌

Jealous of the apple pies u’ve been having
@@babetravelling they are amazing that’s why I keep going back lol
Been there many times. I always get the apple pie and ice cream. One of my favorite small towns.
Oh you said it.. yum 😋
My mom used to make Apple ,s homemade! Our favorite is Costco.
Is there a brand in Costco that is super good?
@@babetravelling : the pies are made in their bakery department. No specific brand.
@@gregtrain1 interesting, worth a try

You should do a video on Grand Teton national park! 😁
oh I wish, it's in my bucket list 😍
How long of a drive is it to the coast/beach?
From google map, I think the nearest is Del Mar which is 1 hr and so drive away

What is the difference between the Original and the Natural Apple Pie?! 🤔
natural is no added sugar 🙂
Okay you had us at pie.
Julian pie still lingers in my brain
The Apple Alley Pie company is the best!!!!!!!!!
So good 😍
