Excellent reaction, thanks for doing this. The extended guide contains the same info but it expands on all the details and I would say is worth another reaction (it will cement what you learned with this one but will also provide you so much more, especially about all the individuals involved). Both guides take you up to early 2021 as they were posted around then, shortly before the 10 Budokan shows were completed. In October 2021 BABYMETAL posted the video 'The One - Stairway to Living legend' and announced they would be going on a hiatus for an unknown length of time. We hard absolutely nothing from or about them for several months - then they started to tease fragments of information, two or three second snippets from new songs and the release of a concept album 'The Other One' - and then that they would be playing live for the first time in nearly 2 years in January 2023. They played the live concerts in January (Momoko was there again as the Avenger) and right at the end of the second one they teased us again that there may be a new third member to be revealed in more concerts on Fox Day (1st April). The album was released in March (it is a great album in my own opinion) and at the shows in April they revealed the new BABYMETAL line up - lead vocal and dance Su-metal, scream and dance Moametal and Momometal. They have completed the European tour as special guests of Sabaton and a headline tour of SE Asia and Australia since then. They will be co-headlining a tour of the US and Canada with Dethklok starting late August and will be back headlining in Europe again after that.

The longer version may go into more detail, but this version appears to omit what the neck brace is actually about. It is a tribute to Yoshiki, the drummer for X-Japan, who had to play with a neck brace after he severely damaged his neck. He is also a friend of Babymetal, so the neck brace is a tribute to him.

Thanks for sharing your reaction to this BM guide, there are more things to update on this but i think you got some of those on your previous reaction comments such Momoko Okazaki (one of the avengers since 2019) becoming recently an official member and receiving the new name as MomoMetal. If you see some live vids prior to 2014 such Gimme Chocolate official MV, you'll see "baby-bones" performance, they also got "sister-bones" but they usually performed at Black Babymetal songs and some other special version. Mikio Fujioka was a huge lost for this band, and we always remember his magic playing the guitar, he was praised by rock and metal legends for his insane skills. R.I.P. kogami🙌 YuiMetal was also another massive strike to this group but luckily she's ok now afaik and the girls managed to carry on with this project, she definitely got some power to enchant some fans that didn't want it to follow BM without her in the group, and sometimes you'll see some of them in the comments throwing some shades or even switching "bands" favorite, don't pay attention to them, we will always love, remember and support our tomato princess thou, last week was her birthday and next July 4th is MoaMetal's birthday so if you wanna honor her b'day i suggest you to react "MoaBanger" which is Headbanger!! live at Legend M 2019, you saw part of it in this guide, she also got some solos such: - Love Machine live at Legend 1999 (2013) this one is special and only performed once, is usually safe to react. - GJ! live at Budokan 2021 - Onedari Daisakusen live at Budokan 2021. You can find these clips at Legend M 2019 and Budokan 2021 with watermarked logo at Reactor Resource (BMRR). Anyway thanks once again for this and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥
@@JustDunkf you want to see old Babymetal (related) videos you can search for 'Babymetal 2010' for example on UA-cam. The oldest I found was 2006. It was Suzuka singing at the Actor's School of Hiroshima at the age of 8 or 9.
2:28 BTW! the Sakura Gakuin picture is the 2011/og lineup, every year the senior class will graduate, and other girls will transfer in, and so on, but now, Sakura Gakuin has disbanded
Nicely done. Babymetals history is a fascinating one. Reminds me a bit of the Jackson Five. In how MJ became bigger than his original group. Some of the other ladies in Sakura Gakuin have had successful careers of their own. One of the taller ladies in the picture has gone on to be a successful model and actress and is in the Netflix movie Alice in the Borderlands. A good movie with some unexpected twist. Yui is still listed as an artist for Amuse Entertainment inc. I wonder if she is doing more behind the scenes kind of things now. She would make a great choreographer. During her time with Babymetal she did influence some of those dance moves and even talked the choreographer into letting them do some head swinging in the music video for Megitsune. I think it would be cool if we found out that Yui was still working with Babymetal in that way. She could save a lot on her health not having to go through the rigors of touring. Another thing is the ladies of Babymetal did all of that while still going to a regular school. One of the reasons the only subgroup Su belonged to was the heavy music club was because of how far she had to travel every day to be with Sakura Gakuin. Su left Sakura Gakuin before Yui and Moa as she is two years older than they are. And it was thought that might be the end of Babymetal. They do a graduation ceremony for Sakura Gakuin every year. The clip of Moa crying is from the year Su graduated. There were a lot of tears. The whole thing is on UA-cam. You watch that and you are very deep in the foxhole. From what I understand is that Yui and Moa didn't know that Su had already agreed to stay on with Babymetal and just ended her time with Sakura Gakuin. Must have been some happy tears when they found that part out. Lastly the big thing is of course that Momoko who dreamed of performing with a big artist got to do just that as you noticed. But while with Sakura Gakuin she said she wanted to become a member of Babymetal. Which everyone including herself laughed at. Since Yui was still very much with them at the time. and there were no plans of adding more members. But it's good to have dreams and goals in life. I would keep Momoko around too. She fulfilled both her goals. She has now been promoted from dancer to a big named artist into a member of the big named artist. That in itself has to be a rare thing. Now get her to say I want to win a grammy or be a member of the Metal Hall of fame. Momoko has power behind her words. Making Babymetal a perfect fit for her. As Su and Moa are real go getter types. Babymetal just does things differently. Right from the start.
Su ÷ metal stunning performance rising talented *perfectly performance skills of abilities. Pure perfection of babymetals very loud *perfectly sounding voice.
Very Great inspiring talented young ladies of babymetals. Very interesting back stories of their lifetime grand achievements. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.
BABYMETAL 101 Babymetal is a Japanese group founded in 2010 and produced by Kei “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency. Babymetal name comes from the birth of a new style of metal fusing j-pop with metal creating what they call Kawaii Metal (Cute-Metal). The group currently consists of Suzuka Nakamoto aka “Su-Metal” (25 years old) sometimes referred to as Vocal and Dance. Moa Kikuchi aka "Moametal", pronounced as Moa-Metal (23 years old) as part of Scream and Dance. Momoko Okazaki aka Momometal (20 years old) as part of Scream and Dance. They are supported by a rotating selection of talented male backing musicians known as the Kami Band (Kami is usually poorly translated as gods, but in truth it more closely means awe inspiring spirit, entity, or object) It is why they are dressed in white to look like ghosts or spirits, though Kami being used as God(s) is so common in translation the white outfits get lost.) Past Formations. Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012) From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consists of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka "Yuimetal" pronounced Yui-Metal. (Age 10). First starting out as the Heavy Music Club as a subunit within the Developmental Idol Group created by Amuse in 2010 known as Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin is a group that introduces girls between the ages of 10-15 to music, dance, modeling, and acting through Japanese Pop idol music and culture. Given a school theme, all three would be a part of Sakura Gakuin until their graduation from it in the same school year they would graduate from Japanese middle school or 15 years old. Suzuka graduated in March 2013, and Moa and Yui in March of 2015. Sakura Gakuin is a fantastic group with great kawaii jpop songs in their own right. During this time there was no lore, and the girl’s costumes were more punkish in nature, which they helped create. They also didn’t perform with live music, using a backing track or the “Skeleton band” people pretending to play music behind them. Music Video of this Era Doki Doki Morning (Debut Song) Iine (Pronounced EE-N A spelled i i n e) Headbangya Babymetal/ Metal Resistance Era (2012-2017) Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time. The Lore is complex and involves a battle against other evil idol corporations, gaining powers, some time travel, running a resistance group, all at the direction of a mythical deity known as the fox god, against an all-power enemy known as Akiba. The first Legend show “I” was the Kami Bands introduction to the end, but it also had the Skeleton Band which is seen in the wildly popular Gimmie Chocolate Music Video. This was followed by Legend D, and then Legend Z, in which it was learned that Babymetal would continue as its own entity after Suzuka’s graduation from Sakura Gakuin in March of 2013. Slowly over 2013 the Skeleton Band would be phased out of all live shows, as Babymetal came into their own. Babymetal as it is with Su-Metal, Moametal, Yuimetal, the Kami Band, and a somewhat understandable lore is what consisted for the majority of its existence. Also established beyond the 3-member formation, they had 2 other set ups, one was what fans called Su-Solos, and it would just be Su on stage with the Kami band, performing a solo, and the other is known as Black Babymetal by the band themselves, which consisted of just Moa and Yui. Music Videos of this Era Gimmie Chocolate Megitsune Rondo of Nightmare - With mischief of the Gods Intro (Su Solo and a great expedition of the Kami Band) Road of Resistance Live in Japan (Co-written by Dragonforce) Iijime, Dame, Zettai Live at Sonisphere (Name means No More Bullying Forever) Karate The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era (2018) In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui. Changes they would not tell fans and all throughout 2018 communicate extraordinarily little causing lots of pain for all involved fan and performer. This era is noted by their strange armor like costumes, sometimes referred to as Elf Armor. To make the poor communication, and Yui’s absence wasn’t bad enough, one of the more regular Kami band members, Mikio Fujioka passed away after falling off a balcony in late December 2017 while star gazing. A beloved and incredibly talented musician lost, leaving behind his wife and only child. In September 2018 Yui formally resign from Babymetal, stating her unspecified health and wishing to move on. Babymetal themselves announced that the group will move on focusing on Suzuka and Moa. (Something many idiots within the fandom refuse or are too stupid to understand) In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history. Music Videos of this Era (These MVs do not feature the members in them at all) Distortion Starlight (Don’t let overzealous fans fool you, this is OFFICIALLY not a tribute to anyone. A lot of fan speculation, end of story if they claim it is they are 100% lying to you.) Metal Galaxy Era (2019- Feb 2020) First introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3-member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH. Music Videos of this Era Pa Pa Ya Elevator Girl Shanti Shanti Da Da Dance (Avenger confusion) Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal. For the Music Videos, Pa Pa Ya, Elevator Girl, and Shanti Shanti Shanti, it is Kano Fujihira, who was just 14 years old at the time. Da Da Dance is a compilation of Momoko and Riho and a splicing of 2 different shows. In most fan cam videos of the American and European tour it would be either Riho or Momoko, as they toured with Babymetal in 2019. Kano had responsibilities with Sakura Gakuin as its president, a position Suzuka and Moa both held in Sakura Gakuin, and she’s never flown on a plane before. Some fans for 2019 did throw a stupid temper tantrum over the use of new Kami Band members who are from the west now known as the West Coast Kami Band, but like how the girls won over many, so did they and the payoff with the Legend Metal Galaxy concert in 2020 was well worth it.
COVID Era (Mar 2020 to April 2021) COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020. Forced to keep it rather tame something very unlike Babymetal as even in their failures like the entire 2018 tour they do it septically. The question for many fans at the time was what of the Avengers, since COVID, Avenger Riho Sayashi has signed with a new agency and has moved on to other projects, including starting a fan club. Kano Fujihara graduated from Sakura Gakuin on August 30, 2020, a near 4-month delay. However, she and fellow Sakura Gakuin graduates Soyoka Yoshida, Tsugumi Aritomo, and Momoe Mori in the formation of @onefive. Which leaft Momoko Okazaki who is a graduate of Sakura Gakuin in March 2018 would be the last standing Avenger until she would become the new member of Babymetal. Music Videos of this Era BxMxC (First music video that isn’t footage from a show and featuring Su and Moa since Karate in 2015) Post 10-year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-September 2022) The band stepped back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch. The band spent time working on a new concept album and was never shut down for a hiatus. Momoko had a very very short stint in a Korean Idol Competition Show called Planet 99. She performed perfectly, better than most of the other girls in the show. She even got the most votes in a small side competition destroying all the other 98 girls in the show in votes. This won her some hair dye (She was blonde for a bit). Ultimately be it dumb BM fans thinking the side competition was the actual competition, how the judging was heavily skewed to Korean voters, the fact that her fate was tied to 2 other girls one Korean and one Chinese, and or possibly ridged voting something the company producing the show has done in the past, Momoko was eliminated in the very first round. The Other One (October 2022-Current) They have released 5 songs on UA-cam, they performed a show in January 2023 where they performed these new songs leading up to the released of their Album in March with 10 new songs. During January and February shows Su and Moa were supported by Momoko. On April First (Fox Day) Their new show played many new and old songs as well as officially made Momoko Okazaki aka Momometal the official 3rd member. Bringing Babymetal back to a 3-member unit once again. This all kicked off their world tour in touring with Sabaton in Europe then Asia and Australia, and tours in US in the fall and a solo tour in Europe in winter, with a tour finally in Japan in 2024. momoko and kano were in SG, but they came after Su. Riho was in ASH with Su, and they were deemed rivals of each other during their time there. I believe although Riho was the ace of her group, her being in BABYMETAL had something to do with her relationship with Su, which shows how influential she is
have you ever seen their performance of IDZ at sonisphere 2014? even better ever seen what happened before the performance? it is very hard to find but if you do it will give you a understanding of what a strong leader su is at the young age of 16 they were all terrified of the huge crowd but big sis gave words of courage and love to her buds and a big bearhug they got up and... the rest is history
The Narrator got the producer//creator's name wrong! It isn't pronounced "Key" Kobayashi, his 1st name is pronounced Kay//Kaye! The spelling of his name is: Kei. Cheers!
The Babybones didn't pretend to play. It wasn't like lip synch. It was obvious they weren't actually playing. There was no deception. At one show the 'drummer' had joke rubber drumsticks. None of the guitars had chords, there were no amps on stage just speakers etc etc.
To help you keep the grey matter inside your skull...think of Babymetal as a "Performance Art" group rather than a traditional "Band"...your life will get a LOT EASIER!!! LoL!! And the 3rd "Avenger", Momoko, is now the Official 3rd member of Babymetal!! Go Go MoMometal!!! Unfortunately, this guide is over 2 yrs old and a bit out of date..good back ground info though, yet a lot more has happened in the past 2 years. Two big things were the New album, "The Other One", and as I mentioned, Momometal is now the 3rd official member. And not only did Babymetal Co-Headline with Sabaton on tour this year, that pic you saw, it was for the song "Oh! Mainai" Featuring Joakim Brodén!! You should React to that one!! More Babymetal Always!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
Thanks for sharing and I am glad you learned something. As of April this year, Momoko is now the official 3rd member of Babymetal, known as Momometal. I was lucky enough to see her perform live with Babymetal during their recent shows with Sabaton and she is a perfect fit for the band. Since you haven’t heard/seen any of Su’s solo songs, I suggest you start with “Rondo of Nightmare” with the Mischiefs of metal gods intro live at Budokan 2014. See you! 🤘🔥🦊

R.I.P. kogami🙌
YuiMetal was also another massive strike to this group but luckily she's ok now afaik and the girls managed to carry on with this project, she definitely got some power to enchant some fans that didn't want it to follow BM without her in the group, and sometimes you'll see some of them in the comments throwing some shades or even switching "bands" favorite, don't pay attention to them, we will always love, remember and support our tomato princess thou, last week was her birthday and next July 4th is MoaMetal's birthday so if you wanna honor her b'day i suggest you to react "MoaBanger" which is Headbanger!! live at Legend M 2019, you saw part of it in this guide, she also got some solos such:
- Love Machine live at Legend 1999 (2013) this one is special and only performed once, is usually safe to react.
- GJ! live at Budokan 2021
- Onedari Daisakusen live at Budokan 2021.
You can find these clips at Legend M 2019 and Budokan 2021 with watermarked logo at Reactor Resource (BMRR).
Anyway thanks once again for this and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥
Thanks for this amazing insight and information I’ll be referencing this many times!!!
Momoko is now the 3rd permanent member of Babymetal.
BABYMETAL 101
Babymetal is a Japanese group founded in 2010 and produced by Kei “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency.
They are supported by a rotating selection of talented male backing musicians known as the Kami Band (Kami is usually poorly translated as gods, but in truth it more closely means awe inspiring spirit, entity, or object) It is why they are dressed in white to look like ghosts or spirits, though Kami being used as God(s) is so common in translation the white outfits get lost.)
Past Formations.
Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012)
From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consists of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka "Yuimetal" pronounced Yui-Metal.

Babymetal/ Metal Resistance Era (2012-2017)
Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time.

The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era (2018)
In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui.
(Something many idiots within the fandom refuse or are too stupid to understand)
In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history.

Metal Galaxy Era (2019- Feb 2020)
First introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3-member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH.

(Avenger confusion)
Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal.
COVID Era (Mar 2020 to April 2021)
COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020.

Post 10-year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-September 2022)
The band stepped back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch.
The Other One (October 2022-Current)
They have released 5 songs on UA-cam, they performed a show in January 2023 where they performed these new songs leading up to the released of their Album in March with 10 new songs.

🤘🦊🤘
All hail the fox god
Only the fox god knows!!
@@JustDunk lol true that
If you've ever watched a NFL superbowl halftime show you've seen people pretend to play instruments(Red hot chili peppers, Bruno Mars to name just 2).
Not to mention almost every music video ever made👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾
You should check out the 4 Black Babymetal songs, that's about as Kawaii metal as it gets 🦊🤘
of the 4, Sis Anger has the heaviest sound. All 4 are a treat though.
At 7:19 That shot can be found on the video for "Headbanger" Legend Metal Galaxy day 2 2020. Most intense/wild crowd interaction to date! Must see!
You'll be doing reactions to the nendo tests soon. lol Welcome to the ONE 🤘🦊🤘
Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live...next song pls 🔥 also highlights the kami band
Very interesting and genuine way to keep the energy level up!
@@JustDunk Babymetal did a song with Sabaton. Not their best but like every Babymetal song it's great live.
Yup like karaoke
🖖❤
Bands that do not realy play but just pretend on stage are refered as "air band".
@12:18 IDK if you caught it, but Moa pinched Su's earlobe between her fingers. It was hilarious! Happy 25th Birthday Moa!
😉😉😉🤘
Of course Su-metal was born in Hiroshima.
Po!
video too short. more video better than this. longer
See you! 🤘🔥🦊
