How to Turn Off USB Power After Shutdown | Fix USB Device Lights on After Shutdown

In this video I will show how to turn off usb power after shutdown your computer. This tutorial will support all motherboards that support ERP like Gigabyte, ASRock, Asus, Biostar, EVGA, MSI, Intel.
What does ErP Mean? ErP mode is another name for a state of BIOS power management features that instructs the motherboard to turn off power to all system components, including USB and Ethernet ports meaning your connected devices will not charge while in a low power state.

For people with asus motherboards:
1) press f9 (search) and type "power".
2) there you would see an option called "USB power in soft off state".
3) Disable it and reboot as shown in the video

Great practical explanation. It worked for my friend. I also faced that problem on the Acer PC. But nothing to worry about for ACER. There is a software named "ACER QUICK ACCESS". It is a preinstalled software on the Acer PC. You just need to turn off the power-off usb charging option in the software interface and the issue will be fixed.

I have a gigabyte motherboard, I enabled erp so I could get my audio interface to turn off on pc shutdown and after 3 days I started getting bios boot failures, changed my bios to default and the only thing it changed was disabling ERP.

🛑EN- To turn off the USB's when the PC is off, just open cmd and enter the information below and restart the PC.
powercfg -h off
