UA-cam restrictions would only allow me to use tiny clips of this movie, which ruined much of the editing. I would recommend watching the much superior version linked in the video description.
Some may be skeptical of the choice of film, but I believe this to be one of the most subversive family movies ever made.

Funny thing about Kids 1995, as i understand it, they actually made Harmony Korine add the hiv subplot into the film.

A lot of the films you cover including this one always left me feeling flat and uninspired. I wouldn't know the reason why just that i didn't like the film. It's interesting to hear your analysis and understand the messaging and reasons why these movies are demoralising, and it's concerning how the messaging has its effect even when the viewer is not totally conscious of it.

    • @wyattstagg1783

Likely a result of your instincts rejecting the destructive message. I'm similar - every film I've exposed here, even the ones I liked, gave me a strange feeling. Just a hunch that something was amiss.

In the past I had the same bad feeling after watching Falling down with Michael Douglas. The story of film is filled with Douglas's character justly defending himself in various situation but in the end he is depicted as a villain and dies. I always felt that the ending doesn't make sense to me and I was left with disgust. Today I know why.

@@michalmichalides9082 I've always wanted to share what I've thought about Falling Down because I could always see through it from a young age. Some people like it because of the "funny fast food scene" but really it's depicting D-Fens as an incompetent bad guy when he's the only justified man in the movie. At the end Prendergast admits he knows what's up and could have easily let D-Fens escape or perhaps teamed up with him to do what's right but ultimately chooses to betray another one of his own kind.

Thanks. I don't think it's a reach. In fact, I think I understated my case.
For example, in Genesis 25:25 we read of Esau that he was "red all over".
Turboman is red, Howard is red when he wears the Turboman suit, and Jamie wears red when he gives away the Turboman doll which had just been passed to him from his father, i.e. given as an inheritance.

Just a couple of redundant points from my part:
Curious that at the start of the film, Howard is shown as being an energised and competent worker (bar the faux pas favourite customer comment), a white guy. He also has a woman as an assistant who sees that part of her job is to remind him to go to his sons karate demo.
His wife is a housewife (at least that's the suggestion), suggesting that Howard is the sole breadwinner.
He's shown as the hero at the end of the film.
I dont think any of these things happen now. When was the last time a film was made that depicted a man as the main earner, was competent and was the central figure to rally around at the end of the film?
As a sidenote, Sinbad is one of the lightest skinned black guys ever. He's also a fairly wholesome guy in that much of his work is focused on not swearing or talking about cude topics. He's family friendly. This isn't really relevant to the discussion but I just found it interesting.

I asked her if she thought it was good to lie to your father and steal from your brother and to trick god? She said we just have to accept that god's plan is mysterious to us mortals. Jacob vs. Esau is the most important bible story in my opinion and it's everywhere I looke these days. Great analysis, love your work.

Kevin is the archetype of a nationalist who is above the bread and circuses of the masses, hence the scene where he uses the BB gun to shoot the sports figures. Kevin wears a red shirt at the end of the movie while he valiantly defends his home (homeland) against the invaders. As everyone knows red symbolizes bravery and courage. The old man that saves him at the end of the movie represents intergenerational cooperation against foreign threats. Also Buzz is a Jungian archetype or something similarly pseudointellectual.

I disagree. Jingle All The Way is a wholesome film. Jamie rejects a manufactured role model in favour of his own father. There’s a far more subversive kids film that came out the same year and paved the way for where we are now culturally. It’s called Toy Story. There is no father in Toy Story.

    • @wyattstagg1783
      @wyattstagg1783  13 годин тому +4

You're looking at the film literally. The "manufactured role model" is a symbol that represents more than a plastic toy.
It represents the very masculine power and authority of the father; hence why Turboman and Howard become one in the final scenes.
That power is then given away to the racial other.

How do you react to the following, especially the last part?
    From Wikipedia:
"The film draws inspiration from the high demand for Christmas toys such as the Cabbage Patch Kids and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the late 1980s and early 1990s, which often led to intense searching and occasional violence among shoppers, such as the Cabbage Patch riots, over finding the toys.[5][6] Randy Kornfield wrote the film's original screenplay after witnessing his in-laws go to a Santa Monica toy store at dawn in order to get his son a Power Ranger.[5] While admitting to missing the clamor for the Cabbage Patch Kids and Power Rangers, producer Chris Columbus experienced a similar situation in 1995 when he attempted to obtain a Buzz Lightyear action figure from the film Toy Story, released that year. As a result, he rewrote Kornfield's script, which was accepted by 20th Century Fox. Columbus was always "attracted to the dark side of the happiest holiday of the year", so wrote elements of the film as a satire of the commercialization of Christmas.
Brian Levant was hired to direct the film. Columbus said Levant "understood the humor in the material" and "was very animated and excited, and he had a vision of what he wanted to do". Levant said "The story that was important to me was between the father and son... It's a story about love, and a father's journey to deliver it in the form of a Turbo Man doll. The fact that I got to design a toy line and do the commercials and make pajamas and comic books was fun for me as a filmmaker. But at its root, the movie's about something really sweet. It's about love and building a better family. I think that's consistent with everything I've done."

How does anyone react, who doesn't respect the jewish ideology of critical theory?
With dismissal. The story is false, at no point does ((( levant )))explain how giving away your treasure to the "poor foreigner" is about love and building a better family, unless he's talking about deceiving the white giver into loving self destruction and helping the alien build their family.

Jamie is meant to be 9?
When I was 9 I thought Power Rangers (which is obviously what Turbo Man is modelled on) was lame and corny AF. I would’ve seen the craze for Turbo Man and thought it even more lame that everyone else was obsessed with him to such a degree.
9 year old me, a child of culture, was instead all about the Lego Go-Kart set.

Before I watch this video, I think this is a good film. I edited this down from great.
My observation of the film is that this is obviously a hard working man who provides a very nice life for his wife and son but is given grief for working instead of attending his sons karate show and having to spend Christmas Eve trying to find a toy. Why couldn't his wife have done this instead?

It sucks that this movie has a hidden/not so hidden racial hatred against whyte people message as well as a goofy, rich versus poor message. It's a shame because the movie is actually pretty enjoyable outside of the antiwhyteism and anti Capitalist and possibly anti-Christian messaging of this movie.

"Consumerist civilization" is the accusation being leveled at the western civilizational patrimony by the film's creators. It is not the actual truth. The Turboman is a strawman.

    • @pseudo-analysist9661

@wyattstagg1783 The actual truth is that toys and entertainment items rit large are not more important than the love a father, and that is part of the message of the film. The black character is still the villain of the film even if portrayed sympathetically. And people in America noadays really do waste their time with toys instead of having children.

    • @wyattstagg1783

@@pseudo-analysist9661 That is not the message of the film. If it were, there would be no need for the obvious racial subtext.
If the writers really held the Turboman and what it represents to be unimportant, there would be no significance or redemptive power in it being gifted to Myron; negating the entire message of the story.
The storyline with Howard and Jamie is a trojan horse to convey the racial messaging.

@@wyattstagg1783If the unimportantance of the toy was not the message than why did Jamie say he has the real Turboman at home?
I don't see any redemptive power in gifting it away because the innocent child who gave it away has no need of redemption. The two parents are both shown to be wrong in their efforts and are the ones in need of redemption.

But i have to say i am a subscriber of his, i ll watch his videos every day and i do admit compare to others is the most "hardcore" or atleast "less soft" for my standarts. The lad is making a great job he points the enemy taking time speaking about the JQ and he speaks about racial issues and the white extermination taking place infront of our eyes. To the point that is he won't have his channel banned.

Mark Dice is sort of weak. A few months back when more people than ever were openly talking about "them", Mark Dice finally did too because it was suddenly safe to. Now that it has died down, he's no longer talking about them. He's all for Trump even knowing who Trump is surrounded by. He's got comments turned off on another site. I asked him why and he replied that it was because of spam comments. I find that unlikely since I also have an account there and it's very easy to deal with them, or even just ignore them. That tells me Mark doesn't want anyone 2nd guessing his beliefs, or for others to see opposing views.
Mark and I created youtube accounts on the same exact day in 2007, and I've appreciated a lot of what he's done over the past nearly 18 years, but he's not exactly a revolutionary. We won't get out of the mess we're in with people like him.
