hotline miami 2 was a game that had too many story ideas happening at once. great game, but it seems the success of #1 made the writers do a line of coke and out every idea they thought of into #2

Nah hlm 2 story is 10× better than the first one it made go deep into the characters and the lore of the hlm universe, hlm 1 story is great and its fit to the first game and jacket, but the 2nd is better overall

No, in the first game it's optional, yes, but in the second they made it canonically as if jacket spared him.
I thought jacket kills rictard in his jail cell in the first game
