Welcome back to another episode of my GregTech adventure!
After a year of Gregging in this pack I think it's time for a world tour.
I can't believe that it's been a year already. Many hours have been played in this pack within this year. I have made some decent progress but I know many have done better with their time.
Overall, I am happy with this series so far and look forward to seeing how much further we can get with another year in this pack.
This is my hobby, and I appreciate all the support. The goal is to improve with every episode.

GregTech New Horizons is a Minecraft version 1.7.10 modpack found on the Technic launcher.
7:54 basically you can make steel directly out of iron or you can process iron to get wrought iron and smelt it 5 times faster than regular iron. ev recipe (which you can get to with 2 hv hatches) allows you to get 4 steel in 2.5 seconds using 4 wrought iron and 1 carbon dust. no oxygen needed either. I throw iron ingots/dust in an arc furnace and then macerate it to get wrought iron dust. if you don't wanna bother with that you can ebf regular iron dust but remember it's 5 times slower. still relatively quick recipe though (12.5 seconds for 4 steel)

about your mob farm... given you're playing gtnh I was about to start typing about spawners but then you said you wanted to make a vanilla farm. I'd recommend using a filler to dig out a huge area around you (at least 128 blocks in all directions from the spot where you'd afk). this is definitely the best way to ensure that mobs spawn only on your platforms. altho I'm afraid that claimed chunks could reduce spawn rates on your farm
Oh yeah digging around the “farm” is a great idea! I will be doing that. I will eventually move over to spawners but I wanted to see how a “vanilla” farm would work with all the crazy mobs in this pack.
25:59 it's funny that I wanted to tell you about the sword and then you find it in nei by accident. if you want more wither skulls then skullfire sword is your savior. its tooltip does exactly what it says: you can get wither skulls from regular skeletons
Yeah I will be making that to test it out. There’s so many things to mess around with in this pack that I just overlook.
5:48 I remember telling you before you have to get it from other planets but it turned out I was blind and missed that you can get small ores in the nether. just like you check where to get whatever ore in nei you can check small ores the same way
Yeah I thought it was a little strange to have AE unlock before you can have a fully upgraded LP setup. But you know sometimes that’s the way Gregtech is lol.
38:45 lately I seem to get a lot of videos that have only few views so that's good youtube is promoting not only popular videos. over 4 months I've gotten recommended at least 10 gtnh playthroughs from small channels
Seems like GTNH keeps getting more popular. I honestly think it’s the best mod pack on the market. It is still being worked on and for the size of it, it runs very well.
I was wondering... how good are you at ae2? hearing how you mention ae2 you definitely have some experience don't you?
I do have some experience. Definitely not a pro but I have a general understanding of channels and how the auto crafting works. But it’s been awhile since I have used it.
P2P and sub networks will be something I need to learn for sure though.
